Throughout the entire cruise, Baili Xia locked herself in the cabin Bei Tianyou had arranged for her to rest and never came out.

Until the cruise docked, and they were about to go ashore on the island.

Bei Tianyou still seemed a bit weak, so once they emerged from the cabin, Baili Xia stayed by his side.

Actually, she wasn’t really supporting him, just holding onto his arm, walking beside him.

In her heart, Bei Tianyou was her closest cousin.

Holding each other’s arms as cousins felt completely normal.

But, in the eyes of a certain man, their linked arms were quite the eyesore.

Mu Xiaojiu coldly withdrew his gaze and promptly disembarked.

He doesn’t understand the idea of pestering; his pride stands tall!

Baili Xia couldn’t be bothered with him; a glance at his face told her his arrogant temper had resurfaced.

Since she’s still mad at him, she pretended not to see his expression, out of sight, out of mind.

The island’s bodyguards had been waiting all along; Bei Tianyou brought quite a few with him this time.

The island itself had many guards, ensuring the security measures were thoroughly implemented.

This island is designated for planting precious medicinal herbs, reportedly due to its favorable climate.

Surrounded by the sea, plus it’s positioned at a windy spot, it’s said that in winter, air currents create a unique temperature zone here.

No wonder Baili Xia felt hot once she got ashore.

It was cold outside today, and given the sea voyage, she wore a thick coat.

Immediately upon setting foot on the island, she was sweating from the heat.

“Take off your coat and give it to them; wear it again on the way back,” Bei Tianyou said as he glanced downward at her.

“This entire island won’t be cold; it’s at least twenty-seven or eight degrees now.”

“Got it.” Baili Xia took off her coat and handed it to the workers following behind them.

Looking back, Mu Xiaojiu and Ye Hua had already removed their coats and were clad in thin shirts.

To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, Baili Xia quickly averted her gaze, still holding onto Bei Tianyou’s arm, walking beside him at a leisurely pace.

Once Mu Xiaojiu caught up, Bei Tianyou began to introduce the island’s situation to him.

These medicinal herbs were indeed particularly valuable; many varieties Baili Xia had only heard of but never seen with her own eyes.

Apparently, Uncle wanted to join with Mr.

Bei in a venture for health and entertainment, an industry combining wellness and entertainment.

Apart from the two of them, only Ye Hua, Fan Yi, and Baili Xia were nearby.

Everyone else, whether guards or workers, kept a significant distance away.

Clearly, the content of their conversation was highly confidential.

Baili Xia wondered if she should leave them to talk in private?

Yet it seemed Uncle and Mr.

Bei had no intention of excusing her.

From the island, they traversed a small region and spent almost two full hours walking through it.

At noon, workers laid out a lavish meal near the plaza by the herb field.

However, the aroma of the dishes seemed mixed with a rich herbal scent.

“Medicinal cuisine?” Baili Xia tilted her head, looking at Bei Tianyou walking beside her.

Bei Tianyou nodded, glancing at Mu Xiaojiu walking ahead.

“Mr. Xiaojiu wouldn’t mind having a medicinal meal for lunch, right?”

Mu Xiaojiu turned back, his gaze swept briefly over Baili Xia’s face before meeting Bei Tianyou’s eyes.

“This island boasts the finest herbs in the world; having a meal here is a blessing, why not enjoy it?”
