Uncle had found her a family tutor…

Baili Xia thought Nangong Xu was just speaking casually, Uncle was so busy, he surely wouldn’t really pay attention to such things.

But unexpectedly, he really did take notice.

He not only had the tutor come directly here but even arranged a new set of textbooks for her.

At the beginning of November, with just over two months left until the end of the term.

Yet she had fallen far behind in her courses because she always skipped class.

Now, she could finally catch up quickly.

It was said that when the tutors arrived, they were brought to the island in sealed vehicles right after disembarking.

This showed Uncle’s island was strictly protected and not just anyone could barge in at will.

But after she arrived, it seemed no one ever stopped her from going anywhere.

She could go wherever she wanted without anyone caring.

In such a strictly guarded place, she could run around freely…

She didn’t want to delve too deeply into the implications of that, continuing would only make her more agitated.

For a man who was utterly unreadable, the best approach was not to try to read him.

Thinking too much was exhausting for the heart.

She spent the whole morning studying, and because she learned exceptionally fast, she finished in one morning what others took several days to cover.

So in the afternoon, the tutor specially allowed her to rest.

After lunch, under Nangong Xu’s supervision, Baili Xia took a satisfying nap.

When she woke up, it was already past four in the afternoon.

Her body was really feeling heavier recently, she was barely over one month pregnant yet felt like she was five or six months in.

She slept so heavily that if Nangong Xu hadn’t called for her, she wouldn’t have woken up on her own.

Feeling like this at just over a month, she wondered how she would cope as the months progressed, she was just so tired.

A little past four, Mu Xiaoyao returned from somewhere, drenched in sweat.

Knowing Baili Xia was waiting for him, he quickly took a brisk shower, changed into a set of casual athletic wear, and went out with her.

This time, Nangong Xu followed behind them.

He always felt that the color of her face was a little off, could it be that aside from the pregnancy, there was some illness?

If Baili Xia weren’t pregnant, with that complexion, he could assert she had pent-up frustration.

In plain terms, it was blood deficiency, and perhaps there were other symptoms.

Having her checked would be best, but unfortunately, the girl was now especially resistant to being examined.

However, since she was pregnant, a lot of things he didn’t quite understand.

Involving obstetrics and gynecology, he truly was an outsider.

Thus, not even Nangong Xu could guarantee that he wasn’t misreading her complexion.

After all, he hadn’t studied what a pregnant woman’s complexion should look like.

The only thing he could do was to be more attentive to her diet and nourish her body.

“Master, let’s cook for ourselves tonight.”

Baili Xia, walking ahead with Mu Xiaoyao, was carrying a vegetable basket.

Approaching a patch of rape plants, she turned back to look at Nangong Xu, “How about this rape?”

“It’s fine,” Nangong Xu responded indifferently, his face still lacking any expression.

Baili Xia couldn’t help but pout a little, “Master, can’t your face show a little more emotion?”

What did “It’s fine” mean?

If it were anyone else using that phrase, it would sound grudging.

But she knew, when Master said it was fine, it meant fine, without any sense of reluctance.

She smiled, “Master, shall we go get some sea urchins later? I feel like having sea urchin fried rice tonight.”
