Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1239
“Mr. Xiaojiu, the person has fainted.” Ye Hua went over to check and reported to Mu Xiaojiu.
“Wake him up.”
Mu Xiaojiu slowly stood up and had just finished speaking when suddenly, the phone rang.
She took out her cell phone to look, seeing an unsaved number, but recognized instantly who it was from.
Mu Xiaojiu lightly pressed the answer button and sat back down in her chair.
“Jiu, did you capture Fang Ping? Let him go right now.”
Over the phone, an anxious female voice came through.
Mu Xiaojiu remained silent, and the woman continued.
“You know who he is, don’t mess with him, release him immediately, or else…”
As if hesitating about something, the person on the other end paused, but quickly continued.
“This matter has really angered your brother, better release Fang Ping quickly, and we can negotiate the rest.”
At that moment, a brother brought over a bucket of water and poured it all over Fang Ping’s head.
Fang Ping abruptly woke up, and upon seeing Mu Xiaojiu, he yelled, “Mr.
Xiaojiu, I really have no idea, asking me is useless.”
“Let him take the phone.” Ignoring Fang Ping, Mu Xiaojiu spoke indifferently into the phone.
He knew that at this moment, Mu Xuri was right beside Wen Yu.
The voice on the phone ceased, and Mu Xiaojiu sat there, watching Fang Ping continue to scream pitifully, a look devoid of emotion in her eyes.
It seemed Wen Yu was seeking Mu Xuri’s opinion; after a while, the voice returned.
However, it was Mu Xuri’s voice: “Jiu, release Fang Ping.”
“You did not keep the words you had said.” Instead of responding to his demand, Mu Xiaojiu said faintly into the phone.
“Give me six months, I will settle the matters. Why would you need to touch her?”
There was silence on the other end of the line; indeed, during the last meeting, they had agreed that Mu Xiaojiu would be given half a year’s time.
But, the report from the person he had placed around Mu Xiaojiu forced him to decide to change the original plan.
It was just a matter of giving Jiu a warning; otherwise, the kid wouldn’t have any idea what obedience meant.
However, Mu Xuri seemed to forget that he had taught Jiu himself.
Over the years, he had only ever shown respect for him.
When had he ever been forced to “obey”?
After pondering for a moment, he slowly said.
“Jiu, this woman has too much influence on you, it will ruin you and affect our plans as well.”
“Last night, she was in your room; tell me, how are you going to handle this?”
Hearing Mu Xuri suddenly mention last night’s incident with Baili Xia staying in his room, Mu Xiaojiu remained unperturbed, his voice just as calm.
“You don’t need to worry about these things, within six months, I will handle everything.”
Mu Xiaojiu’s behavior was somewhat unexpected to Mu Xuri; he had thought that being under surveillance would cause some dissatisfaction, yet it seemed as if he didn’t care at all.
Could it be that he had always known he was being watched?
Why had he never mentioned it?
“Jiu, let’s talk about these issues later, first you release Fang Ping.”
“Do not harm him, you know how important he is to me.”
“Is that so?
He’s important to you?” Mu Xiaojiu raised an eyebrow, surprisingly letting out a faint smile: “I was only planning to cripple him, but now, I’ve changed my mind.”
Mu Xiaojiu’s subdued voice came through the receiver, carrying no warmth and no ripples.
But anyone could clearly understand that he was expressing his anger in another way.
