Chapter 337: Wave!
"Who is the leader of Wellerman?" Sengoku asked after he finished reading all the reports.
"We still don’t know about him. All we know is that his command is absolute within the Wellerman. And everyone in the company is willing to die even if someone bad-mouths him." Reported the vice admiral who was in charge of the mission.
The three Admirals also read the report and put it down.
Akainu looked serious and said, "Since they don’t mind doing business with pirates, they should die too for justice."
"And how will you kill them?" Aokiji asked while narrowing his eyes.
Akainu suddenly turned silent. So was everyone. The question was the real trouble for them.
How will they kill immortal beings?
They could at most imprison them, but the problem was, there were at least 5 beings on par with the Admiral’s strength. And that too on the surface. They had no idea if they were hiding more such people.
And what’s more, they even had no idea who was the leader of such monsters.
It reminded them of the past. One that most forgot. But Sengoku and his group still remember them and that crew freshly.
Sengoku and Garp looked at each other. Both could notice the same worry in each other’s eyes.
’Rocks’
.......
The Whitebeard crew suddenly became very active. Unlike their previous way of moving, they started to madly attack other pirates and started to loot.
The New World suddenly became very chaotic. No one knew why. And their frequent business with Wellerman was becoming very well-known to the world.
Some even said that Whitebeard’s sudden activity was because of Wellerman.
So when the Marines learned about it and, after a little investigation, they learned the real reason.
Wellerman had a cure that could heal Whitebeard.
When Sengoku learned about it, he instantly got angry and ordered: "Do whatever it takes and buy the item from Wellerman before Whitebeard and his crew can."
Their sudden action and rapid movement started a rumour that was too unreal. But if that was true, then it was too good for anyone.
But no one wanted to take risks. They would find out once they had enough money.
The rumour was "Wellerman has something that can grant one Immortality."
Since they couldn’t fight with Wellerman and snatch the item, they could at least compete with other pirates.
Who doesn’t want to live eternally? And since there was an example in front of them, like immortal beings in Wellerman, more and more people started to believe that.
Old pirates, Old kings were even more excited and wanted that item at any cost.
The whole world suddenly was so chaotic that even the Marine and WG felt frustrated by how the situation was getting out of control.
As for Tesla, when he heard those rumours, he was speechless. If he had such an item, then wouldn’t he have already used it on his family and friends?
He could live longer, and so could his family, but they weren’t immortal. They couldn’t live eternally.
...
Robin was sailing on a pirate ship when she heard those rumours. Even she was speechless by the rumours. If Tesla could have done that, then he would have been a god already.
Just as she was getting speechless by the rumours, she saw another ship was sailing towards the ship she was currently on.
There was no pirate flag on the ship. And since she was on a pirate ship, merchant ships would avoid them.
And since it wasn’t a Marine warship either, then it could have been one of the two. Either it was a bounty hunter’s ship or some morons who were sailing towards them without knowing what was good for them.
Robin continued to sit in one corner and observe like a side character.
Until now, she only fought with her brother. Even though she was sailing outside, she avoided getting unwanted attention on her.
Her goal and dream were to search for the history of the world. She wasn’t out at sea to become pirate king or for justice, nor was she for looting, killing, or fighting.
But that doesn’t mean she was afraid. Truth to be told, no one at Grandline could threaten her. With her strength, she should be in the New World.
As the ship got closer, she found out who the sailors were. And she was right; they were bounty hunters.
And without any drama, the scene unfolded how it always does.
The two parties fought. Alas! The crew she was riding with didn’t have what it took to sail at Grandline.
’Sigh! I didn’t want to get involved. But it seems I have no other choice.’
Just when most pirates died and the bounty hunters were getting closer, Robin stood up and softly said, "Slow Wave"
As she said that, a purple ring formed around her and it quickly spread out like a wave. Even though the name was Slow Wave, it wasn’t Slow at all.
The ring passed everyone like invisible air. But before anyone could understand anything, they felt their movement slowing down. And in just a millisecond, it was so slow, it was like someone pressed a pause button.
Robin looked at all of these, and she moved from the ship towards a small boat on the side of the ship.
As everyone was standing still and Robin was the only person moving, she was instantly noticed by everyone, be it friends or foes.
The pirates wanted to ask for help, but they too couldn’t move.
Robin finally got on the boat and looked at the crew she was sailing with one last time and then got her boat down.
