Baby with Daoist Monarch System
Chapter 1107 - 502: Death!
Chapter 502
No farewell, no superfluous words. His silhouette, like a wisp of uncatchable blue smoke, vanished instantly from the original spot, speeding toward the direction of the "Ten Thousand Dao Tomb".
His speed surpassed light, surpassing the concept of time and space. He was not flying, but constantly "defining" his next coordinate point, then directly "appearing" there in a moment when nothing could react.
Thunder Lord and Wen Xi could only see a faint black shadow, like a scar tearing through eternity, rapidly departing on the grand and boundless Blood-crying Ancient Wall.
"Madman! He really went! He’s really mad!" Thunder Lord roared, yet there was a trace in his voice, unknowingly to himself, of... hope.
Wen Xi said nothing, just quietly watched the direction where that black shadow disappeared, and only after a long while did she softly sigh.
"Fire... what you delivered, is it ultimately a ’powerful potion’ capable of turning the tide, or a cup of ’poisoned wine’ that will completely doom everyone?"
...
The Sea of Realms Dam, boundless and endless.
It does not exist in any universe but stretches across the final boundary of "existence" and "non-existence". Every segment of the barrier is more magnificent than a great universe, and every scar engraved upon it represents the fall of an unmatched powerhouse.
Dao Ruins sped along.
As he delved deeper into the dam, he could feel the subtle changes occurring in his surroundings.
The air began to fill with a scent of "end". It was not the void of Gui Xu, but a kind of desolation where everything had come to an end, like an exhausted lamp.
He passed by one segment of barrier after another.
He saw, in front of some barriers, giant figures as majestic as mountains, devoid of life, yet remaining in a guarding posture, their bodies forming the barriers themselves.
He saw, on some barriers, a rusted battle spear embedded within, with its tip still emitting unyielding battle energy, nailing a force trying to seep in with the Power of Ruins firmly in place, unmoved for billions of years.
He saw, beneath some barriers, an illusory sea of flowers swaying, transformed from the Dao of a certain Empress, opposing eternal void with an unending dream.
Among these Guardians, some still lived, while others had long perished.
The living, upon sensing the forbidden aura of Dao Ruins, awakened from slumber with shock, vigilance, and even hostile gazes.
While those who had died, the Heroic Spirits left with only an indestructible obsession, emitted low resonance as Dao Ruins passed—
Because, upon Dao Ruins, there was the aura of "Gui Xu" they were most familiar with and most resentful of.
Yet at the same time, within the core of the Gui Xu aura, there lay a "Guardian" will of the same source as theirs!
This contradictory combination stirred those Heroic Spirits, dormant through the ages, into agitation and confusion.
Dao Ruins disregarded all this.
In his eyes, neither the living nor the dead existed.
In his "Dao Ruins Eye", the entire Sea of Realms Dam was a colossal "lifeform" being slowly eroded by a "concept virus".
Those Guardians, alive or dead, were "immune cells" on this lifeform, desperately fighting against the virus.
And he, Dao Ruins, was both the virus and... the antibody.
As he proceeded, the "Dao Ruins" aura on him became increasingly refined and deep. The Power of Ruins within him underwent a marvelous "refinement" with the gold and ash hues of his Dao Heart origin.
He felt himself rapidly "growing".
Gui Xu was the ultimate "answer".
And he was becoming the one who could write the "answer".
Finally, he halted his steps.
Before him lay the sixteen thousand two hundredth segment of barrier.
But here, there was no longer any "barrier".
What appeared before him was an enormous "void" so vast it defied description, like a terrifying black hole of the universe!
This void emitted no suction; it simply existed there quietly, like a forcibly gouged-out part of the cosmic painting.
Its edges were not smooth but were overgrown with countless hideous, twisted "proliferations" that looked both crystalline and tumor-like.
These "proliferations" bore a bizarre, multi-hued "ashen" hue.
Dao Ruins could "see" within that ashen hue, countless shattered Dao Laws were sealed! There were sword chants, zither notes, dragon roars, phoenix cries... those were myriad different Daos emitting their final lament after being polluted by "Gui Xu"!
This is the "Ten Thousand Dao Tomb"!
And in the center of this gigantic tomb, within the deepest part of the void, a "monster" lay curled up, as if in slumber.
It had no fixed form.
At times, it would transform into a deity towering to the skies, with "void’s" black blood flowing upon it.
At times, it would become a World Tree rooted in "nothingness", each leaf representing a Dao swallowed and twisted.
At times, it would disassemble into billions of faces marked by pain, despair, and greed, emitting a silent screech.
This was the Ruins Spirit that fed on the myriad Daos!
As Dao Ruins arrived, the "Ruins Spirit" seemed to awaken from a nightmare spanning endless eons.
