Chapter 2118: Chapter 2120: Qi Family’s Eldest Grandson

Time flies like an arrow, with rapid economic development, compared to thirty years ago, Huaxia Country has become a great nation that cannot be underestimated, with reforms everywhere, and people’s lives are much better.

In Huangtian Village, Flower County, today the villagers have gathered at the Qi family to help out. From afar, the two-story villa is seen with white mourning banners fluttering at the entrance, and everywhere there’s white, with the faint sound of gongs and crying.

The Qi family has been holding mourning ceremonies these past few days because Old Madam Qi passed away. She was 85 years old, considered a ripe old age, making it a happy funeral.

The Qi family, you could say, is the top family in the village, not for anything else but because they have power, influence, and status. Holding the funeral in their ancestral village follows the tradition of the elderly returning to their roots.

But as the family head’s official rank rises and his wife’s business flourishes, many high-ranking officials and businessmen come to pay their respects, as evidenced by the numerous luxury cars parked at the village entrance.

So it can be said that Old Madam Qi’s funeral is grand.

"A few years ago when Old Man Qi passed away, it was also an impressive funeral at an old age, and now it’s the same for Old Lady Qi. The couple truly has good fortune. Not to mention they’ve cultivated successful children, who have spread their wings and transformed into golden phoenixes, bringing prestige to themselves. Who in this village can compare to them?" At the entrance of the Qi family, many benches are set up, along with peanuts and melon seeds, as villagers chat and gossip. Naturally, the focus of the conversation is the family holding the mourning ceremonies.

"Exactly, wasn’t Old Man Qi 84 or something when he passed?" someone commented.

"I’ve forgotten," another replied. "But speaking of fortune, Old Lady Qi actually has more than Old Man Qi did. Although she was senile in her later years, at least she didn’t suffer from other ailments, unlike Old Man Qi, who was often out of breath and struggling."

"Indeed, as people get older, they become like children. Old Lady Qi’s good fortune is evident when she forgets things, so what? The Qi family has plenty of money to hire several maids for care, everything arranged perfectly."

"Old Man Qi wasn’t bad either. Although he ailment, when he passed, he did so peacefully!"

"Precisely, precisely!"

Someone else joined the conversation circle, continuing to discuss the Qi family members.

"Many children, a big family, all successful too, either in officialdom or business. At first, the youngest daughter Fengping really had bad luck, experiencing that incident. But then, what happened? She still went to college, and now she’s a successful lawyer, wow."

"So, this is all the Qi family’s fortune. It makes you wonder how they can raise their children so well."

"Marrying the right wife, bringing prosperity to the family and husband, haha."

As everyone was talking, they suddenly heard the sound of a car engine approaching. Looking up, they saw a black, formidable Land Rover SUV driving over.

"Who might this be?"

The car stopped, and someone dressed in all black got out wearing black trousers and a black shirt, with sleeves rolled up to the elbows. He had a tall and slender build, naturally suited for clothes.

His face revealed thick, heroic brows, with distinct angular features, handsome and robust.

He draped a black suit jacket over one arm and held a cell phone in his hand, conversing confidently with someone.

"Brother, you’re finally back." Someone emerged from the Qi family house. It was Qi Yan, Qi Jianguo’s youngest son, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the man.

Only then did everyone realize that this was Qi Jianguo’s eldest grandson, Qi Fang.
