Baili Xia was woken up by the urgent knocking on the door.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Bei Tianyou leaning against the headboard, looking at her thoughtfully.

It seemed he had already been awake for a while.

But this posture of leaning against the headboard was filled with infinite allure.

If it were another girl here, she might have just pounced on him.

Baili Xia was momentarily captivated.

“What are you looking at?” Bei Tianyou’s gentle voice pulled her back to reality.

Baili Xia smiled awkwardly and moved her hand, only to realize he was still holding it.

Bei Tianyou also hadn’t realized that he hadn’t let go of her yet.

“Sorry.” He immediately withdrew his hand with a bit of embarrassment.

Baili Xia, however, didn’t feel anything unusual, yawned, and pointed towards the door.

Bei Tianyou nodded, and Baili Xia got up to open the door.

At this moment, the person outside seemed impatient with the knocking and started to shout.

“Brother You, Brother You, open the door.”

Upon hearing this voice, Baili Xia knew who had arrived.

Walking to the door, she turned the lock and opened the door, and in an instant, Nangong Yun rushed in first.

She pushed Baili Xia, who was standing at the door, aside with considerable force.

Baili Xia, caught off guard, staggered back a few steps.

Nangong Yun ignored this, looking at Bei Tianyou lying in bed, she softly asked, “Brother You, are you alright?”

Bei Tianyou just glanced at her indifferently without speaking.

Upon seeing Nangong Yun, Baili Xia was irritated.

Last night when an incident happened to Bei Tianyou’s men, her first thought was to suspect Nangong Yun.

Who’s to blame when Nangong Yun has too many prior offenses and isn’t a good person at all.

Bei Tianyou’s current frail condition partly has Nangong Yun to thank for.

At a time like this, she’s pretending to care about Brother You, it’s just disgusting.

Just about to say something, she saw the Old Madam being helped in by a servant from outside the door.

“Old Madam.” Baili Xia quickly paid her respects.

Nangong Yun had brought the Old Madam to Bei Tianyou’s room early in the morning, what was she planning?

But regardless, the Old Madam was her family and elder, so Baili Xia subconsciously felt the need to respect her.

Besides Nangong Yun and the Old Madam, more people were coming in.

Following behind them were Bei Yulin and Tang Jixin.

However, Tang Jixin was acting as if she had seen a ghost upon seeing the Old Madam, not daring to make a sound.

Even though she was surprised to find Baili Xia in Bei Tianyou’s room,

With the Old Madam present, she became entirely invisible.

After entering, Bei Yulin merely called Bei Tianyou “brother” before coldly observing the scene in the room.

The Old Madam nodded to Baili Xia without speaking, but her expression showed a hint of displeasure.

After taking a glance at Bei Tianyou still sitting on the bed, she suddenly turned around and gradually made her way to the sofa in the living room and sat down.

A wall separated the living room from the inner room, preventing Bei Tianyou from seeing the living room from the bed.

He sat up from the bed, swung his legs over the side, and put on his shoes.

Ignoring Nangong Yun, he went straight to the bathroom.

Not long after, he emerged from the bathroom and went to the living room with Baili Xia, sitting on the sofa across from the Old Madam.

“Grandma,” Bei Tianyou looked at the Old Madam and softly asked, “Is there something you needed from me so early?”

Clearly, he was much gentler when addressing the Old Madam.

He then turned to Tang Jixin and greeted her: “Mom, morning.”
