Awakening the Useless Class...But I am Secretly the Strongest!
Chapter 68: Dungeon V
The little spirit flew toward the stone platform and gently placed her hand on its surface.
A silver light spread across the platform, and the empty grooves began glowing one after another.
[Silverleaf Inheritance Platform Activated.]
[Searching for preserved inheritances...]
[Connection established with the Ancient Silver Spirit Tree.]
[Available Inheritances Detected.]
Ryan looked at the notifications as several lists appeared before him.
There were far more inheritances than he had expected.
Unlike the Forgotten Spirit Altar, which contained inheritances from various professions and combat styles, most of the inheritances here were related to spirits and spiritual energy.
Some were combat-related, while others focused on healing, spiritual cultivation, summoning, and the creation of spiritual equipment.
Ryan began examining them.

Ryan continued scrolling through the list.
There were several more inheritances, including formation techniques, spiritual weapon forging, spirit communication, and various elemental arts.
His eyes stopped at one particular inheritance.
"Ancient Spirit Summoner?"
He glanced at his own summons.
Although he already had several powerful summons, he was always interested in obtaining new methods to strengthen them.
However, another inheritance caught his attention.
[Spirit Alchemist]
Ryan’s expression changed slightly.
"Now this is interesting."
He already possessed Serendipity Alchemy, which increased the effectiveness and purity of the potions he created. He had also acquired the potion-making knowledge of the Serendipity Witch Doctor.
Obtaining another alchemy inheritance could further expand his knowledge.
He opened its detailed information.
[Spirit Alchemist]
[Rank: Unique]
[Type: Profession Inheritance]
[Description: An ancient alchemy inheritance developed by spiritual alchemists. It focuses on refining potions, medicines, and special consumables using spiritual plants, spirit cores, and various forms of spiritual energy.]
[Inheritance Contents:]

Spiritual Ingredient Identification
Spirit Core Refinement
Spiritual Potion Brewing
Soul Restoration Medicine
Spirit Enhancement Elixirs
Advanced Spiritual Refining Techniques
[Trial Requirement: Successfully refine a Spiritual Essence Potion using the materials provided by the inheritance.]
Ryan nodded.
This was another good one he would like to have.
He turned toward the little spirit.
"Can I select more than one inheritance?"
The little spirit shook her head.
"Not immediately. The platform can only establish one inheritance connection at a time. Once you complete the trial, you may select another."
Ryan considered her answer.
Ryan looked through the available inheritances once again.
The Ancient Spirit Summoner was certainly tempting. With his numerous summons, learning ancient summoning techniques could prove extremely useful.
However, his attention eventually returned to the Soul Weaver inheritance.
Among all the available options, it was the only one that seemed to contain knowledge he couldn’t easily obtain elsewhere.
Repairing damaged souls, manipulating spiritual threads, and creating spiritual constructs were all unusual abilities.
Ryan couldn’t help but feel curious.
"Hmm, I guess I’ll choose this one."
He selected the Soul Weaver inheritance.
[ Soul Weaver ]
[ Rank: Legendary ]
[ Type: Special Profession Inheritance ]
[Inheritance Selected.]
[Preparing Inheritance Trial...]
[Trial Requirement: Complete the assigned scenario and demonstrate sufficient understanding of Soul Weaving.]
The silver light surrounding the platform suddenly intensified.
Ryan barely had time to react before his surroundings disappeared.
When Ryan opened his eyes, he found himself inside a small cottage.
He was sitting at a wooden desk, with several books and sheets of paper scattered across it. A simple bed stood in one corner, while a small window allowed sunlight to enter the room.
Ryan looked around.
"Where am I?"
Before he could investigate further, a system notification appeared.
[Welcome to the Soul Binding Academy.]
[Your identity has been established.]
[Name: Mika]
[Age: 16]
[Occupation: First-Year Student]
[Academy: Soul Binding Academy]
[Status: Ordinary Student]
[Your current objective is to live as Mika, a first-year student of the Soul Binding Academy.]
[Learn the techniques of the ancient Soul Weavers and complete the assigned trials.]
[Warning: All abilities, skills, attributes, and equipment belonging to the original user have been sealed.]
[Available Ability: Perfect Loot (SSS)]
Ryan stared at the notification.
"...What the fuck is this scenario?"
He checked his status again, hoping there had been some mistake.
However, the result remained the same.
All his abilities and skills were unavailable.
Even his Death Blade Knight class and Legendary equipment were nowhere to be seen.
The only ability he could still access was Perfect Loot.
Ryan leaned back in his chair.
"Seriously? You took away everything except Perfect Loot?"
He wasn’t particularly worried about losing his equipment since this was only an inheritance trial. However, the sudden change was unexpected.
He tried opening his spatial storage.
Nothing happened.
He tried summoning his Spirit Wolf.
There was no response.
Ryan sighed.
"Well, I guess I’ll have to play along."
Another notification appeared.
[Scenario Information]
[You are currently living as Mika, a first-year student of the Ancient Soul Binding Academy.]
[Your identity, memories, and circumstances have been temporarily integrated into the scenario.]
[You must attend classes, learn the ancient techniques, and complete the challenges presented by the academy.]
[Failure to demonstrate sufficient understanding of Soul Weaving will result in inheritance rejection.]
[Warning: The inheritance trial will simulate the life of the original student. Your decisions and actions will influence the outcome.]
Ryan read through the information carefully.
"So I’m supposed to live someone else’s life?"
He glanced at the books scattered across his desk.
One of them had a title written on its cover.
Introduction to Soul Binding — First-Year Textbook.
Ryan picked it up and opened the first page.
There were several unfamiliar terms and diagrams describing spiritual threads, soul connections, and the structure of spiritual energy.
He skimmed through a few pages before closing the book.
"At least I can understand the language."
Just then, a notification appeared.
[Today’s Schedule]
08:00 — Basic Soul Theory
10:00 — Spiritual Thread Identification
13:00 — Practical Soul Binding
15:00 — First-Year Assessment
Ryan looked toward the window.
The sunlight suggested that it was still early morning.
He stood up and examined his new surroundings.
There was a simple student uniform hanging beside the wardrobe, along with a small bag containing a few personal belongings.
Ryan changed into the uniform and picked up the textbook.
"Alright, Mika. Let’s see what kind of life you’ve been living."
He opened the cottage door and stepped outside.
A small academy town stretched before him. Several students wearing similar uniforms were walking along the stone pathways, heading toward a large building in the distance.
Ryan followed them.
He had no idea how long this trial would last, but if the system wanted him to learn Soul Weaving by living as an ordinary student, he would have to take it seriously.
After all, he hadn’t chosen this inheritance just to give up halfway through.
