Wen Yu elegantly ate her meal, picking some dishes Mu Xiaojiu loved and placing them into his bowl while eating.

“Eat slowly, don’t rush.”

After eating for a while, Mu Xiaojiu was no longer so hungry and finally started to chew slowly.

Seeing Mu Xiaojiu slow down, Wen Yu asked.

“What do you think about what your brother said?”

Mu Xiaojiu’s chopsticks paused, and he lifted his head to meet Wen Yu’s eyes: “Did he ask you to persuade me?”

“No, I wanted to ask you myself,” Wen Yu shook her head as she explained.

“You have to know how deep our hatred for Baili Yang is, you cannot forget years of hatred because of a woman.”

“Moreover, this woman is Baili Yang’s granddaughter.”

Mu Xiaojiu did not respond, bowing his head and continuing to eat.

Seeing that Mu Xiaojiu showed no sign of disgust, Wen Yu continued, “If you let her stay with you, she will definitely hinder our plans in the future.”

“Moreover, she will also become a target and get hurt.”

“It’s best if you leave her, or really let your brother handle it.”

Mu Xiaojiu’s hand paused again, his face expressionless.

He simply said indifferently, “I know what to do, you don’t need to worry about this matter.”

“It’s good if you know. Baili Yang not only killed your father, but he also caused your brother’s legs to be broken, and he has to use a wheelchair for life; his body is also…”

Reaching this point, Wen Yu’s eyes became somewhat moist, and she hurriedly turned her face to one side.

After a moment to compose herself, with emotions a bit more stable, she continued.

“If it wasn’t for his strong will, he might not have been able to make it back alive.”

“We’ve been patient for so many years, and our plan has been going very smoothly, don’t let a mistake ruin it now. Otherwise,” Wen Yu paused briefly, looking at Mu Xiaojiu before continuing.

“Otherwise, your brother would never let her off.”

With a snap, Mu Xiaojiu placed his chopsticks heavily on the table.

His fingers were clenched tight, his face still without any expression, but those deep, dark eyes were radiating an extremely chilling light.

“I said I know how to handle it; Mrs. Wen, please don’t threaten me with this matter anymore.”

After finishing his words, he stood up and left the dining room.

The voice wasn’t loud, even quite faint, but it was exactly this kind of faintness that chilled one to the core.

Lowering her head again, Wen Yu realized that even the pair of chopsticks on the table had been snapped in half by him.

Had Baili Xia truly become his untouchable bottom line?

In so many years, Jiu had never spoken to her with such a stern tone.

Wen Yu’s face became a few shades paler in an instant.

The child had grown up, gained his own prowess, and thus began to have his own ideas.

She didn’t want to confine him, but she knew that if this continued, the conflict between him and his brother would surely grow.

Perhaps Jiu wasn’t wrong, all this had nothing to do with Baili Xia, and they shouldn’t make her bear it.

Yet regrettably, she was Baili Yang’s granddaughter.

Watching Mu Xiaojiu’s resolute back as he left, Wen Yu’s mood once again plummeted.

Mu Xuri was not someone who gave up easily, Jiu knew that.

If things continued to develop like this, Xuri would not stand idly by forever, and Jiu had made his stance clear, he would not allow them to harm Baili Xia.

Were the two brothers really going to have a complete fallout?

All those years of affection, were they truly less significant than an unrelated woman?
