Apocalypse Rebirth: Making Billions With My Fortune-Telling Skill
Chapter 357: Sir Knight... Let’s Do It
Nat’s jaw clenched so hard a muscle jumped violently, his amber eyes flaring with jealousy as he glared at the ring. Beside him, Xavier’s smile completely vanished, his fingers tightening around his crystal glass until the stem nearly snapped.
?A gift. It was a ring for fuck sake. A quiet, bold declaration right in front of them—taking things one step further before their very eyes.
?April, completely tipsy and blissfully oblivious to the deadly silent war breaking out around her, lifted her hand into the air.
The silver ring flickered under the chandelier, revealing tiny, delicate inscriptions of her name running along the surface, though her blurry vision couldn’t make them out clearly.
?A light, innocent blush bloomed across her face, making her look like an innocent maiden caught in a sweet dream.
?"It’s so pretty..." April gasped softly, her lips curving into an irresistibly sweet, breathtaking smile as she twirled her finger, watching the silver catch the light. "Sir Knight... it’s so shiny..."
?Alexander’s breath hitched in his throat.
?The sight of her—flushed, giggly, completely unshielded and radiantly beautiful—struck him straight in the chest with devastating force. He couldn’t take it anymore.
?Without a second thought, Alexander leaned down, cupping both sides of her warm, flushed face with his large hands, and brought his lips down on hers in a deep, possessive kiss right in front of the whole table.
?A quiet, breathless hum escaped April’s throat. Instead of pulling back, she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her slender fingers tangling into his blonde hair as she kissed him back with matching, alcohol-fueled heat.
?Nat let out a harsh, sharp intake of air, slamming his hand against the mahogany table, while Xavier stood up from his chair, his dark eyes burning with unvarnished hunger.
?When Alexander finally pulled back just an inch, their lips still brushing, April opened her hazy eyes, looking up into his storm of icy blue.
?"Sir Knight..." April whispered rasply, a wicked, intoxicating smirk breaking through her innocent blush as her hands slid down to his shoulders. "...let’s do it."
?The entire dining room went deathly still.
?Every single man caught his breath at once. This drunk, uninhibited April was utterly impossible to resist.
She was already a dangerous, irresistible trap on a normal day, but now—flushed, giggly, her eyes dark with raw desire and her emerald dress pulling taut against her curves—she looked like a feast already prepared and laid out directly on their table.
Alexander’s hands trembled against her jaw, his blue eyes darkening into a storm of unadulterated, possessive hunger.
"You shouldn’t say things like that when you’re drunk, April," he rasped out, his voice thick and rough against her swollen lips. "Because I won’t hesitate to take you at your word."
?"Who says she’s just talking to you, Greels?" Nat’s voice cut through the silence like a sharp blade.
?With a low, feral growl, Nat surged up from his seat. His hands came down on her bare shoulders. His thumbs pressed firmly into her collarbone, possessive and scorching, pulling her back against his broad chest until her head rested over his pounding heart.
?"You heard the lady," Nat growled, his golden eyes blazing down at Alexander with pure, lethal defiance. "She wants a feast. And I’m sure as hell not letting you eat alone."
Alexander wanted to protest but when he opend his mouth no words came out. It was clear April was drunk, so she probably didn’t mean to do it with just him. He would lose the argument before he even started it, so he swallowed it.
?Xavier stepped up to her left. He unbuttoned his jacket, casually tossing it over the back of a chair before reaching out. His long fingers caught her chin, tilting her flushed face up toward his dark, burning gaze.
?"You’ve driven us completely out of our minds tonight, April," Xavier whispered softly, his voice dipping into an intoxicating hum that vibrated straight through her skin.
He leaned down, brushing his lips against the shell of her ear as his hand slid down the emerald silk covering her waist, pulling her closer to the edge of the table. "Look at what you’ve caused us..."
?April let out a light, melodic chuckle, her brown eyes hazy and dark as she looked up at the three men surrounding her like a pack of wolves. She stretched her left hand out, the new silver ring glinting under the chandelier light as she flexed her slender fingers.
?"The table is long enough..." April purred softly, a wicked, flushed smirk curving her lips as her head rolled back against Nat’s chest. "Don’t tell me... you three can’t share?"
?Nat’s breath hitched violently, a dark, dangerous laugh breaking from his throat. "Share? Sweetheart, we’re going to devour you."
?Without another word, Alexander hooked his hands beneath her thighs, lifting her effortlessly right off her chair. The emerald silk of her dress bunched up around her hips, revealing the smooth skin of her legs ending in those crystal acrylic heels.
Thankfully, the plates had been cleared already when they finished their meals, before they focused more on drinking. ?In one swift motion, Alexander cleared the glasses with a sweep of his arm, sending them clattering down the far end of the mahogany table, and set April right down in the center of the dark, polished wood.
?The cold surface of the table hit her bare skin, making her gasp softly, but before she could shift, Nat was already leaning over her, his large frame blocking out the chandelier light above.
Xavier caught her wrist, bringing her hand up to his mouth to press a burning, deep kiss against her inner arm, while Alexander stepped right between her parted knees, his eyes locked onto hers with absolute, unyielding intent.
?Standing off in the quiet shadows by the sideboard, Samuel’s chest gave a sharp, heavy heave. His fingers tightened around his white apron until the fabric groaned, his eyes burning behind his wire-rimmed glasses as he watched the scene unfold—forced to serve silently.
Though, he reached into his pocket, brought out a small note book and pen, joting down a few important points as he watched.
?Alexander reached out, his long fingers catching the delicate neckline of her emerald dress, slowly pulling the silk down.
?"Your move, April..." Alexander rasped, his voice dropping into a low, breathless command against her lips.
