Baili Xia’s luck wasn’t too bad.

After cutting herself, within less than ten minutes, a maid indeed came upstairs.

The maid delivering the meal had just reached the door when she saw blood seeping out from under the door.

Upon seeing this, she was terrified out of her wits.

The things in her hands slipped, all falling to the ground.

The door not far away was pushed open, and Xiaoyao stepped out from inside.

“M-Mr. Mu, blood… there’s blood…” The maid was so scared she couldn’t speak coherently.

Mu Xiaoyao squinted his eyes, quickly locking his gaze on the puddle of blood on the floor.

His pupils constricted, and he took a large stride forward, opening the door with the fastest speed.

Baili Xia was collapsed behind the door, and Mu Xiaoyao managed to open the door without hurting her.

He picked up the girl whose arm was covered in blood and carefully placed her on the bed.

Mu Xiaoyao turned around and glared at the maid, yelling uncontrollably, “Watch her, I’m going to find a doctor!”

“Y-yes…” Mr.

Mu had never spoken so loudly before, and the maid was almost too frightened to stand.

Mu Xiaoyao couldn’t wait any longer and didn’t want to call the doctor to come by himself.

The medical room was just at the back, with plenty of doctors and nurses there.

He would rather go and bring one back himself!

Baili Xia lay on the bed, looking as if she had already fainted.

Although the maid was scared stiff, she remembered to get a towel to bandage her.

So much blood was lost, if it continued, should something happen to Miss Xiaxia, not only Mr.

Mu would have their lives.

When Mr.

Xiaojiu returned, it was feared that none of them would survive.

But what the maid didn’t expect was that after just a trip to the bathroom, in less than five seconds,

when she came out, the person on the bed was completely gone.

As the maid entered the bathroom, Baili Xia sprang up from the bed.

Having lost quite a bit of blood, she felt a little dizzy when she stood up.

But, she didn’t have much time!

Not having time to think more, she immediately dashed out of the room and ran all the way to the balcony at the end of the corridor on the second floor.

She released the heavenly silkworm silk from her bracelet, hooking it onto the iron railing of the balcony.

She leaped lightly, flipping down from the second floor.

The shrieks of the maid could still be heard from the corridor behind.

But she couldn’t care about that anymore.

She needed to stop her grandfather from going to the press conference, even though she knew that by now, the conference must have already started.

But she couldn’t just watch as her grandfather went to prison, he was innocent!

She had to stop it, no matter what.

Even if it meant taking her grandfather and leaving Jin City, leaving this country!

The heavenly silkworm silk carried her slender body, sliding down from the second floor.

As she was about to reach the ground, she pressed her long fingers, retracting the heavenly silkworm silk, and her body quickly fell.

Baili Xia, who thought she would land steadily on the ground, suddenly felt her body lightening, and she was already stabilized.

Stabilized in a strong embrace!

Too much blood had flowed, and as she relaxed, the dizzy feeling rushed over instantly.

She weakly opened her eyes, seeing a long-missed familiar face, with the sunlight casting a shadowy glow.

“Miss Xiaxia, long time no see.”

Night Shadow’s voice carried a hint of hoarseness, as he saw the blood on her arm, his brows furrowed tightly.

“Why put yourself through this? Things… can’t be changed, please don’t hurt yourself anymore!”

Holding her, Night Shadow strode towards the hall.
