Back to the 80s: Raising my Wolfy Boyfriend
Chapter 1176: He Is Already Dead
Ling Qiong smiled at Gu Jin, exuding elegance and nobility, demonic yet enchanting, perfectly befitting the phrase "untouched by the mortal world."
The next second, he gently raised his hand, the sleeve of his red robe waved toward Gu Jin.
In the blink of an eye, Gu Jin vanished into the Space Stream Water.
At the moment she disappeared, Ling Qiong instantly moved to stand before An Mingji, whose eyes were tightly shut.
His foot lightly touched the surface of the stream, the Divine Soul untainted by a single drop.
Ling Qiong looked down at An Mingji, his exquisite demonic face expressionless, eyes calm and indifferent.
He slowly leaned forward, closer to An Mingji, extending a pale slender hand, gently pinching An Mingji’s chin.
Then, he laughed aloud, his voice carrying an indescribable complexity: "Kid, you really are lucky."
Ling Qiong sighed, exerting more force on An Mingji’s chin.
Sensing the fluctuation of the space Barrier, Ling Qiong returned instantly to his previous position where he conversed with Gu Jin.
There was not a trace of difference, as if he had never approached An Mingji.
Gu Jin soon reappeared in the space, and the first thing she did was lock her gaze onto An Mingji.
Seeing him in the same stance as before she left, she let out a slight sigh of relief.
However, this was not enough to completely ease her mind.
Gu Jin, holding a wooden comb, stepped into the water again, coming to An Mingji’s side.
Perhaps it was a trick of her senses, but she noticed An Mingji’s chin seemed somewhat red.
It seemed that earlier, Xiao An’s chin had no such redness.
Gu Jin frowned, her eyes showing a hint of contemplation.
"Are you ready? Once I finish combing, I’ll tell you how to save him."
Ling Qiong’s melodious voice disrupted Gu Jin’s thoughts.
Hearing him mention saving Xiao An, Gu Jin immediately cast aside her earlier concerns, stood up, and walked towards Ling Qiong standing by the water’s edge.
Ling Qiong sat on a stone by the water’s bank, his posture elegant.
Gu Jin stood behind him, using a wooden comb to gently brush his dense black hair.
From an angle Gu Jin couldn’t see, Ling Qiong’s brow subtly furrowed, a faint loneliness flashing across his face.
He recalled some distant memories when someone once combed his hair so gently and meticulously.
Those memories were so distant, they had started to blur.
The look of desolation on Ling Qiong’s face was heart-wrenching, yet unseen by anyone.
Gu Jin smoothed out his hair, holding it in her hand, and only then remembered she hadn’t brought a hair tie.
Just as she was in a quandary, Ling Qiong’s hand extended, offering her a red hair ribbon.
His voice gentle, "Use this."
Gu Jin took the ribbon and used it to tie up his fine, yet plentiful hair.
Having completed this, she walked up to Ling Qiong, staring at the enchanting, untouchable man before her, she got right to the point: "How do I save Xiao An?"
Ling Qiong gently stroked his neatly tied hair, raised his eyes revealing a gaze laced with laughter.
"He’s already dead."
He repeated what he said before.
Gu Jin’s delicate visage turned visibly gloomy: "Are you playing me?!"
"I’m stating the truth." Ling Qiong’s tone was calm.
In the next moment, Gu Jin raised her hand, Wind Blade gathered and attacked Ling Qiong.
With danger imminent, Ling Qiong vanished from his original spot.
His speed was beyond description.
Ling Qiong stood behind Gu Jin, his voice helpless and sighed: "You really shouldn’t have such a temper; I wasn’t finished speaking, why suddenly strike?"
