Finally, they left.

Once on the helicopter, Baili Xia’s sorrow about parting vanished without a trace.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to think about it, but she simply didn’t have the chance to.

As soon as she got on the helicopter, she panicked and clung to the seat, gripping onto anything she could hold on to.

Her face was pale, and even her knuckles turned white.

It was utterly terrifying.

The sensation of swaying, the feeling of completely entrusting your life to someone else — only those who’ve experienced it would understand.

That feeling is simply unbearable for the average person.

“What’s wrong? You look so pale,” Mu Xiaojiu, sitting beside her, furrowed his thick eyebrows.

Seeing her gripping the safety handle tightly, her fingertips shaking, he suddenly asked, “Afraid?”

Baili Xia didn’t want to lie to him.

She glanced at him sideways and slowly nodded her head.

“If you’re afraid, why didn’t you say so earlier?” Mu Xiaojiu felt a bit like laughing.

This girl…

He unbuckled her seat belt, wrapped a large hand around her, and pulled her onto his lap.

“Uncle…” Sitting in a helicopter requires balancing weight.

Wouldn’t bringing her over cause the cabin to become unbalanced?

Mu Xiaojiu didn’t care at all.

His two iron-like arms wrapped around her waist, holding her tightly.

“Do you trust me or the seat belt?” he asked calmly.

Baili Xia couldn’t utter a word because the helicopter was starting to take off.

With a deafening roar, the helicopter slowly lifted off, soon hovering in mid-air.

“Aren’t you going to take one last look at them?” Mu Xiaojiu’s deep, magnetic voice echoed in her ear.

Baili Xia wanted to look, but as soon as she saw the vast white sky outside, she was so frightened that she turned her face back, burying it deeply in his chest.

She didn’t dare look at anything outside, not even half an eye.

It seemed like only nestled in his arms was the safest place.

Mu Xiaojiu didn’t say anything else, tightening his arms to hold her even closer.

Feeling the strength of his iron arms, Baili Xia gradually became less afraid.

Which did she trust more, the seat belt or his arms?

The answer was beyond doubt.

Mu Xiaojiu’s gaze fell on her small head.

As the helicopter flew more steadily in mid-air, his heart became increasingly unsettled.

This time, they really were going back.

The Mu Group is in such chaos now; if it weren’t for her insistence, he certainly wouldn’t let her return.

This is the final battle.

Once it’s over, they could be together forever.

Hopefully, nothing else goes wrong so everything can be resolved soon…

…

The helicopter flew for several hours before finally landing safely at the Mu family’s rear mountain helipad.

They had been tense for hours, listening to the roar of the rotor blades along the way.

Even after getting off the plane, Baili Xia’s ears still seemed to buzz.

Boarding Ye Hua’s sightseeing car, several people headed towards Sihai Residence.

Just as they arrived at Sihai Residence, Baili Xia was planning to find an excuse to tell Uncle she needed to go out when suddenly her phone rang.

Seeing the screen, Baili Xia immediately grew tense.

“Xiaoxiao.” Answering the call, Baili Xia called softly.

“Xiaxia, I finally got through. Have you arrived?” Xiaoxiao’s anxious voice came from the other end.

“I just got here. What’s wrong, Xiaoxiao?” Sensing something unusual in her voice, Baili Xia quickly asked.

“Mo has gone to the hospital again. She locked me in the room, and a colleague just helped me open the door so I could get out.”

Xiaoxiao was so anxious her heart nearly stopped!

“Xiaxia, you need to go check on her quickly.”
