In the afternoon, Baili Xia had nothing to do and planned to visit Zimo at the main house.

As she reached the courtyard of the main house, she saw Mu Xuri being pushed out of the main hall by a maid.

Due to Mu Xuri, a wheelchair ramp was recently added on this side of the main house for his convenience.

The maid pushed him slowly down the ramp into the courtyard.

Seeing him, Baili Xia felt a chill in her heart.

She stopped in her tracks, intending to wait a moment before going in.

But when she looked at him again, suddenly, something flashed through her mind.

She reached into her pocket and felt for her phone.

After calming down, Baili Xia slowly walked towards Mu Xuri.

Mu Xuri saw Baili Xia approaching and furrowed his brows slightly.

He didn’t expect this girl to still dare face him; even a fool could tell he didn’t like her.

Especially these days, Mu Xiaojiu clashed with him countless times because of her.

Now, upon seeing Baili Xia, Mu Xuri didn’t even want to show the most basic normal expression.

If it weren’t for this girl, Mu Xiaojiu wouldn’t treat him this way!

Baili Xia stopped two meters away from Mu Xuri.

Mu Xuri, however, ignored her and continued to let the maid push him towards the courtyard.

Now that Wen Yu wasn’t around, he felt the maid’s service unsatisfactory.

Wen Yu would know what he needed and didn’t want, but these maids knew nothing.

Thinking of Wen Yu, not knowing where she was or what kind of life she was living now, Mu Xuri’s resentment towards Baili Xia grew stronger.

Yet, as he had the maid push him away, Baili Xia fearlessly stepped forward and blocked them.

“You’re the real murderer,” she suddenly said.

Mu Xuri was taken aback, not understanding what she meant.

Seeing Baili Xia about to speak again, he gently waved his hand at the maid behind him.

The maid understood and immediately turned away, retreating to wait in the hall.

Mu Xuri raised his eyes, looking at Baili Xia indifferently, and scolded, “I didn’t drive you out of the Mu family as a favor to Jiu, yet you still dare to spout nonsense?”

“What, are you afraid others will learn your secret?”

As she spoke, Baili Xia kept her hand in her pocket, pressing the record button on her phone.

This was what she had suddenly thought of, and perhaps she could find evidence of Mu Canghai’s murder from Mu Xuri’s words.

If she could record any hint of information about Mu Canghai’s murder back then, she could tell Mu Xiaojiu.

Let him know it really had nothing to do with grandpa, at least make him suspect Mu Xuri.

Baili Xia said coldly, “How long do you plan to hide the events of that year?”

“Do you think that just because what you did is unknown to the god and unseen by the ghost, no one knows?”

Mu Xuri’s face immediately turned dark, his expression cold as he looked at Baili Xia.

“What do you want to say?”

Baili Xia chuckled coldly, saying lightly, “When Mu Canghai died back then, only you were with him. The person who killed him must have been you. You still won’t admit it?”

Mu Xuri’s eye twitched slightly, and a trace of undetectable murderous intent flashed across his body.

He took a breath and said slowly, “Did Baili Yang tell you these things?

He’s been pretending to be my father all these years, trying to usurp the Mu family assets.

How can you trust his words?”

“While he’s in prison, he’ll think of ways to slander me.

It’s his only way to gain Jiu’s trust.”

“Child, you’re still young, too soft-hearted, don’t be deceived by him.”
