Chapter 562: Chapter 262: Comet Level Battleship, Qin Hu Awakens
Everyone retreated quickly. After finding Qin Hu, there was no reason to linger in the dangerous Land of the End.
Besides, there were the Dragon Lizard People, a prehistoric civilization from Blue Star. Even though both sides seemed friendly for now, no one knew what they truly thought of each other.
So, during the retreat, while carrying Qin Hu on his shoulder, Lin Feng asked about the details of Ling Yi’s earlier negotiation with the Dragon Lizard Captain.
Ling Yi admitted freely:
"They want us to provide more intelligence about the Alien Zerg Race, especially the Realm King that’s blockading the Blue Star Sky Realm."
"Of course, even I don’t know much about that."
"I could only tell them that the Tier Four Realm King periodically releases its digested waste into outer space."
"It’s their only chance to escape, provided they can withstand the crushing turbulence within its intestinal Folding Space. However, it’s a process with almost no chance of survival."
Lin Feng nodded and continued to ask:
"You were arguing so intensely. Did they make another excessive demand?"
Ling Yi shrugged and waved a hand, enveloping the ten Genetic Warriors before them, including Qin Hu, in a Spiritual Shield that insulated them from the influence of the Slaughter.
"Well, the Dragon Lizard Race wanted us humans to provide long-range support from the surface..."
At this, Ling Yi couldn’t help but chuckle.
"So I told the Dragon Lizard Captain about the current situation on Blue Star. I explained that humanity can barely fend for itself, and all the major nations have fallen to the Swarm’s ferocious offensive. The remaining resistance forces are only able to use the Main Continent’s strategic depth to fight a running retreat."
"We’re completely incapable of going into outer space to harass the Zerg Race’s Tier Four Realm King to cover their escape."
"After that, they settled for second best. They wanted us to launch a spacecraft to contact the main Dragon Race fleet stationed outside the Solar System and request their support."
Lin Feng was stunned for a moment. He knew the silver Cosmic Battleship he’d seen before was just an advanced scout ship for the Dragon Race, but he had no idea how much power they had brought with them on their return to Blue Star.
"The Dragon Race didn’t bring any Tier Four Powerhouses with them this time?"
Ling Yi shook their head.
"They didn’t expect an Alien Zerg Race invasion, either. They thought it was just a trip back to their old home."
"It’s only been sixty-five million years since they left Blue Star. In that time, even accounting for the ecological recovery after the Cretaceous extinction, how could a Cosmic Civilization possibly have emerged?"
"The purpose of their return to Blue Star this time is for a single, extremely talented Tier Three Peak Dragon who wants to recollect Dragon Race genes on Blue Star to help them advance to Tier Four."
"They are also the supreme commander of this operation."
"However, the Zerg Race used Wormholes for spatial travel and a Dark Realm to conceal the location of the Solar System. That’s why the Dragon Race fleet can’t lock onto Blue Star’s precise coordinates."
"With humanity’s remaining technological capabilities, it would be extremely difficult to launch a rocket that could break through the Dark Realm’s energy blockade."
"So I advised them not to waste their effort. They should first focus on finding a way to get more useful tech and equipment out of the Realm King’s body and just making it out alive."
"And that was it."
Lin Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly. ’In this encounter, both sides clearly held back. There’s no complete trust between them.’
"Do you think the fleet the Dragon Race brought can stand a chance against the Zerg Race?"
Ling Yi glanced back at the Unyielding Realm where the Dragon Lizard Squad’s camp was located and shook their head.
"Absolutely no chance."
"Since their purpose for coming was to complete the Dragon Race’s genetic makeup, they don’t have a fundamental conflict of interest with the Zerg Race’s invasion."
"But Blue Star is the Dragon Race’s home world, after all. Even after they finish absorbing the genetic library of species that have evolved from their descendants over the past sixty-five million years, they won’t just sit by and watch Blue Star’s ecosystem be utterly destroyed by the Alien Zerg Race..."
"I estimate their main fleet possesses a Comet Level flagship capable of threatening Tier Four Life, but when facing the entire Zerg Race, it’s still not nearly enough."
After hearing Ling Yi’s explanation, Lin Feng said with some surprise:
"Comet Level? It can threaten a Tier Four Cosmic Life?!"
Ling Yi nodded, only then realizing they hadn’t explained this before. They continued:
"These are designations used in the Milky Way Galaxy. Once you enter the Cosmic Life Stage, Tier Four is called Shooting Star Level, Tier Five is Comet Level, and Tier Six is Meteorite Level..."
"As for what’s above that, the Tier Seven True God Stage, that is the Planet Level, where one can condense a Divine Realm. A being at that level can lead a race to prosper for billions of years, achieving eternal existence."
"Obviously, the Dragon Race hasn’t reached that level. Otherwise, they would have long ago established their own ruling Star Realm and moved the entire Solar System out of this desolate region, instead of still drifting aimlessly around Orion."
"Of course, the threat a Comet Level Battleship poses to a Tier Four Cosmic Life is also quite limited. It’s only that its maximum power output can rival a Tier Five Life Form. In other aspects, it’s even inferior to the Spine King who condensed this Land of the End."
"This is also why the Dragon Race is being so cautious."
Lin Feng nodded silently. He now had a rough assessment of the strength of the Dragon Race that had returned to Blue Star.
’Without a Tier Four Being present, this fleet is only a few levels stronger than humanity as a whole. In space, it could perhaps briefly occupy the attention of the Zerg Race’s peak combat forces.’
Seemingly noticing the disappointment in Lin Feng’s eyes, the corners of Ling Yi’s mouth curled up slightly as they continued:
"That may be so, but their purpose in coming here is also to advance to Tier Four, and their progress will be several times faster than humanity’s."
