Max’s worried from his supports, especially Amelia, was the possibility of forming a deep faith to an individual other than him.

He only wanted them to have faith and devotion on him alone.

However, Amelia’s prayer exposed two major problems that seemed to convey that his notion was purely out of pride.

First was the fact that having faith on other doesn’t necessarily mean betraying him, especially when they would receive benefits as a result.

Second was a painful realization that he was not yet invincible just because he had inherited an SSS-Class legacy.

The SSS-Class legacy blinded him that he had forgotten that he was only at C-Rank.

He was far far far from the level of a true SSS-Rank individual like the statue.

At the same time, Max was awestruck.

He couldn’t help but open his eyes and glanced at the statue in disbelief.

So, he had truly transcend to SSS-Rank.

Even then, he still died?

Such realization disturbed his concentration completely.

He closed his eyes and immediately tried to regain his composure.

But the realization left a huge impact on him.

How could he focus when an SSS-Rank still failed to conquer the demon and had to ultimately sacrifice himself?

Sure, he had already accepted it before, as far as believing that the Church possessed the SSS-Class sequence, but it was half-hearted acceptance.

In his past life, not even a player managed to become an SS-Rank given that there was already an SSS-Class sequence provided.

Even the Church’s history only produced an SS-Rank ever since its establishment.

To think an SSS-Rank would perish and yet was not even recorded in the proper history of the Empire—His existence was only preserved by the Church His followers founded.

Calm down, Max. He’s a support main class. Without a proper powerful individual who He could rely on, He could definitely not protect an overwhelming forces of the demon race.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and exhaled.

Only then he managed to regain his composure.

Perhaps, He’s destined to make a great sacrifice to save the humanity. What a noble, inspiring Man.

Going back to the problem at hand, there’s no problem for me to even convert to His religion.

But I’d rather treat Him as more of my teacher, rather than worshipping Him.

He left a legacy, His Divine Authority, and I must not waste it.

The divine mana must be the scattered Divine Authority that still existed to this day.

Max was in awe.

Now that he had an idea of the wisp of light—seemingly possessing their own sentience—he attempted the same method of Amelia’s meditation.

He clasped his hands and prayed. Godhand of Salvation, your lingering Divine Authority continuous to support and strengthen us. You existed by these fragments of lights...

As soon as he muttered in his mind of his faith to the Godhand of Salvation, the wisp of lights made out of divine mana were startled.

They turned towards Max and slowly hovered around him.

Max wasn’t aware of it yet, he was completely focused on his prayer.

He regretted not learning a single prayer from the Church of Holy Salvation.

However, his faith on the Godhand of Salvation was pure and genuine, inspiring him to create a prayer.

His respect to the Godhand of Salvation after his noble sacrifice went to a deep level that attracted the wisp of light.

I come before You just as I am. Thank You for Your endless love, and for the sacrifice You made to bring us peace and strength. Thank You for empowering us to fight against demons.

Godhand of Salvation, I surrender my worries, fears, and burdens into Your hands. Lend me strength, lend me power, and lend me the ability to help those in need.

I need your help, I need your assistance...

As Max recited a personal prayer of hope, the wisp of lights, at least, a hundred of them that hovered around him finally decided to willingly sacrificed themselves to him.

Max’s silent prayer was disturbed, having to concentrate absorbing and refining the wisp of lights.

At this moment, the system wasn’t notifying him that he was accumulating EXP on the process, as it was sensible enough not to disturb him.

However, Max could feel his Radiant Mana was being strengthened, affecting his passive skills, Summoning Mastery and Mana Link, progressing efficiently.

His lost mana earlier was now fully replenished.

His mana core was being refined as well, but it wasn’t on the situation that his mana points increased.

The effects simply limited to elevating the quality of his Radiant Mana and progressing his passive skills’ proficiently, strengthening his own Authority.

Until now, Max never fully grasped what Authority was, but from the interaction of the Divine Authority fragments of Godhand of Salvation and his own Divine Authority, he perceived that Authority seemed tied to a concept.

For instance, Godhand of Salvation’s Divine Authority definitely leaned to a concept of Salvation.

His protection and preservation of life became an Authority He embodied.

Meanwhile, Max’s Radiant Authority leaned more on Radiant Contract Authority.

As a Summoner, he embodied the Radiant Contract Authority, allowing him to utilize the fundamental power of Radiant Conclave.

Aside from that, Max felt like there was more about Authority he could not yet explore.

He wasn’t worried. It was not a matter of importance to him at the moment, anyway.

Right now, his focus was on strengthening his internal strength from meditation and the environment created by the followers of Godhand of Salvation.

Amelia, who was deeply focused on her prayer to strengthen herself, was startled awake by her Master’s strange behavior.

She opened her eyes and what she had seen almost knocked her out.

Master is praying? I thought he hates this way?

Did he sees me praying?

After a momentarily struck by her Master, she couldn’t help but smile when she finally made him acknowledge of her way of meditation in the prayer consecrated chamber.

It was inevitable for them to ask for intercession or praying directly to the statue that radiated divine mana if they wanted to convert it all to their own.

In other words, they had to pay respect... a deeper one before expecting to be granted by their generosity.

Amelia smiled and glanced at her fellow Radiant Knights and was confident that it would only be a matter of time before they approached a new way of meditation.

Now that their Master had already employed the method...
