Armed Train in the Apocalypse
Chapter 872 - 493: Embers of the Long Night (Part 2)
The Evil Anomaly’s face was grim, with bloodstained eyeballs following Su Huan’s movements.
"No consciousness, can’t understand human language, huh?" Su Huan squatted down, staring into the eyes of the Evil Anomaly, frowning as he assessed its intelligence.
"Why are you throwing..."
Before the Evil Anomaly could finish its sentence, Su Huan slapped it back. The sound wasn’t crisp, more like dispersing mist.
Watching his empty hand, Su Huan pondered, "Simple sound, light, and electricity don’t work on you, only pure Pan Energy can affect you, but even then, the effect is minimal?"
The Evil Anomaly on the snowy surface appeared like a wavering projection, merely swaying, with no change in the icy and venomous expression in its eyes.
It continued to mutter that sentence repeatedly.
’Similar to the energy bodies of Pale Demons, lacking much self-awareness. Is it hunting life out of instinct, or is someone controlling them to target humanity specifically?’
’It doesn’t resemble an energy life form; it seems more like a projection from an Otherworld...’
Su Huan kept observing the Evil Anomaly’s reactions, but there was no change in its micro-expressions, including details like pupil contraction and hair movement, and there was no heartbeat or breathing. Although it’s an energy body, it’s completely different from a Pale Demon.
As he was pondering what this thing was, suddenly, he heard a gunshot by his ear. By the time he reacted, he was already holding an Iron Curtain assault rifle, its muzzle pointing under his chin, with his finger on the trigger.
With his information-gathering ability, the moment he saw the extra footprints on the ground, he instantly simulated the entire suicide process in his mind: walking over, picking up the rifle, inspecting the gun, chambering it, and then shooting himself!
The bullet twirled for a moment under his resilient chin, lost all its momentum, slid back into the barrel, and made a ding sound.
The Evil Anomaly had somehow already approached him, staring straight at him.
Su Huan’s pupils suddenly shrank.
When?!
When threatened, a creature’s instincts kick in, and the train conductor was no exception. Before the recently confused memories could flood his mind, a few grams of insignificant substance instinctively transformed into energy, igniting energy equivalent to tens of thousands of tons of explosives simultaneously, releasing more energy than the classic ’Little Boy’ instantaneously on the snowy plains.
To protect his body from harm, instincts activated his Domain and Energy Rule control at the same time.
The moment the luminescent white patterns lit up on his body, two half-white figures rushed out of his body frantically, not daring to utter a harsh word, disappearing like comets. Only the half of them intercepted by the belated Su Huan remained.
"My master won’t let you go!"
"Then let your master come find you in my belly!"
Looking at the roaring Vikaron in his hand, Su Huan snorted coldly and stuffed him back in.
After half a month of digestion, the pseudo-oath Miu’en had been completely digested by him, converted into Life Force, and most of Vikaron was also digested. The two who escaped were the pseudo-memory Recill and the pseudo-life Marcus.
Because Vikaron and the others could use weapons and their abilities were bizarre, Su Huan chose to grind them down first.
The remaining two will take time, but who would have thought that the dignified train conductor would flip his ship in the gutter and be frightened by a little ghost!
Thinking of this, Su Huan’s anger rose, glaring sinisterly at the center of the explosion, where the majority of the material, including the Iron Curtain assault rifle, was melted by the high temperature, leaving only Vikaron’s double-barreled shotgun and that Evil Anomaly standing there.
The former, after all, was Otherworld weaponry, and Su Huan had also tested the latter. Thermal energy had little effect on it.
The Evil Anomaly showed no awareness of the changes around, still staring straight at Su Huan with its bloodstained eyes, "Why..."
The train conductor’s eye corners were irritably raised, and with combat boots infused with Pan Energy, he kicked it away.
Su Huan realized this ghastly thing was using a Rule, which caught him off guard. Now that the Pale Demon inside him had fled, his control over Energy Rules returned, and he wouldn’t fall for it again.
After fiercely beating the Evil Anomaly for a long time, Su Huan found that no matter how much damage he inflicted with Pan Energy, the entity would absorb the "primitive Pan Energy" from the air to recover. Although the recovery was slow, theoretically, it seemed as indestructible as a cockroach.
This fundamentally differed from the Pale Demons outside.
Having no physical form didn’t matter; as long as it could be observed by him, it could be attacked by him, and if it could be attacked, it could generally be killed by him.
But the Evil Anomaly in front of him defied this Rule.
Su Huan squinted, could it be that the army is fighting these things inside?
Entities using Rules yet can’t be killed...Evil Anomaly?
"Why, why..."
The Evil Anomaly’s limbs twisted bizarrely and struggled madly, its mouth repeating the phrase like a stuck record.
Su Huan picked up the double-barreled shotgun from the ground, then infused it with Pan Energy. As expected, the runes on the shotgun flared up, and the barrel emitted scorching heat; with a boom, the Evil Anomaly was blasted into black smoke.
Hitting it wasn’t surprising; this shotgun was very peculiar, with a spell-breaking effect that could even hit him, let alone this relatively powerless Evil Anomaly.
Aside from the Rules, this Evil Anomaly was pathetically weak in other aspects, indistinguishable from an ordinary person.
Yet it possessed an undying nature.
