Chapter 903: Hard to Track Down

"Let’s just kill this woman." Master Ning stared at the woman and felt annoyed. He had no interest in listening to the woes of a woman who had lost her soul. Why would he even bother listening to the worries of this woman’s heart when he could have used this time to look for the king snake?

However, before he could make a move, he was stopped by Lu Yin. She raised her hand and said to the man, "Didn’t you say that you wanted to get inside the safe base? She has a cousin living in the safe base with Bai Meiyue. What’s more, the two of them are quite chummy with one another; surely if we use her well, we would be able to get inside the safe base."

When she was staying with Bai Meiyue in the old space, she had seen Meng Suisui worrying about Meng Anzhi all the time. Even when the woman committed many mistakes, Meng Suisui had never turned her back on Meng Anzhi. Surely, as long as they used Meng Anzhi well, they would be able to deal with Meng Suisui and control her well.

Thus, Lu Yin felt that they could use Meng Anzhi.

She turned to look at Master Ning and said, "Train her well, and make sure that you do not kill her off while you are training her. Whether or not we can enter the safe base depends on how well you train this woman."

Dacheng rolled his eyes when he heard Lu Yin’s remarks. It seemed like the woman was still unwilling to let go. She still wanted to go against Bai Meiyue. However, this had nothing to do with him. If she wanted to go against Bai Meiyue, then she could go against her as much as she wanted. However, the pretext was that she did not cause him trouble.

"Let’s go." Dacheng knew that there was no point in staying in front of the safe base anymore. Now that Bai Meiyue had come up with another way to deal with the attacks, there was a good chance that she would come after them if they were not quick to escape. What was more, this new defence trick that she had come up with could deal with not only the human head spiders but also the ability users. There was no point in lingering any longer.

If they still have time, they should leave, or else Bai Meiyue would not leave them alone. Even if he did not join hands with Lu Yin and the rest, it did not change anything.

Dacheng was right. The first thing that Bai Meiyue did after she woke up was send some people after their convoy. Just because she was recovering after giving birth did not mean that she had completely forgotten what those bastards had done when she was done. She immediately arranged a team and sent it to hunt down Dacheng, but the man was sly.

He knew that Bai Meiyue would come after him, so he left before she could even track him down; he even covered his tracks to make sure that no one would be able to trace him down.

When Bai Meiyue heard that they had actually escaped, she could not help but snort. She had a feeling that it was going to happen. After all, Dacheng was known for being opportunistic. He would take advantage of the smallest benefit that he could gain, but at the same time, when it was time to face consequences, he would run faster than ever.

"What should we do now?" Bai Zhan asked while looking at his sister, who was sipping on the mutton soup that their mother had prepared for her. "Shall we send more teams to chase them down?"

"That will be a waste of time." Bai Meiyue shook her head and refused. "Dacheng is known for hiding and keeping a low profile. If he doesn’t want to be found out, then no matter what you do, you will not be able to track him down. So leave him alone; there is no point in chasing after him."

"But—"

"Listen to me, brother. There is indeed no point in going after that man." Bai Meiyue wanted to spend the next month or so in peace. She had no desire to hunt down Dacheng. Even if she were to go after him, nothing good would come of it.

Seeing that Bai Meiyue was determined, Bai Zhan did not insist. He was about to take his leave, but then he paused and said, "Bai Wenxuan wants to see you. He says that he would like to meet with his nephew."

He couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that Bai Wenxuan was his cousin and had no idea how to treat that man.

Even Bai Meiyue had no idea how to deal with that man. When she heard that he wanted to meet with his nephew, she could not help but feel a bit troubled. She frowned, feeling a bit awkward, and said, "I will see what to do."

She did not want to meet with Bai Wenxuan right now. After all, she was still recovering, and she had no intention of suffering a headache.

Bai Zhan nodded. He understood her feelings quite well. After all, the Bai family had never done anything for them; it was quite difficult for their family to get along with them.

"Alright, I will let him know." Bai Zhan nodded and took his leave.

When her older brother left, Bai Meiyue heaved a sigh of relief. She was worried that her brother would insist on letting her meet with Bai Wenxuan; it was a good thing that her elder brother was able to understand her feelings.

With everything going peacefully, Bai Meiyue was able to spend the rest of the time with ease. She did not have to worry about anything, and with Dacheng gone, she was living quite well without any worries. Even Bai Cai was having a good time, he actually gained three catties in just a month!
