“Grandpa, let me try acupuncture for you.” The words of the old man made Baili Xia feel a sudden pang of sadness.

Looking at him, even though she still couldn’t understand what he intended, her words were resolute.

“Grandpa’s health has declined a bit recently, but you’ll get better. I’ll go give you acupuncture now.”

Xiaoyao looked at her, his eyes clearly showing a hint of disapproval.

“We have a family doctor at home whose medical skills are far superior to yours.

Why not have the family doctor take a look?”

“The family doctor practices Western medicine, but for recuperation like this, traditional Chinese medicine is more suitable.”

Feng Gang also chimed in, smiling, “Last time Miss Xiaxia gave the old master acupuncture, his complexion did seem to improve noticeably.”

“What, do you have something to do later?” The old man also looked at Baili Xia, his gaze calm.

“If you’re busy, then go ahead.

These old bones of mine have been around for decades; there’s no rush.”

“It’s fine, I’ll follow grandpa back to the room now.” Baili Xia stood up.

She looked at Xiaoyao: “Brother, wait for me a bit, I’ll be back soon.”

“I’m coming with you.” Xiaoyao also stood up.

Baili Xia didn’t say anything, she just looked at the old man.

She didn’t know if the old man had something he wanted to say to her, but even if he did, she feared her brother wouldn’t give them the opportunity to be alone.

However, the old man remained calm, nodding his head, and stood up with Feng Gang’s support.

Mu Ziying and Mu Ziqing, realizing there’s nothing for them here, bid farewell to their grandfather and left.

Xiaoyao and Baili Xia followed the old man and Feng Gang back to the room.

After removing his shirt, the old man lay down on the bed.

Feng Gang lit an incense burner on the side, saying it was supposed to have a calming effect.

Xiaoyao didn’t understand these things, he just sat to the side, leisurely playing with his phone.

“Mr. Mu and Miss Xiaxia are really close, wanting to be together no matter where they go, even being apart for a minute seems unbearable.”

Feng Gang stood by, looking at Xiaoyao, speaking with a smile.

Surprisingly, Xiaoyao didn’t refute.

Instead, he nodded, staying silent.

His expression really looked as if he was admitting he couldn’t bear to be away from Baili Xia even for a moment.

Baili Xia didn’t say anything either, taking out silver needles and carefully starting to do acupuncture on the old man.

No matter what the old man meant, since she was there, she might as well give him a few needles properly.

This method of acupuncture was beneficial for his health.

Feng Gang seemed to particularly enjoy talking, once again looking at Xiaoyao and speaking first.

“Has the date for Mr. Mu and Xiaxia’s engagement banquet been set?”

Unexpectedly, bringing up this subject at such a time, Xiaoyao looked up, giving him a glance.

“Not yet, Uncle has been quite busy lately, and hasn’t had the chance to sit down and properly choose a date.”

“Actually, this kind of thing can be handled by Feng Gang as well. He’s an old hand at this, there should be no problem picking a date.”

Lying on the bed, the old man also joined their conversation.

Because of the angle, he didn’t look at anyone and kept his eyes closed.

His voice was calm, seeming emotionless.

“Your uncle is always so busy, where would he find the time to choose a date for you, or even organize the banquet?”

“Feng Gang is different. If you trust him, you can leave all these matters to him.”

Baili Xia’s face flushed slightly, even she couldn’t understand what her grandpa meant by bringing this up now.
