Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1690
Mo knew how forced her smile was; she just didn’t want them to worry.
She reached out her hand and gently held Baili Xia’s hand.
As if to tell her, don’t be afraid, no matter what, I support you.
Baili Xia glanced at her and smiled, “Let’s not talk about these things.
Is Mo feeling better now?
Can she go out for a walk?”
Mo softly replied, “Sure, I’d love to go out for a walk.
But Mu Lingchuan won’t let me get out of bed no matter what; I’m about to go stir-crazy.”
“Oh, you’ve already changed to calling him Mu Lingchuan, huh?
Looks like the relationship’s developing fast,” Xiaoxiao teased.
“Didn’t expect that Mo would be the fastest among us three,” Baili Xia added.
Mo blushed slightly, unable to hide her embarrassment.
“Stop laughing at me, or I won’t go out.”
“Okay, okay, no more teasing the ones in love.”
“Haha.”
The three of them laughed as they helped Mo sit up from the bed.
Baili Xia and Xiaoxiao supported her, slowly walking out of the medical room.
Outside the medical room, Baili Xia and Xiaoxiao walked on either side of Mo, strolling casually.
“With you two supporting me like this, it feels like I’m crippled,” Mo laughed.
“I’m really fine now, honestly. Let go, let me walk on my own.”
Baili Xia and Xiaoxiao exchanged a glance, seemingly feeling that their actions were a bit too exaggerated.
It was supposed to be a walk; how could it be a walk like this?
Only then did they gently release their hold on Mo, letting her stand steadily on her own.
“Mo, have you noticed, you’ve changed from before,” Baili Xia said softly.
“How have I changed?” Mo tilted her head, looking at her in surprise.
“You’re smiling. Those nourished by love really are different,” Baili Xia joked.
“Hey, Xiaxia, if you hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have noticed. But it seems to be true,” Xiaoxiao agreed with a smile, as if she had just realized it.
A blush spread across Mo’s cheeks, and she gently scolded,
“You two are too much.
Forget it, I’m heading back.”
“Alright, alright, no more talk.”
The three of them chatted and laughed, as if time had turned back to the past.
It seemed like it had been a long time since they were this happy.
Although Baili Xia still had many things on her mind, being with close friends brightened her mood.
No matter how long or difficult the road ahead might be, at least, she had them.
The three of them walked for over ten minutes before Baili Xia, worried that Mo might get tired, suggested going back.
Though Mo wasn’t tired, she agreed, afraid of affecting the child.
The three of them then returned towards the medical room.
As they approached the courtyard near the medical room, they suddenly saw three figures walking out from it.
Wen Yu and Ning Anran were in front, chatting as they walked, with Leng Yu following behind.
Seeing these three people, Baili Xia’s expression immediately turned cold.
She had only just met Wen Yu, but she was Mu Xuri’s wife, effectively an enemy.
As for Leng Yu and Ning Anran, there was no need to say more; her hostility towards them was no less intense than theirs towards her.
Xiaoxiao and Mo’s expressions also turned unpleasant; the former friendship with Ning Anran was no longer there.
But Leng Yu was because she almost caused Mo to lose her child.
Ning Anran and the others also saw Baili Xia’s trio.
Upon seeing Baili Xia, a look of hatred immediately appeared on Ning Anran’s face.
Her forehead had just been bandaged; how could she forget so quickly what Baili Xia had done to her?
