Back to the 80s: Raising my Wolfy Boyfriend
Chapter 1102: Young Ninth Master, Don’t!
Han Yong’an knew Gu Jin’s cultivation was unfathomable, especially after seeing the calm and leisurely expression on the other’s face, which was nothing like someone confronting danger, and a sudden fury rose within him.
Thus, he immediately gave the order for assassination.
In a deathmatch, there’s no need for excessive words or maneuvering. Han Yong’an simply wanted to kill Gu Jin.
This person was the greatest variable in all his plans along the way.
She must not be spared!
As soon as Han Yong’an gave the order, the attendants behind him immediately flew towards Gu Jin.
Wanqi Yanghong and Wanqi Jingyi immediately assumed defensive stances, preparing for battle.
Then, in the next instant, an unexpected turn of events occurred.
Those uniformed attendants suddenly went limp and fell to the ground in a strange and rather embarrassing manner.
This scene was witnessed by everyone around.
Han Yong’an’s expression first showed astonishment, then he became furious.
"What’s going on with you?!"
Wanqi Yanghong and his son both let out a sigh of relief.
Gu Jin’s expression remained unchanged, her gaze lightly sweeping over the attendants collapsed on the ground.
She raised her eyes and stared at Han Yong’an’s panicked expression, laughing, "Your Majesty, since I dared to come today, I have prepared thoroughly. Did you think these attendants with low cultivation could take my life?"
Han Yong’an, humiliated and furious, his eyes erupted with intense killing intent as he sprang up from his seat, slapping his hand hard on the table.
"No!!!" Wanqi Yanghong’s voice trembled with fear.
"Bang!"
As his hand hit the table, it made a deafening sound.
In the small meeting room, golden light appeared, quickly covering the area like an invisible cage.
The moment Han Yong’an slapped his hand on the table, Wanqi Yanghong tightly guarded Gu Jin behind him, his face looking extremely grim, with twisted hatred overflowing.
Others didn’t know, but he was aware that there was an array set up in this meeting room.
It had just never been activated for decades, so much so that he almost forgot about it.
Several beams of golden light flashed from the rooftop, heading straight for Gu Jin, Wanqi Yanghong, Wanqi Jingyi, the secretary, and the assistant.
The golden light consciously surrounded the five of them, forming an invisible cage of a few square meters, imprisoning them inside.
Seeing this, Han Yong’an showed a look of everything being under control, his face looking considerably better, his eyes brimming with surprise and wanton arrogance.
"The Sect Leader of Xuanji Sect is nothing more after all, still trapped by my invisible cage!"
He walked step by step towards the five people, his words full of disdain.
Gu Jin did not even cast a glance at him, seemingly bothered to deal with the other’s arrogant and vile manner.
Her eyes swept towards the golden light beside her, they seemed to flicker consciously, releasing powerful spiritual energy that was intimidating.
Wondering if it was an illusion, she felt a sense of familiarity from this invisible golden light.
In the depths of her mind, there was a realization that it seemed like it wouldn’t harm her.
Gu Jin slowly reached out her hand, attempting to touch the flickering golden light infused with spiritual energy.
"Little Ninth Lord, don’t!"
Wanqi Yanghong reached out, pulling her arm to stop her from touching the array.
With his action, Gu Jin’s outstretched hand paused.
Han Yong’an, who had walked up to them, coldly snorted, "If you don’t mind losing a pair of hands, you can give it a try!"
The words were harsh and filled with a sense of superiority.
Gu Jin withdrew her hand, standing within the cage made of golden light, her gaze calmly meeting Han Yong’an’s eyes.
The other seemed to have everything under control, completely absent of the former panic.
He raised his chin at Gu Jin, pointing at the attendants collapsed on the ground, asking coldly, "What’s the matter with them? When did you tamper with them?"
PS: I deeply apologize for the repeated wait for updates, my mindset hasn’t been right in the past couple of months, and updates have been unstable. There’s a lot of the plot in this book that’s still unwritten, and the emotional depth between the male and female leads hasn’t been further developed.
As for updates, there is currently no guarantee, if possible, wait a little longer, the author will adjust the mindset as quickly as possible, at the latest by half a month, during which some updates will be sporadically made.
