Apocalypse Online: Regression of SSS-Class Summoner
Chapter 221: Unified Assault
Owen, Sebastian, Solomon, Theodore, and Jeremiah launched their coordinated assault on Varkhaz.
Owen, with his Radiant Deadeye skill, entered a heightened state of concentration, perceiving Varkhaz’s weak points.
The arrow that manifested in his bow also became concentrated, pouring in more Radiant Mana and causing its density to release a blinding light.
It was as terrifying as Darius’ Radiant Demolition.
After all, with Theodore joining the Unified Assault of their master, the arrow’s armor penetration reached a terrifying level.
Sebastian and Solomon received Theodore’s enchantments.
Theodore’s Radiant Empowerment enveloped Sebastian first, causing the luminous runes across his robes and spell tome to shine intensely.
Sebastian’s spell circles immediately began rotating faster.
The mana within them became denser, more stable, and significantly more destructive.
His Arcane Lance condensed into a brilliant spear of radiant energy, its penetration greatly enhanced by Theodore’s enchantment.
Instead of using his new skill, Sebastian ultimately chose Arcane Lance—a concentrated magical projectile designed to penetrate a tough single opponent.
Meanwhile, Solomon received a different effect from Theodore’s enchantment.
Theodore’s enchantment synchronized with Solomon’s innate affinity toward Radiant Mana, causing the golden light surrounding his body to flare violently.
Two floating circles appeared above him, and once they were completed, Purification Beam and Divine Illumination manifested.
Solomon chose not to cast Divine Illumination directly above Varkhaz, fearing that the floating circle would be broken by Varkhaz’s Hellfire.
His Purification Beam became denser and brighter, while his Divine Illumination intensified its suppression against demonic energy.
For a demon of Varkhaz’s caliber, the effect was particularly troublesome.
With Theodore enhancing both of them, Sebastian became their piercing magical artillery, while Solomon became their anti-demonic executioner.
Lastly, Jeremiah’s Radiant Precognition transmitted his predictions through Command Synchronization.
He predicted that Varkhaz’s body could handle the impact.
If only Owen, Sebastian, and Solomon failed to specifically target Varkhaz’s weaknesses.
It was precisely why Jeremiah belonged to the five maximum Radiant Knights for his master’s Unified Assault skill.
The Unified Assault skill provided +10% Combined Attack Efficiency, allowing their attacks to land within a narrow timing window.
At the same time, their damage was partially increased.
For Max, the Unified Assault skill was actually his most powerful skill.
Of course, Radiant Advance was no less powerful than Unified Assault.
Darius and Helena charged at Varkhaz while using their new skills.
Helena used her new skill, Radiant Breakthrough, while Darius used Radiant Charge while simultaneously gathering Radiant Mana into his greataxe.
Fiora, on the other hand, didn’t join her master’s Radiant Advance.
Max knew that Varkhaz’s legion, especially the remaining captains, would try to intercept his Radiant Knights’ attack.
If any of the Radiant Knights participating in his Unified Assault skill were interrupted, Unified Assault would be canceled.
Hence, Fiora was the one who stopped any Greater Demons under Vexir and Belzura’s command from attempting to defend Varkhaz.
In fact, Damon acted similarly to Fiora, while Hector and Magnus used their defensive skills and spells to continue supporting the demon hunters.
As the Radiant Knights launched their coordinated assault and advance, the demons on the main battlefield felt helpless against the demon hunters’ attacks.
Not only could they not kill them because of Seraphina and Amelia’s absurd healing spells, but Magnus and Hector’s protection made it even more difficult to continue injuring the demon hunters.
At the same time, the demon hunters were more fearsome than them.
The fact that they appeared to have lost their minds and only wanted to kill more demons was horrifying to say the least.
Every demon they claimed a life from seemed to invigorate them even more.
The demons would rather have discouraged and frightened demon hunters to fight against—even with the help of their monster support aiding them in the backline—than these enthusiastic maniacs who became even more fervent in fighting whenever they were wounded.
The demons felt helpless.
Vexir and Belzura could only watch as the Radiant Knights advanced toward Varkhaz.
Varkhaz saw how the current event unfolded and sighed.
Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that he, the great Varkhaz, who would soon become a Demon Lord and leave his mentor’s territory to build his own, would suffer at the hands of humans.
Seeing Max’s face grinning at him, he was infuriated.
However, he was currently helpless.
Unless he unleashed the power of his Ash Crown again, it would completely deplete his demonic core afterward.
It would only prolong his impending doom.
Thud!
He heard a noise near him and saw the seemingly lifeless body of the Holy Knight.
However, the Holy Knight was still alive, albeit unconscious.
Since Varkhaz was the one who forced him into his current state, he might as well bring the Holy Knight with him.
He could not escape now, after all—their Rift Binder was already dead.
Varkhaz raised his Ashrender, aiming to kill the Holy Knight first.
Seraphina saw through his action and decided to cast her unique innate ability, Echo of the Godhand.
As a Saintess, she possessed a microscopic resonance with the residual Authority of the deceased Godhand.
She could not fully control it yet, but she could automatically activate it under extreme circumstances.
It could prevent the Holy Knight from dying.
But in return, she would be unable to control the Authority for some time.
She had never been able to use it before, and the High Pontiff had strongly warned her to only use it for very important occasions.
Worse, the High Pontiff had to train Seraphina to become accustomed to witnessing her patients die in front of her, preventing her from carelessly using her unique innate ability.
Hence, using it on the Holy Knight was definitely worth it.
Just as Seraphina was summoning the microscopic resonance of the Authority of the Godhand of Salvation, Max’s Unified Assault finally bombarded Varkhaz.
The piercing arrow bolted through Varkhaz’s body, seemingly as if Varkhaz’s armor didn’t exist.
The Arcane Lance pierced through without difficulty as well.
All because Solomon’s Purification Beam and Divine Illumination had weakened Varkhaz terribly...
