When Ye Hua and Ning Anran came out, they were talking.

Perhaps they were too engrossed in the conversation or something, neither of them noticed Baili Xia walking in the front yard.

Baili Xia hesitated for a moment, then suddenly turned and walked towards the flower bed nearby, quickly hiding behind it.

After concealing herself, she suddenly felt a bit ashamed of her actions.

She used to be such close friends with Ning Anran, when did it become that she had to hide upon seeing her?

It’s not that she’s afraid of Ning Anran, but for some reason, she just doesn’t want to be seen by her.

To be honest, she’s no longer interested in maintaining the friendship with Ning Anran.

Ever since she came back, Ning Anran suddenly became so enthusiastic, overwhelmingly so.

But Baili Xia knows that behind such enthusiasm, there isn’t an equally fervent heart.

It’s not that she deliberately thinks the worst of people, but she prided herself on understanding Ning Anran to some extent.

In any case, all insincere emotions make for discomfort in interaction, even causing disgust.

Initially, Baili Xia just wanted to hide until Ning Anran passed by, then she’d go in to find Uncle.

She came to find Uncle tonight for her own personal matters and didn’t want Ning Anran to entangle her, asking endless questions.

But she hadn’t expected the conversation between Ye Hua and Ning Anran to be related to her.

“Ye Hua, Mr. Xiaojiu doesn’t want to listen to me. He’s just temporarily blinded, but you can’t be like this.”

Ning Anran walked beside Ye Hua, seemingly trying to persuade him of something.

“Mr.

Xiaojiu might not want it, but you should think carefully for him.

What would Baili Xia think if she found out the truth?”

“After everything we’ve done, once Baili Xia finds out, she’ll definitely have thoughts about Mr.

Xiaojiu.”

“She might even turn around and go against Mr.

Xiaojiu.”

Baili Xia, hidden behind the flower bed, was stunned, using the light from the streetlamp to clearly see the two figures walking not far away.

Ye Hua’s face remained cold, while Ning Anran looked constantly uneasy.

“Ye Hua, you’re by Mr.

Xiaojiu’s side.

Are you going to disregard his safety?”

“So what do you propose?” Ye Hua’s voice was calm, giving no hint of his emotions.

Seeing that he finally responded to her, Ning Anran felt a surge of joy.

Without much thought, she immediately said, “Mr.

Xiaojiu likes Baili Xia; he certainly won’t guard against her.

You need to pay extra attention to this.”

“Mr.

Xiaojiu might not, but you must; you have to guard against her, just in case…”

“Just in case of what?” Ye Hua’s expression remained almost unchanged, and his gaze became progressively colder.

Ning Anran couldn’t ignore the cold aura he emitted but, concerning Mr.

Xiaojiu, there were things she had to say.

“Just in case one day she finds out the truth, she’ll certainly seek revenge on Mr.

Xiaojiu.”

“So what’s your suggestion?” Ye Hua gave her a faint glance.

Ning Anran took a deep breath, as if making a major decision.

“Prevent troubles before they arise; if necessary…”

She hesitated, as if this statement was difficult to make.

But ultimately, she decided to continue: “If necessary, for Mr. Xiaojiu’s safety, you can… eliminate her for him!”

The figure behind the flower bed stiffened, palms clasped together, suddenly soaked in cold sweat.

Eliminate her!

Baili Xia thought that even if Ning Anran was somewhat calculating, even if she was displeased with her.

At a minimum, having grown up together, she believed she understood her.

She’s not exactly a good person, but not bad enough to commit heinous acts.

It was only until this moment that she realized she had always been under a delusion!
