Chapter 181: Making Wine

After she was on board, Ye Yunyi pulled her straight down into a sitting position.

He felt Lin Xuerou’s delicate hand.

Her hands lived up to her name.

Slightly cool to the touch.

And very soft!

‘Nice!’

Lin Xuerou, for her part, hadn’t expected Ye Yunyi to actually grab her hand.

She froze for a moment!

Then, she understood his intention.

‘Oh, he just wants me to sit down.’

She went along with it and sat down.

But then,

she started to feel awkward.

After all, even though she was sitting now, Ye Yunyi still hadn’t let go of her hand.

“Lord Ye… this is…”

Lin Xuerou stammered.

A blush crept onto her face.

However,

her voice was lost in the fierce whistling of the wind beside them.

Seeing her expression, Ye Yunyi seemed to understand.

He shouted, “I’m holding onto you, otherwise I’m afraid you’ll fall off!”

As he spoke, Ye Yunyi patted the Qingling Roc’s back.

The Qingling Roc understood Ye Yunyi’s intent.

Then, its speed suddenly soared!

‘This!’

Lin Xuerou felt the speed, her eyes widening. She could hardly believe what she was seeing!

‘The sonic booms!’

They were incessant!

‘And!’

‘Riding a giant bird, soaring straight into the clouds!’

‘This view!’

‘It’s too beautiful!’

In that instant, Lin Xuerou felt as if her very soul was being uplifted.

She completely forgot that Ye Yunyi was still holding her hand.

She focused all her attention on the passing scenery.

But happy times are always fleeting.

A short while later,

the Qingling Roc began its descent,

arriving at the Medicine Alliance.

At this moment,

inside the Medicine Alliance, everyone was working with fiery enthusiasm!

Their motivation was through the roof!

“This batch of medicine is ready!”

an Alchemist said, his face alight with excitement. After all, this would count toward his merits.

Beside him, another Alchemist looked on with envy. “What, you just didn’t go home last night?”

“You bet. I was watching this cauldron of medicine the whole time.”

“The Zhao Family Patriarch invited me over last night, and I turned him down flat!”

This single sentence made many people nearby turn their heads in surprise.

‘Holy crap.’

‘The Zhao Family Patriarch, he’s a Star Level Mutant, isn’t he?’

‘He invited you, and you just refused?’

“You’re putting on some serious airs now, aren’t you!”

someone nearby commented, but was cut off by a cold snort. The Alchemist who had just spoken looked at him. “You clearly don’t understand our status now!”

“Our current Alliance Leader is nothing like the old one. The new Alliance Leader’s strength is extraordinary. I heard he can already go toe-to-toe with a King General!”

“Those Patriarchs are incredibly respectful to us now. After all, we’re with the Alliance Leader.”

“You think he was giving me face? He was giving the Alliance Leader face!”

His words made everyone’s eyes widen, and they all sucked in a sharp breath!

‘So that’s how it is!’

They spent all their time in the Medicine Alliance and rarely went out, so they had no idea their status had risen to such a degree!

But, setting that aside, even just the benefits Ye Yunyi provided were much better than what the previous Alliance Leader offered.

As they were thinking about this,

the next moment,

they felt a dark shadow pass overhead!

It blotted out the sky!

It gave them all a huge fright!

They all looked up at the sky!

Then, they saw a giant bird soaring overhead!

“It’s! It’s the Alliance Leader’s giant bird!”

“The Alliance Leader is here!”

Ye Yunyi flew directly to the center of the Medicine Alliance.

Then, he jumped down with Lin Xuerou.

Lin Xuerou took in her surroundings.

The fragrance of herbs filled the air!

Moreover, she had just been looking down at the Medicine Alliance from the back of the Qingling Roc.

‘This place is absolutely massive!’

‘This entire place belongs to Lord Ye?’

‘His enterprise is just incredible!’

A moment later, a high-ranking member appeared. Ye Yunyi saw him and called for him to enter a room with them.

“How has progress been recently?”

“Alliance Leader, this is the register of recently created medicines. Ever since you used the Nutrient Liquid in the herb garden, not only has the medicinal potency improved, but the success rate of Alchemy has also increased by several, even ten-fold!”

After a brief exchange, Ye Yunyi nodded.

He looked at the medicines refined during this period.

‘Whoa!’

‘That’s quite a haul!’

‘With this, I can synthesize a lot of top-tier medicines!’

Ye Yunyi then looked at Lin Xuerou beside him.

“How about you help out here for now?”

“Okay.”

Lin Xuerou nodded. Finally, there was somewhere she could be of help.

Ye Yunyi turned to the high-ranking member. “I’ll leave her with you. She’ll be helping out here from now on. Show her the ropes.”

That one sentence…

…fell upon the high-ranking member’s ears.

The high-ranking member looked at Lin Xuerou.

‘What a beautiful, pure-looking young lady.’

Then, he recalled the rumors he’d heard from outside.

‘The Alliance Leader loves beautiful women; they call him the marriage fiend.’

‘If that’s the case…’

‘…this little beauty must be his next one, more or less!’

In an instant, he got the message.

He then looked at Lin Xuerou. “You’ll be with me from now on. I’ll give you a tour of the Medicine Alliance in a bit.”

“You two go ahead. I’m going to check on the apothecary,”

Ye Yunyi said, then waved his hand.

Lin Xuerou went out with the high-ranking member.

Then, Ye Yunyi went straight into the apothecary.

Looking at the medicines inside, he thought, ‘As expected!’

‘With a higher success rate, the results are on another level!’

‘Plus, with the Divine-level Mutant Plant Nutrient Liquid, the quality is also extraordinary!’

Afterward,

Ye Yunyi began to synthesize medicines.

In the end, he managed to synthesize dozens of top-tier medicines.

He took out a dozen or so.

Added some Mutant Plants!

And Crystal Cores!

Then mixed in the Divine-level Wine Leaven!

Ye Yunyi found a large vat and put everything inside.

He looked at the vat with anticipation. ‘After all, with so many good ingredients, the resulting wine will probably be a super tonic!’

「Meanwhile.」

Outside,

the high-ranking member was giving Lin Xuerou a tour.

“This is the herb garden.”

Lin Xuerou looked at the herb garden.

She froze in astonishment!

‘What’s going on?’

‘Why do the Mutant Plants here look like this?’

‘They seem different from the ones I usually see!’

The high-ranking member beside her noticed her confusion. “Miss Lin, the Mutant Plants here were originally the same as the ones outside. However, Lord Ye gave us a type of Nutrient Liquid. Sprinkling it on these Mutant Plants causes them to mutate further!”

“Not only is the quality vastly superior, but it also gives a huge boost to our success rate!”

“That’s why our daily output of medicine is now enormous!”

“Furthermore, Lord Ye also improved our formulas!”

“Later, you’ll probably come into contact with them yourself. When you do, you’ll understand just how incredible Lord Ye is.”

…

The high-ranking member enthusiastically explained everything, singing Ye Yunyi’s praises.

This included the boost in the Medicine Alliance’s influence and other aspects.

Lin Xuerou listened, completely dumbfounded.

She never imagined that Ye Yunyi had accomplished so much!

Instantly, the image of Ye Yunyi in her mind grew even grander.

‘He’s just too amazing!’
