Baili Xia once again realized that Wu Ming’s skills were truly remarkable, seeming no worse than Uncle’s.

Having such a powerful person at Uncle’s side, would it be a lot of pressure?

“Are you coming up or not?” Wu Ming above frowned like a sharp sword, growing impatient.

“Coming.”

Unfortunately, the bracelet listened to Uncle and was sent back to Xiaoxiao for redesign.

Otherwise, it would have been easy to get up.

Baili Xia took a few steps back, took a deep breath, and rushed towards the wall.

As she approached the wall, she mimicked Wu Ming’s actions, forcefully kicking her right foot against the wall.

With inertia and the force from her foot, she propelled herself nearly a meter upwards.

But it wasn’t enough; there was still about twenty centimeters from the wall’s edge.

Just as she was about to fall, Wu Ming’s outstretched arm quickly moved over, firmly grabbing Baili Xia’s left hand.

Then, with a forceful pull, Baili Xia was lifted up.

This string of movements tugged at the injury in Baili Xia’s chest.

Baili Xia frowned slightly, reaching to cover her chest.

“What’s wrong?”

Seeing her change in expression, Wu Ming asked softly.

If Baili Xia had looked closely, she would have easily noticed the fleeting heartache in his eyes.

Unfortunately, the moonlight was too dim, and she didn’t get the chance to see it.

Baili Xia quickly shook her head, “I just pulled it a bit, it’s fine. Let’s go.”

Wu Ming didn’t move, just kept staring into her eyes.

Baili Xia felt a bit nervous, moved her hand away from her chest, and urged, “What are you staring at? Let’s hurry, it will be trouble if we’re discovered.”

Only then did Wu Ming shift his gaze, scanning the courtyard and closely checking below before jumping down first.

When Baili Xia saw Wu Ming go down, she quickly followed suit.

Unexpectedly, when she landed, Wu Ming caught her in his arms.

She quickly pushed Wu Ming away, stood firm herself, and couldn’t help but glare at him, “Why do you keep doing this?

I won’t talk to you if you keep it up.”

“I was just afraid you’d get hurt…” Wu Ming replied softly.

Baili Xia knew Wu Ming meant well.

But being too close to him always made her feel he might have inappropriate thoughts.

If Uncle knew, he might…

What unsettled her more was why her body didn’t reject being close to Wu Ming?

Sometimes, it even instinctively yearned for it?

Could it be that she’s such a fickle woman?

Impossible!

How could it be!

“Don’t do this again, I’m not as weak as you think.” She wasn’t sure if she was blaming him or herself.

Suddenly thinking of something, Baili Xia hastily asked, “I wonder how the security system here is, aren’t we afraid of being caught on surveillance?”

“Don’t worry, I came here once during the day, I know where the cameras are.”

Baili Xia suddenly realized, Wu Ming had scouted the place during the day and made his preparations in advance.

But wouldn’t scouting during the day make it more likely to be discovered?

If Wu Ming was already noticed, what should they do?

Nervousness gripped her, but there was no time to discuss it now.

Wu Ming was already moving ahead, and Baili Xia had to quickly follow.

She could see Wu Ming swiftly navigating ahead, only stopping to wait when Baili Xia almost couldn’t keep up.

When encountering obstacles that were difficult for Baili Xia to pass, he would simply pick her up and climb over directly.

The idea of whether it was necessary didn’t even cross his mind.
