Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1021
Baili Xia dared not approach, instead, she backed up towards the car door.
She glanced again at the open door behind Mu Xiaojiu, and suddenly, her heart skipped a beat, and she turned to open the door.
Ye Hua had unlocked the door, and since his side could be opened, naturally, so could hers.
As expected, after unlocking it, she easily opened the car door.
But that was all Baili Xia managed; she didn’t even take a step outside before suddenly feeling her body lighten, already lifted into an embrace.
Mu Xiaojiu picked her up from behind, bent over to exit the car, stretched his long legs, and firmly stood on the ground with her in his arms.
“What are you doing? Let me go! Put me down!”
Baili Xia was frightened, forcefully pushing against his chest, but she couldn’t budge him an inch.
Mu Xiaojiu paid no attention to her and walked toward the dock with her in his arms, accompanied by Ye Hua.
There weren’t many people on the dock, sparsely stationed there, clearly waiting for them.
“Mr. Xiaojiu.” As soon as Mu Xiaojiu arrived, the two men leading the group greeted him respectfully.
Mu Xiaojiu didn’t speak.
Ye Hua stared at one of them, “Where’s the boat?”
“It’s ready,” the man immediately replied, looking at Mu Xiaojiu and Ye Hua, “Please follow me.”
Mu Xiaojiu immediately strode forward with long steps toward the cruise ship.
Baili Xia grew even more panicked as if sensing that once she boarded, she would never be able to leave.
She grabbed Mu Xiaojiu’s shirt, tugging hard, “Put me down! Where exactly do you want to take me? What exactly do you want to do?”
Mu Xiaojiu remained silent, continuing to carry her forward.
Unable to bear it any longer, Baili Xia swung her fist toward his neck.
“Let go of me!
Put me down!
Let go!
Mu Xiaojiu!”
The three words “Mu Xiaojiu” made his muscles tense subtly.
But his expression remained unchanged, as he continued to carry her forward with determined steps.
If she was brave enough, she could try slapping his face a few times.
After all, his hands were occupied holding her; he had no free hand to stop her.
But Baili Xia truly didn’t dare; how could she hit Uncle’s face?
She just couldn’t.
She didn’t know why she was so cowardly, but she really didn’t dare.
Still pushing hard to no avail, she was carried onto the cruise ship like that.
She could only watch, eyes wide open, as the ship left the harbor and sailed slowly into the depths of the sea.
It wasn’t until they were far enough from the port that Mu Xiaojiu finally put Baili Xia down.
As soon as she steadied herself, she immediately retreated from his embrace and ran to the railing.
Gripping the railing, she gazed at the boundless sea outside, feeling so heartbroken she nearly choked up with tears.
What in the world did he want to do?
What was he trying to convey?
Not saying a word, leaving her to guess – it exhausted and panicked her.
Even if he truly wanted to deal with her, even if he truly intended to harm the baby in her belly, couldn’t he just speak clearly?
Why this silent torment?
This kind of torment was driving her insane.
But Mu Xiaojiu simply glanced at her, then turned and walked into the ship’s cabin.
Ye Hua didn’t leave; he stood not far behind Baili Xia.
With Mr.
Xiaojiu gone, the task of watching over Miss Xiaxia naturally fell to him.
He wasn’t naive enough to think that Mr.
Xiaojiu’s departure meant ignoring Miss Xiaxia.
If he really didn’t care about her, why bring her aboard the ship?
Having been by his side for so long, if he couldn’t even guess at some of Mr.
Xiaojiu’s thoughts, he wouldn’t be qualified to stay.
