Chapter 582 - 269: Deterrence, Withdrawal, Ion Laser Cannon Upgrade

Chapter 582: Chapter 269: Deterrence, Withdrawal, Ion Laser Cannon Upgrade

Derived entirely from a Mother Empress’s Body, the Mother Empress’s physical prowess in close combat was only slightly greater than that of a Tier Two Peak Genetic Warrior who had mastered Realm Power.

However, its true purpose, just like a real Mother Empress, lay in its ability to wield Spiritual Power.

This perfectly complemented the First Generation Armored Suit, which was maxed out in terms of physical destructive power.

This was also one of the reasons why Lin Feng wanted to mass-produce the Mother Empress.

First, production was quick and convenient. Second, with several Mother Empress units working in concert, he could ignore the relentless Spiritual Attacks from a Mother Empress Swarm.

He could then unleash the full combat power of the Reproductive Armor Mecha, freely harvesting Tier Three Early-stage Mother Empresses and even accomplishing his ultimate goal:

Killing a Tier Three Mid-stage Mother Empress in the North!

Doing so would allow him to advance to the Tier Three Middle Stage, return to Jin City Base, and reclaim the fallen Southern States!

Meanwhile, Jiang Yun’er, who was piloting the Mother Empress, felt a familiar spiritual fluctuation emanating from the Underground Hive tunnel they had just left, wrapping around her.

After analyzing the fluctuation, she recognized it as the Eastern Mother Empress—the one who had once rescued and guided her.

One of the most powerful Mid-stage Mother Empresses in the entire North!

She was also one of the most calculating and ambitious members of the High-tier Zerg Race.

The Spiritual Power it transmitted carried an extremely secret message:

The Eastern Mother Empress wanted to send an avatar-envoy to meet Jiang Yun’er in the outskirts below Yunxia Ridge.

It was willing to offer the life of a subordinate Early-stage Mother Empress, allowing Jiang Yun’er to first advance to the Tier Three Early Stage, in exchange for her betrayal and allegiance.

Once it successfully hunted down and destroyed the Salvation Army and Qin Hu’s Southern Corps, advancing to the Tier Three Late Stage, it would make Jiang Yun’er a true Zerg Race Mother Empress, a formal member of the great Zerg Race!

At the same time, she would serve as one of its most capable commanders.

Faced with a temptation even more direct than the last, Jiang Yun’er displayed the fervor of a new convert, immediately sending back a spiritual message of acceptance.

In reality, she had already become a complete puppet of Ling Yi.

As a Mid-stage Mother Empress herself, even though this Ling Yi was only an avatar, her mastery of the Infinite Reproduction Realm was no weaker than that of the four great Mid-stage Mother Empresses of the North.

Controlling a Tier Two Peak Mixed Blood Species required only a minor trick.

Everything Jiang Yun’er experienced while piloting the Mother Empress—every battle, every recorded Spiritual Energy Wave—had been meticulously documented by the Blood Zerg parasitizing the back of her head, where it had fused with her nervous system.

All of it was simply waiting to be brought back to the main hive for Ling Yi to peruse.

The underground decapitation strike came to an end, with the Reproductive Armor Mecha leading the Salvation Army to yet another major victory.

The victory in this battle, in turn, created a butterfly effect that spread to the defense of Beihai Town on the surface.

The Swarm besieging Beihai Town completely withdrew.

Qin Hu immediately freed up his forces, arranging for a large number of personnel to help the Salvation Army clean up the Yunxia Ridge battlefield and simultaneously gather the Low-Tier equipment materials he desperately needed.

After arranging for the Tier Two Battle Groups to stand guard in shifts, Lin Feng returned with Jiang Yun’er, Shen Jie, and the others to the main Yunxia Ridge hive, located fifty kilometers behind the front lines in the Northwest.

There, they found Ling Yi operating the Incubation Pyramid and preparing the Organic Nutrient Liquid.

At that moment, the Ion Laser Cannon on the Reproductive Armor Mecha’s left arm

also successfully completed its Upgrade:
