"How can he be so annoying,"

Gong Ruini complained angrily, sitting in Gong Jiaxin’s studio, drinking coffee and eating cake.

Gong Jiaxin was puzzled how Gong Ruini burst in, poured herself a cup of coffee, and unceremoniously started eating the pastries she had bought to enjoy for her afternoon tea.

Well, fine, let her eat. She needed to go on a diet anyway. But please, Ni Zi, could you explain what’s going on?

"Who’s annoying you, a classmate?" Gong Jiaxin thought for a while. Recently, Gong Ruzhi had been pretty well-behaved, and as for Wan Yihui, well, nothing new there.

That kid was quick in picking up photography skills, taking the camera Gong Ruini gave him on weekends, and capturing lots of beautiful pictures.

Right, Wan Yihui was pretty good at photography; she could ask him for help in the future.

Gong Jiaxin happily decided on this. The best candidate would actually be Zhao Xuran, who had helped Pingping and the others take some exceptionally moving photos last time.

But where would Gong Jiaxin dare to ask this big shot for help, knowing he was extremely busy.

The key issue was, if this guy wasn’t happy, even his gaze could be chilly, and that was something she truly couldn’t handle.

"Ah, is it Zhao Xuran?" After spacing out for a while, Gong Jiaxin was glad she didn’t miss the crucial part.

"How could it be?"

"How could he upset you?"

Anyone who wasn’t blind could see how much Zhao Xuran adored this girl, treating her as if she were a delicate treasure.

Gong Jiaxin’s first reaction was that Gong Ruini was just acting up, "So, what’s going on?"

Hmph, see, as soon as she mentioned Zhao Xuran, the first reaction was disbelief, as if her dear cousin didn’t have as much credibility as Zhao Xuran.

"I thought I was just unlucky with boys in high school, but I found out it was all his fault."

"He actually directed Zhao Guangran to block my admirers."

"Ahh, I’ve never received a love letter in my life." Gong Ruini, once an unnoticeable girl due to a lack of confidence, had never been the center of attraction, and naturally, no boys liked her back then.

When she got to university, she became more outgoing, but unfortunately, she also grew stronger, and what man would fancy a strong woman?

Even if there was someone, they’d create some coincidental opportunity, and once she started working, there were direct dinner proposals, not even a hint of a love letter.

This made Gong Ruini truly lament never having received a love letter.

"Ah, why would you need love letters?" Gong Jiaxin really didn’t understand why Ni Zi was making such a fuss over not receiving love letters.

She always thought it was because Zhao Xuran was too controlling, making Gong Ruini dissatisfied, only to find out it was for such a comedic reason, really leaving her speechless.

"Why not want love letters? When I’m old, sitting in a rocking chair, I can tell my children that in my youth, I was quite the catch, with countless admirers chasing me."

"I could say the love letters I received could fill a sack."

"I could claim to be a little fairy loved by all."

Pfft, Gong Jiaxin really couldn’t hold it back anymore. She could only laugh and wonder if Ni Zi was being serious or just showing off her silly side.

She couldn’t imagine filming this moment for Pingping and the others to see, wondering what they’d think, whether they’d find their mom not just childish but capable of competing with them.

"You really think you’re three years old?" Gong Jiaxin said, as she laughed, "And when you’re old, claiming you’ve received loads of love letters, would anyone doubt it?"

Certainly, they wouldn’t dare doubt it, lest they face strict lessons from Zhao Xuran.

"Plus, you could always claim your brother-in-law endured countless hardships to outshine all your suitors." After all, no matter how exaggerated the story, no one would question it.

Realistically, no one would be so blind, "But isn’t there still Guangran?"

"If I did that, he’d expose me, and say I never received a single love letter. What then?"

Oh dear, Gong Jiaxin understood now. It wasn’t that she hadn’t thought of it, but she worried someone might betray her.

"By then, Guangran wouldn’t be so childish, right?" They were all adults now; how could anyone still be so immature?

Whether Zhao Guangran would be childish, Gong Ruini didn’t know. What she contemplated was, "Sigh, actually what I wanted to say is I’ve never received a love letter in my life."

"Sis, have you ever received a love letter?" Gong Ruini widened her eyes, looking at Gong Jiaxin with great interest.

Love letters, "Of course." Even though she thought of saying "no," honesty is a virtue.

"Jia Ming must have received some, right?" Gong Jiaxin pondered, "Whether he received any while studying in Beijing, I’m not sure, but back home, he was truly quite popular."

On this, Gong Ruini was very certain. A young man with money and generosity, how could there be no one chasing him?

Even if the little girls didn’t understand, their parents would encourage their daughters in one way or another.

"My brother received some too, let alone Guangran, even with Cao Na, people still had thoughts of making a move." This had led to Gong Ruini often playing the peacemaker back then.

"As for Xuran, there’s no need to mention; even in college, people pursued him." For this reason, she never joined the student union during college.

Although Gong Ruini never wanted to join the student union just for experience, the fact that she didn’t want to enter and was outright rejected, are indeed two completely different matters.

"Xiao Zhi and the twins are also pretty popular."

"Even Xiao Hui was incredibly popular at school," With good athletic skills, excellent grades, and good looks coupled with a good family background, even in changing times, how could Wan Yihui not be popular? If so-called campus heartthrobs were still in vogue, he’d definitely be a candidate.

Of course, this campus heartthrob preferred not women, and Gong Ruini genuinely sympathized with the girls infatuated with Wan Yihui, who were heartbroken beneath his sporty demeanor.

Moreover, recently, her younger brother had become so engrossed in computers that he started to look unkempt. Although under her supervision, he didn’t look too dreadful when going out, he no longer had the fresh young look, and as for being a muscular guy during leisurely times, his lack of exercise led to a small belly, completely unappealing to the young girls.

Gong Ruini decided she needed to properly monitor Gong Ruzhi to prevent him from regretting missed social opportunities, no female admiration, during his school days. Such a life would truly be terrifyingly mundane.

"It’s okay; it’s just a love letter. You must know that many women are envious of you. So what if they have mountains of love letters, their men are not Zhao Xuran."

"Okay, that’s something I am really proud of." Gong Ruini perked up a bit, but despite that, not receiving a love letter really felt like a failure.

What’s most frustrating is that her thoughts, no one would agree with, instead they’d just think she was being sentimental.

Oh well, she was a bit sentimental. Now that she had vented, Gong Ruini felt much better.

"I’m going back." After being away from her kids for a while, Gong Ruini realized she actually missed her own child.

Having a love letter can’t compare to the serenity of holding her baby with its sweet scent.
