Bei Tianyou’s face slightly froze as well, clearly finding Mu Xiaojiu’s decision a little strange.

He couldn’t quite understand why Mu Xiaojiu would send a helicopter over in the middle of the night.

In terms of speed, an airplane is several times faster than a helicopter.

In terms of safety, stability, and comfort, a helicopter can’t compare to an airplane either.

The only advantage is that a helicopter is more flexible and provides better privacy for individuals.

Perhaps, Mu Xiaojiu is worried about Baili Xia’s safety, afraid she might encounter unexpected situations on the way.

“Mr. Xiaojiu is… very good to you,” Bei Tianyou said lightly, looking at Baili Xia.

Baili Xia dared not meet his eyes, and only replied casually, “Hmm, Uncle is very good to us youngsters.”

Something flashed in Bei Tianyou’s eyes, and he said no more.

After a while, he spoke again, “Since the helicopter is almost here, why don’t we go to the back mountain and wait?”

Baili Xia nodded, agreed, and then followed Bei Tianyou out of the courtyard.

Although she was terrified of riding in a helicopter, since Uncle had already arranged it, she had to grit her teeth and go.

However, the thought that Wu Ming would be accompanying her offered some peace of mind.

Thinking of Wu Ming, she suddenly realized she hadn’t seen him since this morning.

She wondered if he already knew Uncle had sent a helicopter, and was waiting somewhere.

Outside the courtyard, Fan Yi called for a tour cart.

The group got onto the cart, and Fan Yi drove them towards the back mountain.

After about ten minutes, the cart arrived at a large, open, flat grassy area.

At the edge of this grassy field, there was a lounge for the helipad.

The four of them drove directly to the door of the lounge and stopped.

Here, Baili Xia still didn’t see any sign of Wu Ming.

She wasn’t worried about Wu Ming’s safety; she was worried he wouldn’t come.

Boarding the helicopter alone, she knew she’d be scared out of her wits.

The group waited in the lounge, and after about ten minutes, a rumbling sound came from outside, growing louder and louder.

“The helicopter is here,” Fan Yi said, standing up to walk out.

The others stood up as well, following him outside.

A large helicopter with its enormous rotor blades was swiftly approaching from a distance.

Even from so far away, the noise was deafening.

When the helicopter was above the lounge, getting ready to land, the noise grew even louder.

The strong wind pressure nearly made Baili Xia lose her footing.

“Wait inside.”

Bei Tianyou said calmly, and without waiting to see if Baili Xia heard him, he reached out and pulled her back into the lounge.

After a while, the helicopter slowly landed on the flat ground outside the lounge, and Baili Xia and the others walked out once more.

The aircraft’s door opened, and a tall figure stepped out.

The fierce wind blew against him, messing up his already unruly bangs.

His aura of aloofness and coldness dissipated significantly upon seeing Baili Xia’s petite figure.

Upon seeing this familiar figure, Baili Xia’s heart tightened instantly, her little face struck speechless with shock.

“U-Uncle…” she stuttered instinctively.

Mu Xiaojiu strode over, nodded to the group, and gently ruffled Baili Xia’s hair.

“Is that how you welcome your Uncle?”

It was only then that Baili Xia regained some of her senses and asked, “Uncle, why are you here?”

Seeing him here was truly astonishing.

He was far off in Jin City; how could he just suddenly come to personally take her back?

She never imagined…
