Zhan Jing stared at the large package in her hands, bewildered for a moment.

Could it be that they’ve brought back quite a lot of stuff from the United States again?

Haven’t I told him that we, the elderly, don’t need those things from the United States? So why do they insist on buying so much?

However, weighing it, it’s not too heavy. What could it be?

Zhan Jing was puzzled, so she returned to the house and opened the box to take a look.

"Wow, photos of Pingping and An An."

With Zhan Jing’s exclamation, everyone rushed over.

"Finally, they’re here."

"They said they wanted to take beautiful photos of Pingping, but honestly, the kids are so cute, they’re adorable in anything."

"So adorable." One by one, they picked up the photos and couldn’t stop looking, feeling that their own children were especially cute at first glance.

"Red lips and white teeth."

"An An has gained some weight."

"And not to mention, these clothes look really nice on Pingping and An An."

"Yes, being good-looking also requires good clothes to match." Zhan Jing held onto the photos, truly reluctant to let go.

"Huh, why are there photos of foreign kids here?" Wan Qiweng came late, and the photos on top had already been taken away, so she casually picked up the ones still in the box, and was shocked upon seeing them.

Photos of foreigners? How could there be photos of foreign children? Everyone was surprised, could they be someone’s children?

Everyone looked towards Zhan Jing and her husband, thinking if anyone here could possibly have a foreign grandchild, it might only be Zhao Guangran.

"Impossible." Zhan Jing said it was impossible, but recalling what Zhao Xuran had said before, she felt a bit unsure.

"Here’s a letter." Wan Qiweng then noticed a letter, picked it up, and laughed after a glance.

"It’s really considerate of those kids to think of this." After quickly reading the letter, Wan Qiweng handed it to Zhan Jing, who was eagerly looking over.

Zhan Jing quickly scanned the letter, then let out a long breath. Although those two kids were quite cute, like little dolls,

Zhan Jing wasn’t too fond of having blond, blue-eyed grandchildren. She really couldn’t bring herself to like it, and now she knew what was going on with these two kids.

"They really are cute, and those clothes do look nice on them."

"Yes, anyone who sees them would be drawn to these two kids."

"Otherwise, how would they have been chosen as models?"

"But such pretty clothes would tempt any grandparent."

"Yes, but it’s a pity they can’t see our Pingping and An An’s photos. Last time Old Li bragged about how cute his grandkids were, huh, could they compare to Pingping?" Zhan Jing remembered a time when she was annoyed at a birthday party.

It’s normal to praise one’s own grandkids, but to put down Pingping by asking why there were no photos after the first month, suggesting it was because of something wrong with the children.

Zhan Jing knew what those people were thinking, they just wanted her to show Pingping’s photos.

Hmph, in such a situation, why would she be foolish enough to show the photos? She’s not that na?ve.

Once the photos are shared, soon her grandkids’ photos would be everywhere, and there would be no privacy until the issue with those people is resolved.

"Ignore them, Old Li’s grandson’s eyes aren’t as expressive as Pingping’s. Just look at Pingping’s gaze." Zhao Gang didn’t care what those people said.

"You always worry about what they say, that’s how you get caught in their trap." Gong Tao had heard such gossip countless times, "They can say what they want. Does our Pingping need their comments?"

"Exactly, exactly." Zhao Gang agreed eagerly, "Xuran always says this kid is particularly observant, I’d really like to see him sooner." There was a short time after the child was born, but what would a newborn know?

Zhao Gang wants to fly to the United States to see his grandchild, but thinking about his work, he holds back. To have the grandkids back for New Year’s, he can’t slack off now,

"I really don’t know how An An is doing, seeing him with Pingping, he’s obviously smaller." Gong Tao looked at An An, who was not very big, and felt uneasy.

Though Pingping is the eldest grandson, because An An wasn’t well when Renee was pregnant with him, the family’s attention focused more on An An.

"An An will definitely be a beauty in the future, she’s such a smiley girl." Wan Qiweng actually really liked daughters, but unfortunately her health suffered some damage when she had her youngest son.

Though after a few years of recuperating, it wouldn’t be impossible to have another child, but by then she was nearing forty, and Wan Qiweng didn’t have the heart to have another.

As for An An, even though she hasn’t seen her, she liked her the very first time she saw An An’s photo.

"Of course, she inherited her parents’ best traits." Zhan Jing really liked her granddaughter, "Xuran said they’ve already bought a diamond, and when An An gets married, it’ll be part of her dowry."

Dowry? How old are the kids that they’re already thinking this far ahead? Gong Ruwen and Chu Ling had just entered the house, excited to see Pingping’s photos, only to hear this news.

"Buying a diamond is a good idea, especially a big one. These things just keep getting more expensive." Wan Qiweng didn’t know much about diamonds, but jewelry generally shared common traits.

"These can be used as dowry for the kids or as a bride price. Next time we go to the United States, we’ll buy them too." Wan Qiweng had long considered supplementing other aspects since they couldn’t pass the business to Wan Yihui.

Buying real estate isn’t a bad idea, but buying overseas requires paying taxes, and the appreciation isn’t very high.

At this time, collecting diamonds or antiques, or famous artworks, is a good choice.

"Spending all the money on real estate is too conspicuous."

"Yes, in the domestic market, the rise in real estate prices is fast, but it can easily be tracked."

"Abroad, even after you buy property, you have to pay taxes, which is a bit frustrating, and the prices don’t rise quickly."

"Antiques are good for building family heritage and good for passing on to the next generation."

"Yes, yes, that’s the plan. We’ll buy abroad instead of in the country." Even if it’s overseas, it’s not like those people could reach that far.

Most importantly, the money is abroad, while money is really tight domestically, always requiring bank loans.

"We originally thought about having Guangran funnel some money back, but it’s unnecessary now." Large sums entering the country can’t avoid drawing attention.

When people investigate, and if they notice activity in Japan, the backlash would be unpleasant. So, it’s better to slowly utilize bank loans.

As for overseas money, it can either be reinvested or used to collect antiques or valuable items.
