Ascension Of The Blood Supreme
Chapter 219. Uproar through Endra
The news about Aiden Vhorn becoming the disciple of Excellency Armstrong Lee took Endra by storm.
Because of the details of Aiden Vhorn’s achievements attached to the announcement, many who did not know about him discovered who he was.
His feats left them baffled.
Those from the Northern, the Eastern, and Western Continents in particular did not know much about him prior to the announcement.
Aiden Vhorn had shaken the Southern Continent after the Zone Zero incident and disappeared after all. Some in the Southern Continent presumed him dead at the time.
Others were skeptical about his survival even if he were alive. After all, he was on the bad side of four admirals of the Eldorath Empire. He was also on the bad side of the Cyrenthia Empire. And there were hegemon industries in the Eldorath Empire that wanted him gone. To them at the time, even if he were to return alive to the Eldorath Empire, his fate was sealed.
But Aiden Vhorn had shocked them.
They were wrong.
He had gone MIA intentionally, adopted a new identity on the Kahra Desert, earned himself the name the Lodgekeeper through terrifying feats over there, crossed the southern sea to the Western Continent, and became the disciple of a legendary Rank 4 warrior—someone currently ranked number three on the Tyrant Fate rankings, the third strongest man on Endra.
Many sighed. Aiden Vhorn had outplayed his enemies. He had the highest level of political immunity at the moment.
Now, targeting him openly was out of the question.
His enemies could only resort to covert methods like ambushes and assassinations. As for giving up on killing him, his enemies wouldn’t. They would be paranoid. If he was allowed to grow any stronger, there wouldn’t be any repercussions to his actions when he decides to get rid of them in the future, because of the backing of his master, Armstrong Lee.
But would they succeed? Aiden Vhorn had proven time and time again that he was very difficult to kill. The fact that he had managed to outmaneuver large assassination networks and bounty hunters that were hired to get rid of him, and get to his current level, proved that he was not only a monstrous combatant. He was a terrifying schemer who understood how to play power games.
How could a 20-year-old young man be so terrifying?
Not only those from the Southern Continent were having these thoughts.
Several from the other continents, who had come to discover much about Aiden Vhorn, harbored similar thoughts.
This young man—it was only a matter of time before he appeared on the Tyrant Fate rankings.
The whole world was watching.
Would Aiden Vhorn carve a legendary future for himself? Or would his enemies get rid of him?
****
Southern Continent.
Eldorath Empire.
Frontlines.
Bang!!
Vanum Deepsea slammed his fists on the table.
How the hell did this happen?
Aiden Vhorn had played them and outmaneuvered them again.
"Relax. Just because we can’t openly attack him doesn’t mean the Order can’t covertly get rid of him," Leonis said.
"Right now, the matter is out of our hands. He is no longer in the Southern Continent, so there’s not much we can do," Leonis said. "Since he’s in the Western Continent, the high ups will most likely let the high-ranking members of the Order there will handle him. We’ve done what we can. But I have to admit. This Aiden Vhorn has really outplayed us."
"Indeed he has."
"No wonder the Analyser said he’s a catastrophic threat."
"Sigh..." the three other admirals of HQ Base C322 sighed.
Deepsea also calmed down.
There was nothing they could do at this point.
Just like Leonis had said, the matter was currently out of their hands. Aiden Vhorn had strong political immunity, and the situation had shifted.
Only the high-ranking members of the Order in the Western Continent could pull strings to deal with him.
They could monopolize the Order Assassin Network to get rid of him covertly.
There was no way Aiden Vhorn could survive.
****
Western Continent.
Somewhere in the distant regions of the Western Ocean.
Deep beneath the sea.
A large submarine floated in the depths of the sea.
Several large creatures hovered around the large submarine.
However, something repelled them away from the large submarine.
In the submarine, in a conference room.
Several individuals were seated across a round table.
A man was seated at the head of the table.
If anyone saw him, they would be extremely shocked.
This man was the second-ranked person on the Heavenly Tyrant Rankings.
The second strongest person on Endra.
Edwin Marr.
One of the leading members of the International Union.
Adjacent to him was a woman.
If anyone saw her here, they would be shocked too.
Excellency Edrisa Van.
Wife of Edwin Marr.
Known as the strongest person on Endra.
No one in the room was shocked to see her, or the man at the head of the table.
The two people seated adjacent to each other were the founders of the Paranormal Liberation Order.
The most shocking thing in the room was, the hundreds of people gathered in the room were all legendary Rank 4 warriors.
And two of those gathered in the room were known as the strongest people in the International Union.
As for the rest of the people in the room, they had hidden themselves from the world. They were unknown individuals. No one had even heard of them before.
There were hundreds of them. Legendary Rank 4 warriors. The International Union had only a hundred legendary Rank 4 warriors, including the two leaders of the Paranormal Liberation Order seated in the room. But the Paranormal Liberation Order had more legendary Rank 4 warriors than the assumed number of registered legendary Rank 4 warriors on Endra.
This was extremely terrifying.
"Everyone, welcome," Edwin Marr said.
"We greet the founder." Everyone, including Edrisa, his wife, stood up and bowed to him.
It was obvious that he was the strongest person in the room. Contrary to what was known to Endra, Edrisa Van was not the strongest legendary Rank 4 warrior; it was her husband, who was posing as someone weaker than her in the International Union.
"You may all sit," Edwin said.
Everyone sat down.
"Analyser, are the results of your computation concerning Vhorn the same?" he asked.
A woman in a veil replied, "Yes, founder. It’s still the same. He has to be eliminated."
"Alright. It seems Vanum Deepsea and Leonis failed. We should let the high-ranking members in the Western Continent pull strings to handle him," Edrisa said.
"I agree."
"That is the best course of action."
"Indeed."
"The Order assassins have all been fed detonative implants. Even if they fail, no one can get any information out of them or interrogate them. They will die the moment they try to talk."
"We should do that."
Murmurs of agreement spread through the room.
"Then it’s settled," Edwin said. "Let’s proceed as such."
"The salvation of Endra relies on us. The world is full of so much evil and suffering. We need to put everyone to sleep. If no one exists, there won’t be any suffering. Aiden Vhorn cannot stand in the way of that. He has to be eliminated. For the Order, and for humanity," Edwin Marr said.
"For the Order, and for humanity!"
"For the Order, and for humanity!"
Edwin Marr raised his hand slightly.
Everyone ceased the chant.
"Meeting adjourned."
Everyone bowed and left, leaving the couple to themselves.
Edrisa caressed Edwin’s hands.
Edwin turned to look at her.
"Sometimes, I honestly feel burdened by the sacrifices we have to make to save our world," he said. "But when I remember how we lost our daughters to the cruelty of the world, it reinforces my belief in our plan to save the world. Suffering can only end when no one exists, including ourselves."
"Indeed, dear. It’s not an easy burden we carry," Edrisa said. "But we don’t have a choice. We need to keep going. Even if the world calls the Order lunatics, I don’t care. We are doing this for the world. We want to leave behind a world of peace and no suffering, a world devoid of our presence and that of everyone, a world devoid of violence. Only by doing this will we stop the suffering across the world."
She added, "No one belonging to the Order was forced to join our mission. We only approached them and gave them purpose when they had none. When they had lost everyone they held dear, just like we did, we gave them purpose. We opened their eyes to the truth, to what can be done to bring salvation to the world. This is the only way forward."
The couple hugged each other and kissed, completely convinced that ending civilization was the way to save Endra.
