Back to the 1980s: Becoming the Villain's Lucky Wife
Chapter 660 - 690: Shen Feng Has Been Caught
It started to snow.
White snowflakes covered the withered, bleak yellow of autumn, leaving a world draped in silver.
Shen Yi went door to door like a madman, searching for eyewitnesses. He had them describe the vehicle, a pen in his hand, sketching as they spoke.
"It was a silver van, pretty old."
"Two men got out and grabbed the pregnant woman and the little girl. One of them was really tall and had a beard."
"One guy was really skinny, looked like a strong gust of wind could blow him away."
"I think they were holding fruit knives."
"The van seemed to head northwest."
Sitting in the police station, Shen Yi used the physical descriptions provided by the witnesses to complete two portrait sketches. An officer took one look and froze. "This looks like the three robbers we’ve been hunting!"
Just then, another officer ran in. "We’ve caught Shen Feng!"
After Shen Feng’s side had hung up the phone, Shen Yi had immediately reported the latest developments to the police. The officers acted with incredible speed, taking Shen Zhengfeng’s entire family into custody.
Then, they caught Shen Feng at the station.
Shen Yi shot to his feet and went to find Shen Feng, while the other officers went to apprehend the men from his sketches.
Shen Feng sat there in handcuffs, readily confessing to what had happened.
But he insisted it wasn’t a kidnapping.
"Qin Jiao and I are classmates, and we’re also relatives. I just wanted to talk to her. Her family didn’t know, so it caused a misunderstanding. It really wasn’t a kidnapping."
The officer asked, "Then where is Qin Jiao?"
Shen Feng paused, then said, "Our talk didn’t go well. She left."
"Where did she go?"
"...I don’t know."
The police pulled out the address Shen Feng had provided for where he’d held them—a place in the northwestern suburbs. By now, the snow outside was falling harder and harder, making it difficult to dispatch officers.
But they feared Qin Jiao might have already been harmed, so they immediately organized a team to go.
Shen Yi, Qin Zhonghui, and Sun Jianhua naturally went with them, while the rest of the family stayed home to wait for news.
Before leaving, Shen Yi stared at Shen Feng with icy eyes. "You’d better pray that Jiao Jiao is okay!"
’Otherwise... Shen Feng, I’ll drag you down to the underworld to apologize to Jiao Jiao myself!’
Faced with Shen Yi’s cold gaze, Shen Feng remained silent.
Of course, he didn’t want anything to happen to Qin Jiao either, but he truly didn’t know where she had gone.
The snow today was particularly heavy. Before long, there were hardly any pedestrians on the streets. It was snowing so hard that it became difficult for cars to drive deeper into the area.
The car carrying their group broke down and came to a stop on the side of the road. They were still a good distance from their destination—over half an hour by car. On foot, it would likely take even longer.
Shen Yi threw open the car door, intending to go on foot. Sun Jianhua immediately said to Qin Zhonghui, "Zhonghui, you wait here. The storm is bad. I’ll go with Shen Yi to find them!"
Qin Zhonghui shook his head. "No, I have to find Xiao Jiao and Xiao Shi!"
His two girls were his life. That damn Shen Feng had actually dared to kidnap his Xiao Jiao and Xiao Shi. For the first time, Qin Zhonghui, an honest man, was filled with a murderous rage.
And so, leaving someone to watch the car, the rest of them got out and decided to proceed on foot.
Shen Yi knew that Qin Jiao would definitely enter her space when faced with danger. This also matched what Shen Feng had said about not being able to find her.
But what if something unexpected had happened?
His heart was pounding in his chest!
Trudging through the snow, one deep step after another, Shen Yi headed toward the scene of the incident.
