Darius took the rules set by his Master seriously. He swept his gaze around the other fellow warriors and already treated them as his opponent.

Not only he had to be wary against his Master’s attacks, he had to constantly be wary against Fiora and Helena.

As for Hector, he wasn’t a threat. He already treated him as a cheat to bypass the first rule, attacking him once before being allowed to continuously attack either Fiora or Helena.

Out of the two, Helena posed more threat. Darius believed that once he managed to take her down, he would win and didn’t have to shout the humiliating acceptance of defeat.

Darius’ line of thoughts was easily exposed by his subtle action—sweeping his gaze, lingering them mostly on Helena and Fiora.

Helence grinned at him and also betrayed to hide her intention.

"Bring it on, Darius. I will take you down first."

As the two focused on each other, Fiora simply sighed and shrugged.

She gripped her rapier tightly and was ready to win at all costs.

Out of every Radiant Knights, she had not once spoken inside nor outside the Conclave Network, and she certainly didn’t want her first words to utter were the humiliating two words set by her Master.

She has to win at all costs.

Hector, on the other hand, watched in silence as his fellow warriors bicker at each other.

He also did not want to utter the two words, simply because he believed it was akin to injecting poison to himself.

The Radiant Knight’s guardian accept defeat from a ramble? Unforgivable!

Watching his warriors fired up after laying down his rules, Max grinned.

He said, "Enough chit-chatting now. Focus on the training.

It will last for an hour, no break."

Max leapt backward and continued retreating until he believed he was in the safe distance.

His safe distance made his warriors narrowed their eyes.

Their Master’s presence could be seen with naked eyes, but in the battle, he would be hardly perceived.

They possessed a master and servant connection, but at this moment, their Master actually almost diminished that connection, causing their perception on their Master’s presence to vanish.

If they were too focused on their fellow warriors, they would lose track of their master, unless they had to split their consciousness just to perceive his attack.

Despite the situation manipulated by their Master, they didn’t complain. Regardless, they had to remind themselves that they were training to improve themselves, not to chase glory and victory.

As they gripped their weapons and took a battle stance, they waited their Master to commence the battle.

Max grinned and shouted. "Begin!"

Darius leapt towards Helena, and the latter acted the same. Their weapons collided, showing the evenness of their overall strength.

Not one wavered, both were smiling from ear to ear as they exchanged weapons for seconds.

Fiora, on the other hand, had already leapt to Hector and they both exchanged weapons—albeit, their strikes were too light.

Hector simply placed the two towering shields on the ground—one towering shield face to Helena and Darius and the other to his Master’s direction—and simply stood on the ground, letting Fiora attacked his heavy armor.

Fiora’s rapier didn’t even land a scratch—it felt like she was stabbing a rock while her weapon was a branch.

But both understood their intention.

They simply had to abide to the third rule, while conserving their stamina, letting Darius and Helena drained theirs first.

Max watched how the ramble proceeded and only smiled from Fiora and Hector’s tactics.

So long as they were following their rules, they were allowed to perform however they wanted.

On the other hand, Max was now standing beside Jeremiah, who was confused by his Master’s action.

His Master hadn’t made a move yet, seemingly recovering the lost mana.

Jeremiah respectfully asked, "You won’t make a move at any moment, Master?"

Max shook his head. "I’m letting them exposed their own flaws first and observed. I will only make a move when necessary."

Jeremiah nodded in admiration. "When do you think that will happen, Master?"

Max grinned. "When their will can be tested. This is not just a mere training, I ambitiously desire to temper them through trials I can think of for the next few months.

You must assist me."

Jeremiah pondered for a while and replied in an honest tone, "Master, to be honest with you, you possess more wisdom and experience than me when it comes to this situation. Although I can lay down a lot of tactics, when it comes to individual and group’s strength understanding, you are way ahead than me."

Max smiled. He understood what Jeremiah meant.

He said, "I won’t deny. I have a lot of experience on this regard. I devoted six years for nothing."

Max referred to his past life. "But you still have the potential to assist me. I need a wiser assistant, and you are suitable.

If you have any idea that comes into your mind, don’t hesitate to tell me.

Also, just because you thought that way doesn’t mean you must not compose a training plan for us."

Max glanced at him. "You still have to complete that task I give to you. Don’t forget, tomorrow is the deadline."

Jeremiah faced Max and bowed deeply. "Consider it done, Master." His tone was earnest.

His Master’s order was absolute. He must comply.

Max nodded and turned towards the ramble, observing.

At ten minutes, Helena and Darius began showing a clear sign of exhaustion.

They could only take a break every less than ten seconds as they would often switch to Fiora and Hector simultaneously by exchanging weapons lightly, before continuing their intense duel.

But after ten minutes, they began slowing down, acknowledging that they both possessed equal strength.

After finally accepting that neither could defeat each other, they lessen the intensity of their duel, while focusing on defeating Fiora and Hector every exchange.

But Fiora and Hector took the chance of their exhaustion.

They suddenly exploded with strength.

Fiora activated her skill, Radiant Edge, enhancing her rapier’s penetration, and Precision Cut, helping her target Darius and Helena’s penetration.

Adding to that was her Flash Step, allowing her to constantly change attack between Darius and Helena.

Now, both the latter were occupied by Fiora and were shocked by her combat strength...
