Rose quickly pulled off her shirt, revealing her upper body. However, she kept one hand wrapped around herself, despite the fact that she hadn’t removed her bra. Ivy couldn’t help wondering what exactly the girl was trying to cover when she had already taken off her shirt.

Without wasting any more time, Rose proceeded to pull off her shorts as well, her expression growing increasingly irritated.

“Are you satisfied now?” Rose demanded, a hint of anger creeping into her voice. “Since you’ve seen my body, I guess I’m free to go. I refused to take off my clothes earlier because of the ugly birthmark on my back.”

As she spoke, Rose turned around, revealing a huge, dark-red birthmark on her back. It was shaped like a flower, its unusual appearance making it stand out against her skin.

“Your birthmark isn’t ugly, Rose,” one of the female students remarked gently. “It’s actually shaped like a flower. It’s beautiful, and you don’t have to be ashamed of it.”

The girl reached out as though she wanted to touch the birthmark, but Rose immediately moved away from her. Clearly uncomfortable with the attention, she turned around and reached for her shirt, intending to put it back on.

“Hold on!” Ivy’s voice rang out, stopping her in her tracks.

Rose froze, her fingers barely touching the fabric.

“You’ve only taken off your shirt, and I haven’t finished inspecting your body yet,” Ivy stated firmly.

“What else is there to inspect?” Rose snapped, turning to face her with an irritated expression. “Wouldn’t you have noticed if I had been injured by now? You’ve already seen enough!”

She reached for her shirt again, determined to put an end to the humiliating situation. However, just as she was about to slip it over her head, Ivy grabbed the other end of the garment.

“Let go of me, you woman!” Rose yelled, immediately struggling to wrestle her shirt away from Ivy.

Unfortunately for her, Ivy was much stronger. With a forceful tug, she pulled the garment from Rose’s grasp, causing the latter to lose her balance and fall to the ground. Ivy remained standing, holding Rose’s shirt in her hand.

Rose immediately tried to get back up, but Ivy’s gaze had already fallen on something that caught her attention.

“Isn’t that a wound on your body?” Ivy asked sharply.

Her eyes were fixed on a tiny wound on Rose’s stomach. The moment she realized that Ivy had noticed it, Rose hurriedly scrambled to her feet and covered the wound with her hand, as though she could somehow conceal it from everyone.

“Why wouldn’t I have a wound when you just pushed me to the ground?” Rose retorted angrily. “Of course, my stomach scraped against the ground when I fell! It’s all your fault!”

She glared at Ivy, her expression filled with indignation, as though she expected everyone present to take her side.

“You expect me to believe that?” Ivy raised an eyebrow and let out a scoff. “Do I look like a child to you?”

She studied the wound more carefully, her expression growing increasingly serious.

“That doesn’t look like a fresh wound at all. The blood has already dried, which means you couldn’t have sustained it just now.”

Rose’s expression changed for a brief moment, but she quickly recovered and raised her voice again.

“Why do you hate me so much?!” she demanded, staring at Ivy in disbelief. “Fine, I know you refused to take us students with you when we asked earlier, but when the monsters broke into the room, we had no choice but to rush here! You don’t have to keep looking for excuses to kill us just because you want to get rid of us!”

She took a step back, clutching her stomach protectively.

“Once we leave this underground parking lot, we’ll all go our separate ways. You won’t have to worry about us anymore, so why can’t you just let us go?”

Rose’s voice trembled with anger, but there was something else beneath it. She seemed desperate to convince everyone that she was the victim in this situation.

“I only sustained this wound just now, but you’re insisting that it’s not fresh!” she continued, raising her voice even further. “If you hadn’t pushed me to the ground, would I have gotten injured in the first place? You’re the one who caused this, yet you’re blaming me for it!”

“Remove your hand from the wound and let everyone see it,” Ivy ordered coldly.

As she spoke, she reached into the waistband of her trousers and pulled out her gun. She then retrieved a bullet and began loading it into the weapon, her movements deliberate and unhurried.

The sight of the gun caused the surrounding students to fall silent.

“I…” Rose stammered, her confidence faltering as she stared at the weapon in Ivy’s hand.

For the first time, she seemed unable to find the right words to defend herself.

“You…” She swallowed hard, her eyes widening as she watched Ivy continue loading the bullet. “You want to kill me?”

Her voice rose in disbelief.

“You want to kill an innocent person?”

“If the wound isn’t fresh, you’ll die,” Ivy replied with a scoff, her expression completely unbothered by Rose’s accusations. “But if it’s genuinely fresh, then you’ll live. So, what’s there to be afraid of if you’re telling the truth?”

Rose stared at her as though she had just heard the most ridiculous thing in the world. Her hand remained firmly pressed against her stomach, and she showed no intention of moving it away.

“I…”

Before she could say anything else, Ivy continued loading the bullet, making it clear that she had no intention of backing down.

“Fuck you, bitch!” Rose suddenly screamed.

Without waiting for Ivy to finish loading her gun, she turned around and bolted.

Her sudden escape caught everyone by surprise.

Darren and the other soldiers, who had been standing on the opposite side of the wall and were unaware of what had transpired between Ivy and Rose, watched in confusion as the girl came rushing past them.

“Where the fuck is she going?” one of the soldiers blurted out, turning to watch her retreating figure.

“Come back, Rose!” the other students shouted, calling after her in disbelief.

However, Rose didn’t even look back. She continued running as fast as her legs could carry her, desperate to get away before Ivy could finish loading her weapon.

Darren’s expression immediately turned serious as he realized that something was wrong.

“Is she bitten?” he asked, turning his attention toward Ivy.

Ivy nodded in response.

Without wasting another second, Darren grabbed his gun and raised it, aiming directly at Rose while she was still within sight.

However, just as he was about to pull the trigger, Ivy suddenly reached out and placed her hand on his gun, stopping him from firing.
