“What’s the matter?

Still not leaving?

Waiting for me to leave and then for them to come back and give you trouble?”

The man known as Dongfang suddenly stopped and looked back at her, his thin lips curling up slightly once again.

“Don’t worry.

As a friend of Mu Xiaoyao, I will escort you to the teaching building.”

The smile tugging at the corner of his lips can’t be said to be particularly pleasant, yet it doesn’t appear to be particularly harmful either.

Especially, Dongfang didn’t seem to intend on intimidating her, as even the cold aura surrounding him was deliberately subdued.

A friend of my brother…

Baili Xia hesitated momentarily before finally deciding to follow along.

Throughout the journey, Dongfang remained silent and quietly walked beside Baili Xia.

Baili Xia too didn’t speak at all, and the atmosphere along the way was somewhat heavy and indescribable.

What Baili Xia didn’t expect was that although Dongfang’s steps seemed slow, he was already far ahead before she realized it.

Somewhat helpless, Baili Xia could only jog to keep up, as her legs were not long enough.

The run left her gasping for breath, nearly unable to get enough air.

However, Dongfang seemed not to care at all and continued to stride towards the teaching building with his long legs.

When Baili Xia emerged onto the corridor outside the classroom, she drew surprised gazes from both the male and female students there, their eyes constantly drifting in her direction.

Baili Xia didn’t think much of it, but became more convinced of Dongfang’s high status in the school.

Otherwise, the girls who were bullying her earlier would not have become that respectful upon seeing him.

“I’m here now, thank you for today.”

Upon reaching the teaching building, Baili Xia immediately shot him a polite smile, speaking cordially.

What she meant was actually very clear: she was here, he could leave now.

Even though he had helped her, he was so reserved that he was difficult to read, and she didn’t want to interact with him more than necessary.

Particularly his chilly aura, which made her instinctively hesitant to approach him.

Moreover, as a friend of Mu Xiaoyao, she completely avoided getting involved with anything related to Mu Xiaoyao.

Without uttering a word, Dongfang gave her a faint glance, then continued walking down the corridor.

Watching his receding figure, Baili Xia finally let out a sigh of relief.

Just as she was about to turn around and enter the classroom, she ran into Ning Anran.

At the moment, Ning Anran was staring at her with a strange look, unblinkingly.

“What’s the matter?” Baili Xia looked at Ning Anran, completely puzzled.

“You…

know him?” Ning Anran pointed to the figure that was gradually moving away and asked in confusion: “How did you end up with him?”

“Just now…” As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Baili Xia hesitated.

She didn’t intend to let Anran know about what had happened just now; it was better to avoid additional problems.

After a brief pause, she continued: “I just happened to run into him.”

“Just happened to run into?” Ning Anran seemed even more confused: “So you just decided to come back together?”

Ning Anran, unwilling to drop the matter, drained Baili Xia’s energy.

Baili Xia blinked her eyes lightly and quickly changed the subject: “By the way, Anran, do you know the senior who just left?”

Her question made Ning Anran widen her eyes in surprise: “You mean, you don’t know him?”

Baili Xia shook her head and honestly answered: “I don’t know him.

I just know he is called Dongfang.”

“Oh my gosh, you actually don’t know him!”

Ning Anran smacked her forehead, completely exasperated: “Who in Imperial College doesn’t know Dongfang?”
