Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1311: The Three Organizations

Lelouch had always been a strange figure.

On the surface, he was simply the commander of the Iron Bear Guard, a powerful warrior who had reached the level of a Grand Knight despite being considerably younger than most people who attained that rank.

However, Arthur knew that Lelouch’s strength had not come entirely from talent or training.

He was an experimental soldier.

Years ago, the Empire of Volgrad had secretly conducted experiments intended to create warriors capable of reaching the Grand Knight realm through artificial means. Most of those experiments had ended in failure. Some of the subjects had died, while others had been left permanently crippled after their bodies failed to withstand the immense power forced into them.

Lelouch had been one of the few successful subjects.

His body had been modified through a combination of magical procedures, rare medicines, and ancient techniques. His muscles, bones, organs, and even his internal energy pathways had been strengthened far beyond what an ordinary human possessed.

Arthur had heard that Lelouch could fight for hours without exhausting himself and recover from injuries that would have taken an ordinary warrior months to heal.

Of course, none of this was publicly acknowledged.

The Empire of Volgrad had never admitted that the Iron Bear Guard’s commander was the product of an experiment.

As far as the rest of the continent was concerned, Lelouch was simply an exceptionally talented Grand Knight.

But Arthur knew better.

’An artificial Grand Knight...’

The existence of someone like Lelouch had always been controversial among the highest-ranking powers on the continent. Becoming a Grand Knight normally required extraordinary talent, countless battles, and years of cultivation. Yet Volgrad had attempted to bypass that process by transforming the human body itself.

The results had been impressive.

They had also been dangerous.

Arthur had never completely trusted the experiments, but he couldn’t deny their effectiveness. Lelouch was proof that the Empire of Volgrad had managed to accomplish something that most kingdoms considered impossible.

Soon, Arthur began explaining the situation...

When he finished, Lelouch remained silent for several seconds.

"You’re certain the tower appeared overnight?"

"Yes."

"And you lost contact with your officials?"

"All of them."

Lelouch’s expression became grim.

"Then you have a problem."

Arthur nodded. "I know."

"Do you believe it’s connected to the Vampires?"

"We don’t know. But there is something else. The reports mention an army of black-armored creatures inside the tower."

Lelouch’s expression changed.

"An army?"

"We don’t know how many there are."

Lelouch slowly shook his head.

"If something powerful enough to create an army appeared outside one of your major cities without warning, charging toward it would be foolish."

Arthur gave a faint nod. "That’s why we are informing you... Is there any similar incident in your land?"

"There’s nothing like that."

Lelouch then recalled something and added.

"I can tell you need some help... I will send some of our best scouts to look into this. If the tower is connected to something moving through the continent, we may be able to learn about it before it reaches us."

"Do that."

The connection ended, and Arthur immediately activated the World Mirror for the third time.

This time, he contacted the Grand Duchy of Ruslan.

’Whew... I hope this works well...’

The image that appeared within the mirror was completely different from the previous two. Instead of a military command room, Arthur saw an enormous library filled with towering bookshelves. Hundreds of magical lights floated near the ceiling, illuminating countless ancient books and scrolls.

A young-looking woman sat behind a large desk covered with documents. She had long dark-red hair and pale skin, while a pair of thin spectacles rested on her nose.

Her name was Irina Chernov, the Grand Archivist of Ruslan and leader of the Silver Veil Society.

Unlike the White Wolf Legion and the Iron Bear Guard, the Silver Veil Society was not primarily a military organization. It was composed of high-ranking sorcerers, scholars, researchers, and experts who specialized in ancient civilizations, mystical artifacts, forgotten formations, and supernatural phenomena.

Arthur considered them the organization most likely to recognize the mysterious tower.

Irina looked at him through the mirror.

"Commander Arthur. This is unexpected."

"I need your help."

That immediately caught her attention.

Arthur explained everything they had learned about the tower. He described its appearance, the ancient runes, the Dark Energy, the black-armored creatures, and the sudden disappearance of communication from the officials stationed in Atrium City.

When he finished, Irina’s relaxed expression had disappeared.

"Show me the tower."

Arthur turned the World Mirror toward one of the images drawn by the scouts...

Irina stared at it.

For several seconds, she didn’t say anything.

Then she suddenly stood up.

"Impossible."

Arthur frowned. "You recognize it?"

"No."

Irina slowly approached the mirror, her eyes fixed on the distant structure.

"But I’ve seen something similar before."

Mordred immediately stepped closer.

"Where?"

"In an ancient manuscript."

Irina pushed her spectacles higher on her nose.

"It described a structure called Arcane Tower. The manuscript was thousands of years old, and most scholars believed the information was nothing more than mythology."

Arthur’s expression became serious.

"Does it mention who built it?"

Irina shook her head.

"Not clearly. Most of the records were incomplete."

She looked directly at Arthur.

"But if your description is accurate, I strongly recommend that you do not allow anyone to enter that tower."

"Why?"

Irina hesitated.

"Because structures like that aren’t usually built as homes."

Arthur waited.

"They are built as strongholds."

The room became silent.

Irina continued, "And if there really is an army inside, then whoever controls that tower may have just established a military stronghold in your territory."

Arthur’s eyes squinted...

That was exactly what he had feared.

Irina then asked, "What happened to your officials in Atrium City?"

"We lost contact with all of them."

Her expression immediately became serious.

"Then you should assume the worst."

Arthur nodded.

"That’s why I’m contacting you."

"I’ll search the Silver Veil archives. If the tower resembles anything recorded in our ancient texts, I’ll inform you immediately."

"Thank you."

Arthur ended the connection.

The chamber became quiet once again.

Three organizations had been contacted.

The White Wolf Legion of the Kingdom of Varyag.

The Iron Bear Guard of the Empire of Volgrad.

And the Silver Veil Society of the Grand Duchy of Ruslan.

They were among the most powerful organizations on the continent, and each of them had now been informed about the mysterious tower outside Atrium City.

More importantly, Arthur had finally confirmed something that had been bothering him since he first read the report.

Atrium City was no longer responding to Davai Kingdom.

That alone was enough to treat the city as compromised.

Mordred slowly looked toward Arthur.

"What do we do now?"
