Arrival in an isekai

Chapter 183 Renner’s Freedom +18

Renner pulls back just enough to meet your gaze. Her blue eyes bright.

"The doppelganger," she says. "It should arrive at the castle tonight. Confused. Humble. The princess returned from a terrifying encounter, subdued into her usual harmless self."

You set Renner down gently on the throne room floor, her courtly dress settling around her ankles. The vast chamber stretches around you both, its dark stone pillars reaching upward into shadows where torchlight never quite reaches.

"The gate-mirror to your former room is still connected," you tell her. "You can give the doppelganger its daily instructions through that. Converse with it as often as you like."

Renner's blue eyes widen slightly. The implication settles across her face like sunlight breaking through storm clouds. She can still direct the performance from here, still puppet the harmless princess from a distance, still maintain the illusion of a subdued daughter returned to her chambers in tears.

"I understand," she says, her voice carrying that measured quality that hides so much. "The two give me reach without presence."

You turn to the three angels standing in formation behind you. Gabriel's six wings fold with deliberate grace, her silver eyes warm. Ikaros stands with her hands clasped before her, pink eyes watching you with that quiet devotion that never quite reaches expression on her face. Jibril's blue hair still streams from the wind of the descent, her wings half-spread in residual excitement, her lips curved with barely contained satisfaction.

"Were you satisfied with your performance?" you ask them.

Gabriel inclines her head. "The theological implications of a Chief Seraph descending alongside a mortal sovereign will reverberate through human religious institutions for decades. It was efficient."

"Efficient," Jibril repeats, her voice dripping with amusement. "I found it exhilarating. The look on that Marquise's face when he realized his entire political framework was irrelevant. The way the court wizards trembled when my wings caught the torchlight. Centuries, Blank. Centuries I have waited for an excuse to display Flugel capabilities publicly."

Ikaros says nothing. She simply watches you with those steady pink eyes.

You step to Gabriel first. Your hand cups her jaw gently and you press a soft kiss to her lips. She receives it with serene acceptance, her silver eyes closing for just a moment before opening again with quiet warmth.

Jibril does not wait for you to reach her. She closes the distance herself, her wings snapping wide with enthusiasm, and when your lips meet hers she responds with deep and eager hunger. Her tongue traces your lower lip. Her fingers grip your collar. You feel the centuries of restrained theatrical passion pouring through that single point of contact. When you pull back she is flushed, her breathing quickened, her blue eyes blazing with satisfaction.

"Thank you," she whispers. "For letting me fly."

You turn to Ikaros last. She has not moved from her position. Her expression remains that placid calm that masks whatever processes run beneath the surface of an angeloid's consciousness. You step close and tilt her chin up with one finger. Her pink eyes meet yours.

You kiss her. Soft. Brief. Just a gentle press of lips against hers.

Ikaros freezes. Her wings twitch once. A tiny sound escapes her throat, something between surprise and acknowledgment. When you pull back her cheeks hold the faintest trace of color, and her fingers have curled into fists at her sides.

"Thank you for performing with me," you say to all three of them.

Gabriel smiles. Jibril preens. Ikaros simply nods, though her pink eyes track your movements with heightened attention.

You return your attention to Renner, who has been watching the entire exchange with analytical interest. Her princess mask has slipped slightly, revealing the sharp curiosity beneath.

"Renner," you say, letting amusement color your voice. "Your father ordered you to go to your room. I believe you should listen to your father and do exactly that."

Her eyes narrow. Recognition flickers.

"I'll be there to celebrate your new freedom right after I mass-resurrect today's Elven Graveyard," you continue. "Jibril. The location, please."

Jibril's wings snap shut with crisp efficiency. "The eastern burial grounds. Ferindal's team has prepared approximately four hundred and twelve graves for today's session. The site is approximately three hours' flight from Nazarick's surface entrance, though a Gate would reduce that to moments."

Renner's lips part. She looks toward the Dungeon Passageway that leads to Carne Manor, her room, then back at you. Something passes across her face that might be anticipation.

"I'll be waiting," she says, and turns on her heel with the practiced grace of a princess who has spent twenty years performing obedience.

After watching Renner disappear through the Dungeon passageway, You open a Gate to the eastern burial grounds. Ferindal's team has everything prepared. Four hundred and twelve graves. The elven archivist stands at the entrance with his documentation scrolls, flanked by Therindor's security detail.

You raise both hands. Mass Resurrection pours from you in a wave of golden light that washes across the graveyard like dawn breaking over frozen earth. Bodies reform. Breath returns. Four hundred and twelve elves gasp simultaneously, their eyes opening to a world that moved on without them. Ferindal's assistants move immediately, blankets and water and gentle words in ancient elven dialects. Therindor barks orders about perimeter security.

The entire process takes less than fifteen minutes from arrival to departure. You nod to Ferindal, who is already cataloging names, and open a Gate directly to the Carne Manor hallway outside Renner's room.

The door is ajar. Golden light spills from within, warm against the corridor's stone.

You push it open.

Renner and her doppelganger lie together on the bed, both completely naked, their identical golden hair spread across the pillows in mirror images. They have positioned themselves deliberately. Renner reclines against the headboard with one leg drawn up, her blue and gold eyes fixed on you with predatory anticipation. The doppelganger mirrors her pose at the foot of the bed, though its expression carries that slight vacancy, that programmed cheerfulness that makes it dimmer than the original.

"You took your time," Renner says. Her voice carries that measured quality that hides so much, but her flushed skin betrays her. She has been waiting. Planning.

The doppelganger tilts its head. "Welcome back, Master," it says in Renner's voice, pitched slightly sweeter.

You store your clothes with a thought. They vanish into your inventory. Renner's eyes track downward, her lips parting. The doppelganger shifts on the bed, spreading its legs in invitation that the still-virgin Renner would never perform so openly.

You climb onto the mattress and position yourself between the doppelganger's thighs. It gasps as you slide into it in one smooth thrust, its programmed responses generating a convincing moan. Its inner walls grip you with artificial tightness calibrated for pleasure.

Your left hand finds Renner's hip. You pull her closer until her thigh presses against your side. Your right hand slides between her legs, fingers finding her already wet, already swollen from whatever they were doing before you arrived. She inhales sharply through her nose.

You kiss her. She responds with fierce hunger, her tongue pushing against yours, her hand gripping your wrist to guide your fingers deeper. You match the rhythm of your thrusts into the doppelganger with the curl of your fingers inside her, synchronized pressure that makes her breath catch against your mouth.

The doppelganger writhes beneath you, its moans escalating in pitch. Renner watches it over your shoulder, her blue eyes blazing with something between voyeuristic fascination and vindictive satisfaction. Watching herself be taken. Watching a copy perform the vulnerability first.

"Harder," Renner whispers against your lips. "Make her scream."

You oblige. Your hips drive forward with increased force. The doppelganger's back arches off the bed, its identical golden hair splaying wildly. Your fingers curl inside Renner at the same tempo, pressing against the spot that makes her thighs tremble.

Renner's hand tightens on your wrist. Her breathing fragments. The doppelganger climaxes first, its programmed responses triggering a full-body shudder and a cry that echoes Renner's own voice back at her. Renner follows seconds later, her walls clenching around your fingers, her teeth biting your lower lip to muffle the sound she refuses to let escape freely.

You do not stop. Your thrusts continue into the trembling doppelganger while your fingers work Renner through her aftershocks, drawing out every tremor until her hand falls away from your wrist and her head drops back against the headboard.

Your hips maintain their steady rhythm into the doppelganger while your attention focuses entirely on the woman beside you. Renner lies against the pillows, her golden hair fanned across white linen, her body still trembling from the aftershocks of her first climax. You trace your free hand along her jaw, tilting her face toward yours.

"How did it feel?" you ask, your lips brushing her ear. "Correcting your father so directly."

Renner's breath catches as your fingers curl inside her again, matching the pace of your thrusts. Her blue eyes find yours, bright with something that might be triumph or might be grief, and she cannot quite tell which herself.

"Like cutting a rope I did not know was around my neck," she says. Her voice is steady despite the way her thighs press together around your hand. "Years I performed the harmless princess. Years I watched him make decisions that weakened the kingdom while believing himself noble. And today I told him the truth in front of every noble who ever dismissed me as decoration."

You kiss her throat. Your tongue traces the pulse point where her heartbeat races. The doppelganger moans beneath you, its programmed responses escalating as your pace increases, but the sound barely registers compared to Renner's quiet confession.

"Raeven's face," she continues, a smile curling her lips. "He sent the emissary with words instead of slaves. Three days he wasted composing diplomatic language for someone who captured an eight-hundred-year-old tyrant. The arrogance of it. The sheer stupidity."

Your thumb finds her clit and presses. She gasps, her hand gripping your shoulder.

"How does it feel to be free?" you murmur against her skin.

Renner goes still for a moment. Her blue and gold eyes stare at the ceiling, unfocused, processing something she has never allowed herself to articulate.

"Terrifying," she admits. The word comes out raw, stripped of her usual analytical coating. "I have never been without a mask. I have never said what I actually thought to another person without calculating what they could do for me. And you just took me through the ceiling and laughed."

Your lips find hers. She kisses you back with desperate hunger, her tongue pushing against yours, her hand sliding into your hair. The doppelganger writhes beneath you, its moans reaching a crescendo as your thrusts grow harder.

"You did not ask me to perform," Renner whispers between kisses. "You asked me what I thought and then you let me say it."

Your hand squeezes her breast, thumb rolling across her nipple while your fingers work inside her. She arches into your touch, her composure fracturing beautifully. The doppelganger climaxes beneath you with a sharp cry, its walls clenching around your shaft, and you follow seconds later, burying yourself deep and releasing inside the trembling copy.

Renner watches it happen. Watches her own face contort in pleasure she has not yet allowed herself to experience directly. Her walls clench around your fingers as she climaxes again, triggered by the sight and the pressure and the overwhelming reality that she never has to perform again.

"Freedom," she breathes, her body shaking. "This is what it feels like to not pretend."

You withdraw from the doppelganger slowly, leaving it panting and flushed on the sheets. Your fingers slide free of Renner and you bring them to your lips, tasting her. She watches you with those mismatched eyes, something vulnerable and fierce warring behind them.

"The doppelganger deploys tonight," she says, her analytical mind already reasserting itself through the haze of pleasure. "It will arrive confused and tearful. Father will believe I was humbled by the encounter. The court will pity the princess who was taken and returned diminished."

She pauses.

"And I will never have to see any of them again."

You lean down and press your lips to Renner's slowly, deliberately, letting the kiss linger until her breath steadies and her eyes refocus on yours. She tastes faintly of salt and satisfaction. When you pull back her expression carries something raw and unguarded, a vulnerability she has not yet learned to hide.

Prestidigitation flows from your fingertips in twin streams of pale blue light, washing across both your bodies and the doppelganger's in gentle waves. Sweat, fluids, the evidence of the last two hours vanishes as though it never existed. The sheets crisp and freshen beneath them. Renner shivers at the tingling sensation across her skin.

"Take your time before joining everyone in the main hall," you tell her. "They will likely be surprised to hear you have chosen to be with them full-time."

Renner's lips curve. Not her princess smile. Something genuine. "Full-time," she repeats, testing the weight of the words. "I have never belonged anywhere that was not a stage."

The doppelganger sits up on the bed, naked and cleaned, its programmed cheerfulness already shifting toward the confused and tearful persona it will adopt for deployment. It looks at Renner for final instructions.

"You know what to do," Renner says to it without looking. "Confused. Frightened. The princess who was taken by something beyond comprehension and returned disappointed."

The doppelganger nods.

You dress with a thought, your clothes materializing from your inventory in their usual configuration. Renner watches you from the pillows, her golden hair spread around her like a halo, her body bare and unashamed in a way she never permitted herself in the castle.

You step out of the room and pull the door shut behind you. The corridor stretches in both directions, warm light from enchanted fixtures casting soft shadows across the stone. The sounds of the manor filter through. Laughter from somewhere below. The clatter of dishes being cleared by unseen servants.

You descend the main staircase toward the great hall. The Heroes Feast table stretches long and laden as always, steam rising from platters of roasted meat and fresh bread and fruits that should not exist in winter. Several figures are already seated.

Kallen occupies her usual spot near the head of the table, red hair loose around her shoulders, a half-eaten apple in one hand. She looks up as you enter and her green eyes narrow with immediate suspicion.

"You have that look," she says flatly. "The one where something happened and you are going to act like it did not."

Beside her, Fiona sits with perfect posture, silver-white hair pinned back, ice-blue eyes tracking your movement with operative precision. She says nothing but her gaze flickers toward the staircase behind you.

Charlotte and Olivia are seated together further down the table, Charlotte in a sporty sweat suit with erotic trim a book open beside her plate, Olivia leaning forward with elbows on the table and a bread roll in her mouth. Charlotte's blue eyes rise to meet yours over the rim of her teacup.

"Lord Blank," Charlotte says, her French accent clipped. "You have been absent for several hours. The school session concluded without incident, if you were wondering."

Olivia swallows her bread. "Leinas ran us through footwork drills until my legs hurt. Charlotte beat me at the parrying exercise twice though, so that was annoying."

Charlotte's composure flickers with the faintest hint of pride.

Kallen sets down her apple. "So. Where were you? And why do you give the impression of ozone static?"
