Gong Ruini lies on the bed, pretending not to hear Zhao Xuran’s apologies beside her.

But she truly doesn’t want to speak, if possible, she really doesn’t want to see Zhao Xuran.

She perfectly remembers her excitement upon finding out she was pregnant with twins, sweetly talking about the worries they would encounter later.

Gong Ruini doesn’t want to recall how silly she might have looked in Zhao Xuran’s eyes back then.

Perhaps while she was experiencing all kinds of happiness, Zhao Xuran was thinking what a fool she was.

The more Gong Ruini thinks about it, the more annoyed she gets; it’s truly embarrassing.

Zhan Jing watches Zhao Xuran keep saying sorry while crying, and Gong Ruini remains unresponsive, sighing lightly.

Right now, she feels like she shouldn’t be there, she should give them both some time and space.

Also, judging by how Gong Ruini looks, maybe she desperately needs to vent, like having a good cry.

"Although crying won’t solve anything, it’ll be better if Ni Zi cries." Before leaving the room, Zhan Jing lightly taps Zhao Xuran’s shoulder.

Let Ni Zi cry? Can she cry with her current condition? Zhao Xuran is dumbfounded; he knows Ni Zi’s health isn’t very strong, she should be resting now, how can he let her experience emotional upheaval?

"Ni Zi shouldn’t have big mood swings, but do you think it’s good for her not to cry at this moment?" Bottling everything up inside leads to the worst outcomes.

Many mothers don’t vent properly during pregnancy, and after the child is born, emotions aren’t adjusted accordingly, leading to breakdowns when facing new challenges.

Though Gong Ruini has good psychological resilience, there’s no denying she’s still a child, panicking when faced with such issues.

Of course, Zhao Xuran knows it’s not good to let Gong Ruini suppress it all, but seeing his wife cry, he cannot bear it.

"Really, is it okay?" Zhao Xuran hesitated and softly asked.

"It’s okay, don’t worry."

"But you do need to be cautious."

Zhan Jing is worried Zhao Xuran won’t manage well, feeling an urge to stay.

But upon thinking, she holds back; would Ni Zi cry if she stays?

She definitely won’t cry, plus she needs to have faith in Zhao Xuran.

Zhan Jing walked out, and Gong Ruzhi, who initially insisted on staying, was also dragged away by Zhao Guangran.

No matter how much he disagreed with Zhao Xuran before, Zhao Guangran decisively stood by Zhao Xuran during external challenges.

Gong Ruzhi didn’t want to leave, but his combat power wasn’t enough, making Gong Ruzhi quite frustrated.

Even though Zhao Guangran had become quite a chubby guy, how come he was still so hard to deal with?

The more Gong Ruzhi thought about it, the angrier he became, resolving to reclaim his dignity later, or else...

Zhao Guangran was unaware of Gong Ruzhi’s plans to get fit and seek revenge.

"Alright, knock it off." After kicking Gong Ruzhi a few times, Zhao Guangran was completely displeased.

After reaching the sofa, he was utterly unreserved.

Hmph, reprimanding him? Not even considering who’s actually in the wrong here, Gong Ruzhi coldly snorted.

Zhao Guangran ignored the sulking boy; once Gong Ruini recovered, dealing with Gong Ruzhi would be easy.

Zhao Xuran watched Zhao Guangran and the others leave, then suddenly hugged Gong Ruini, "Ni Zi, I know you can actually hear me."

"I know I’m a jerk, I should have told you sooner."

"But honestly, I didn’t know what to do." Zhao Xuran himself didn’t notice his voice trembling as he spoke.

"It still feels like a dream; when I heard the doctor tell me you have two babies, I was really excited."

"When I was a child, I felt quite lonely, no one to play with, even though Guangran and Ban Xia came later, they’re different, they’re my younger brothers."

"Being the elder brother means I truly can’t cry."

"When I heard Ni Zi, you were pregnant, I really should have held back, not cry, then it would have been more memorable."

Thinking of the previously taken photos, Zhao Xuran slightly regrets how come he didn’t capture them beautifully.

Swallowing back the tears, Gong Ruini wants to curse, did he really not cry?

Well, someone just won’t admit it, no matter what the inside sources say, simply doesn’t show up, or else would definitely get scolded by the authority.

"Why are you unwilling to talk to me?" Gong Ruini didn’t expect Zhao Xuran to be even more worried than she was, in ways unknown to her.

"How, how could I tell you?" Gong Ruini’s sudden voice, even if raspy, was the most treasured gift to Zhao Xuran.

"You’d be sad, making the situation worse." Zhao Xuran held Gong Ruini tight, expressing his worries.

"More than the babies, I care about you, I really don’t want you to hurt your body for an unborn child." Zhao Xuran can’t imagine if something happened to Ni Zi, how’d he cope?

"You really can’t have anything happen to you, or I’ll go crazy." Given Ni Zi’s current situation hasn’t hit bottom yet, Zhao Xuran feels immense pressure.

"I originally didn’t want my mom visiting; might give you stress." Zhao Xuran cradled Gong Ruini while rambling on why Zhan Jing came to the United States.

Gong Ruini isn’t concerned about all that, her focus is, "Did my parents know already?"

She was astonished they, the junior ones worried, but why did they have to let the parents know?

Gong Ruini really can’t fathom how shocked Gong Tao and the others must feel right now, they might be variously anxious in Beijing.

Seeing his wife’s worried expression, Zhao Xuran nodded lightly, "Yes, they all know."

"Rest assured, I had Rui Wen keep an eye on things." Such important matters, could become a major ticking bomb for anyone.

With her brother’s supervision over her parents, Gong Ruini breathed a sigh of relief, yet felt a tinge of disappointment.

Knowing how their daughter’s doing, how come they didn’t come to the US to visit their daughter?

Despite encouraging messages and calls, through the phone lines and warm letters, knowing her situation, cheering her across distances.

Maybe from others’ perspectives, this seems normal.

But Gong Ruini sincerely hopes her parents and brother won’t miss the moments of her life, attending the whole journey, offering their most heartfelt blessings.

"It’s not that they don’t want to come, they’re worried you’d overthink it." Seeing Gong Ruini’s expression less bright than before, Zhao Xuran gently sighed.

Gong Ruini accepted this, though comprehending her parents refraining due to her concerns, still felt uneasy, as if abandoned somehow.
