Since he still had some time, Ryan decided to visit the auction house before returning to his accommodation.

According to the information he had gathered from the market, Myrioge had several auction houses, but the most famous one was the Silvermoon Auction House. It regularly sold rare dungeon materials, valuable equipment, and other items that were difficult to find in ordinary shops.

Ryan wasn’t particularly interested in buying equipment. His current gear was already good enough, and most ordinary items wouldn’t be useful to him.

However, he was interested in rare materials and special items that could help him improve his abilities or strengthen his summons.

After walking for another ten minutes, he arrived at the Silvermoon Auction House.

The building was considerably larger than the Greenheart Alchemy Workshop. Its entrance was guarded by several heavily armed warriors, and a large silver sign bearing the auction house’s emblem hung above the doors.

Ryan approached the entrance.

A guard stepped forward and politely asked, "Sir, are you here to participate in the auction or consign an item for sale?"

"I’d like to see the items available for purchase."

"Certainly. Please show your identification card."

Ryan handed it over.

The guard scanned the card before returning it.

"Welcome to the Silvermoon Auction House. The next public auction will begin tomorrow afternoon. However, registered customers can visit our exhibition hall to view some of the items scheduled for upcoming auctions."

Ryan nodded.

"Is there an entrance fee?"

"No. You may enter freely, but certain restricted areas require a membership or special authorization."

"Understood."

The guard stepped aside, allowing Ryan to enter.

Inside, the auction house was much quieter than the market outside. Several staff members stood behind counters, assisting customers, while visitors walked through the spacious hall.

Ryan approached the reception desk and explained that he wanted to view the items available for the next auction.

After checking his identification card, the receptionist gave him a small catalog.

"This contains a selection of items scheduled for tomorrow’s auction. Some particularly valuable items aren’t included in the public catalog, but you can request further information if something interests you."

Ryan thanked her and began browsing the catalog.

Most of the items were ordinary equipment, monster cores, and materials collected from dungeons. There were also several potion recipes and rare medicinal ingredients.

He quickly passed over the equipment section.

However, he slowed down when he reached the pages dedicated to alchemy materials.

One particular entry caught his attention.

[Moonlight Spirit Flower]

Grade: Legendary

Description: A rare medicinal plant that absorbs moonlight and converts it into concentrated spiritual energy. It can be used in advanced potions and certain rituals involving the soul.

Starting Bid: 300,000 Tower Coins

Ryan studied the description.

Although he had never personally encountered the Moonlight Spirit Flower, the knowledge he had obtained from the Serendipity Witch Doctor allowed him to recognize its potential uses.

It was a valuable ingredient for potions that restored spiritual energy and improved the stability of certain soul-related preparations.

Some of those potions could even be used to help summoned spirits recover their energy after prolonged battles.

Ryan considered it for a moment.

His summons were already powerful, but having additional ways to support them would be useful.

He continued reading.

A few pages later, he found another interesting entry.

[Ancient Beast Blood Essence]

Grade: Ancient

Description: A concentrated essence extracted from the blood of an ancient magical beast. Its properties vary depending on the original creature. It may be used in alchemy, bloodline-related rituals, and the creation of special potions.

Starting Bid: 1,000,000 Tower Coins

Ryan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Ancient-grade materials were considerably rarer than Legendary-grade ones. Depending on their origin, they could be used to produce potions that were difficult or impossible to create with ordinary ingredients.

However, the description was too vague for him to determine whether this particular essence would be useful.

He would need to learn more about its source before deciding whether it was worth bidding on.

Ryan continued browsing the catalog, but most of the remaining items failed to interest him.

Just as he was about to close it, a notification appeared in his vision.

[Ancient Potion Maker instincts quivers]

It was an skill he got from the Witch doctor, it basically helps in identyfying suitable potion ingredients and to help him find them too.

Ryan paused.

He hadn’t expected the skill to react to the auction catalog.

He reopened the pages he had just examined and focused on the Moonlight Spirit Flower and Ancient Beast Blood Essence.

Another notification appeared.

[Moonlight Spirit Flower detected.]

[Potential Uses: Advanced Potion Brewing, Spirit Energy Recovery, Soul Rituals.]

[Ancient Beast Blood Essence detected.]

[Potential Uses: Bloodline Enhancement, Special Potion Brewing, Physical Constitution Enhancement.]

Ryan’s expression remained unchanged, but he was interested now.

The notifications didn’t necessarily mean he needed to buy these materials. However, they confirmed that both items had applications worth considering.

He had already obtained several rare materials from the Serendipity Spring of Elves, and he wanted to make better use of them before spending too much money.

Still, the Moonlight Spirit Flower seemed particularly useful.

If it could help him prepare potions for his summons, purchasing it might be worthwhile.

As for the Ancient Beast Blood Essence, he would need more information before making a decision.

Ryan closed the catalog and returned it to the receptionist.

"Can I ask about the Moonlight Spirit Flower listed in this catalog?"

"Certainly. What would you like to know?"

"Is there any information about its origin or the quantity being auctioned?"

The receptionist checked the records on her desk.

"The flower was obtained from a dungeon on the second floor. Only one is being auctioned, and our appraisers have confirmed that it remains in good condition. Its starting bid is three hundred thousand Tower Coins, but the final price will depend on the participants."

Ryan nodded.

"Thank you."

He didn’t ask any further questions.

There was no reason to reveal his interest before the auction began, especially when doing so wouldn’t give him any advantage.

He had more than enough money to participate, but he wasn’t planning to spend it carelessly.

After leaving the reception desk, Ryan walked around the exhibition hall for a little longer. He examined several other materials and memorized the prices of the ones that might be useful in the future.

By the time he left the auction house, the sun had begun to set.

Ryan looked toward the busy streets of Myrioge.

His first day in the city had been more productive than expected. He had obtained a Level 4 Potionist qualification, sold ten Ancient Bloodleaf leaves for eight hundred thousand Tower Coins, and discovered several rare materials that might be useful for his future plans.

He also had a better understanding of the local market.

Tomorrow’s auction was worth attending, particularly if the Moonlight Spirit Flower could help him prepare better potions for his summons.

However, he wasn’t going to spend the entire day chasing auction items.

He still had to examine the recipes he had obtained from the Serendipity Witch Doctor and determine which potions would be the most useful to prepare first.

Ryan stored the catalog’s information in his memory and headed toward his accommodation.

For now, he would rest and organize his plans.

There was no need to rush. Myrioge wasn’t going anywhere, and he had plenty of time to explore its opportunities.
