“He’s the new guy, I’ve never seen him before. His name is…”

Fan Yi tried hard to recall the person’s name; he was too focused on competing with him at the time to even ask for his name.

It wasn’t until after the competition was over and some servants were discussing it that he learned the person’s name.

Finally, Fan Yi remembered: “Oh right, his name…

is Guisu.”

“Guisu?” Hearing this long-lost name, Baili Xia was quite shaken inside.

“You said his name is really Guisu?”

“Miss Xiaxia, there’s no mistake, I heard the servants all address him as Mr. Guisu,” Fan Yi replied respectfully.

Seeing Fan Yi speak so firmly, Baili Xia didn’t doubt it.

She was just puzzled as to why Guisu returned to the Miao Domain and was under Nangong Yun.

Unable to figure it out, it might be better to personally go ask him.

She looked at Bei Tianyou and calmly reassured him: “Brother You, no need to worry. I know this person; let me go see what’s going on first.”

…

Outside the Wangyue Pavilion, Baili Xia had been standing there for a while.

She didn’t know how to go in and find Guisu; she really didn’t want to come to this place.

She had an inexplicable aversion to Nangong Yun; every time they met, Nangong Yun always targeted her.

But if she didn’t go in, how could she find Guisu and clarify what exactly was happening?

Just as she was hesitating about whether to enter, bursts of laughter suddenly came from within the courtyard of the Wangyue Pavilion.

Though separated by the garden wall, she could vaguely hear two women talking.

Whenever they got excited, a few laughs would ring out.

Baili Xia initially wanted to leave, but it was too late now.

Just after a few seconds, she saw Nangong Yun and Sima Liuyue chatting and laughing as they walked out of the courtyard.

The two showed such a close demeanor, like old friends conversing.

Guisu followed behind them, his face still so stern and expressionless, just quietly tagging along.

When Nangong Yun and Sima Liuyue came out, they didn’t notice Baili Xia and continued their conversation.

Though not loud, as they got closer, Baili Xia could hear what they were discussing.

“Rest assured, I will definitely recommend you to my mother, to facilitate the cooperation with your Sima Family.”

“Thank you, then.

I will surely support you in becoming the Minister.”

“Haha, as long as we cooperate, we can definitely do it.”

The two laughed again, seemingly oblivious to others around.

Suddenly, Nangong Yun’s gaze fell on Baili Xia standing under a large tree at the door, her face turned cold for an instant.

But it was only a moment; her expression quickly returned to normal.

Following her gaze, Sima Liuyue also saw Baili Xia, and after a moment of surprise, a slight smile appeared on her face.

Guisu, seeing Baili Xia, stood there stunned, almost forgetting to step forward.

Clearly, he didn’t expect to encounter Baili Xia here again.

Since she was seen, Baili Xia didn’t dodge, and approached them.

“Miss Sima, hello, I didn’t expect to meet you here,” Baili Xia greeted Sima Liuyue graciously.

After speaking, she smiled at Guisu, “What a coincidence.”

Guisu just nodded slightly, not speaking.

Sima Liuyue extended her right hand and gently shook it with Baili Xia’s.

She smiled faintly and said gently, “Indeed, what a coincidence for us to meet.”

Since seeing Baili Xia, Nangong Yun’s face had been grim, remaining sullen.

If not for Sima Liuyue being there, she might have rushed forward to give a scolding.

But in front of guests, she still needed to maintain her elegance.
