Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 124: My People Play However You Want 51_1
“I won’t.” Baili Xia refused to move, instead, she leaned against the car door, defiantly glaring at Uncle.
Mu Xiaojiu’s gaze fixed intently on her petite face.
Just as Baili Xia began to feel a smidgen of guilt, fearing he might suddenly become angry and torment her again, and was about to relent, she unexpectedly heard Uncle’s hearty laugh ring out inside the car.
The soundproofing was so efficient, no one outside could overhear.
If the girls were to hear Uncle’s laughter, how smitten would they be?
Even Baili Xia herself couldn’t suppress her pulse from quickening, a symptom of the unease his laughter stirred within her.
Uncle’s laughter was so bright, so completely unlike his usual aloof and distant demeanor.
Her breathing became irregular, and her hand subconsciously pressed against her chest.
She couldn’t afford to let her heart race for him, or let herself lose control over a small chuckle of his.
She had to remember that this man almost killed her, he’s a villain.
Mu Xiaojiu’s laughter quickly faded, replaced by an inscrutable smile.
Glancing at the still indignant Baili Xia leaning against the car door, he patted his lap, tugged at his lips, and smirked.
“Come here, it’s been a while since Uncle last held you.
Come for a hug.”
“No.” She continued to resist, her eyes full of resentment.
“Are you really testing my patience and forcing me to get physical?”
His faint smile made it hard to tell whether he was angry or amused.
But Baili Xia knew better, how could her defiance make him happy?
He must be unhappy.
This man, becoming upset at the drop of a hat.
Mu Xiaojiu’s next words sent her spiraling deeper into panic.
“If you don’t come to me, then I’ll come to you.
But note, once I do, I might not be as gentle.”
Baili Xia clenched her tiny hands into fists, yearning to punch that smug smile off his face.
This bastard wants to bully her again.
“Are you still not coming?
Would you rather I got rough here?”
Mu Xiaojiu seemed to be losing patience.
Even his smile dissipated, replaced by the familiar mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Experiencing it in the car might not be so bad, shall we try?”
“Fine, I’ll come over.” Baili Xia hastily threw down her schoolbag and grudgingly moved towards him.
Mu Xiaojiu patted his thigh again, eyeing her.
Baili Xia swallowed her urge to roll her eyes at him and inhaled deeply.
Finally, she lifted her leg to cross over and sat down on his lap.
Uncle’s long arm immediately wrapped around her waist, drawing her closer to him, mashing their bodies together.
“I’ve been away for so long, have you missed me?” he asked in a husky voice, staring down at her delicate head.
He genuinely did not know whether she had missed him or not.
Since she resented him for pushing her into the sea, she may have been cursing him even if she did miss him.
He was never one to explain himself.
Mu Lingchuan knew what had happened but he did not want anyone to know he was hurt.
Not even Baili Xia.
He didn’t want her to know.
Therefore, at his request, Mu Lingchuan did not explain the incident to Baili Xia.
Now, the girl blew out her cheeks in exasperation at him, probably still angry.
He placed his hand on her head, pressing her against his chest.
“Are you still holding a grudge against Uncle and refusing to forgive him?”
