The maid pushed Mu Xuri, not stopping along the way, directly returned to the main house.

Mu Xuri’s face was frighteningly gloomy, constantly emanating an eerie chill.

The maid was terrified, trembling all the way, afraid that she might accidentally provoke him into unleashing his wrath on her.

Finally reaching the main hall, indeed seeing Wen Yu sitting on the sofa, the maid breathed a sigh of relief.

Upon seeing Wen Yu, the maid softly called, “Ma’am.”

Wen Yu ignored her, stood up, and walked to Mu Xuri’s side, taking over the wheelchair the maid was pushing.

Though neither spoke, Wen Yu could tell that Mu Xuri’s mood was at its worst.

She had just asked the servant and knew that he had gone to Sihai Residence.

Though she didn’t know what happened at Sihai Residence, it wasn’t hard to guess that Jiu had provoked him again.

The maid bowed and wisely retreated.

Wen Yu pushed Mu Xuri toward the study.

Once in the study, Wen Yu immediately turned and locked the door.

Only then did Mu Xuri unleash the anger he’d been holding in all the way.

He picked up a vase from the desk and threw it heavily to the floor.

The vase instantly shattered into pieces.

“What’s wrong with you?” Wen Yu approached Mu Xuri, placing her hands on his shoulders, speaking softly.

Mu Xuri raised his head to glance at her, his gaze icy cold.

“Mu Xiaojiu has grown bold now, unwilling to be under my control, even his servant dared to block me.”

“It seems action must be taken, cannot let things develop further.”

He no longer called him Jiu, but directly referred to Mu Xiaojiu by his name, showing how deep his hatred for Jiu ran.

“Exactly what misunderstanding happened between you two, making you so angry?”

Wen Yu gently patted Mu Xuri’s shoulder, trying to calm him down.

“Jiu is your kin, no need to talk about control or not.”

“As long as you can support each other, that’s enough.”

Mu Xuri gripped the sides of the wheelchair, directing it himself, turning the wheelchair to face Wen Yu.

His gaze fixed on Wen Yu’s eyes, as if trying to see through her thoughts, his words carried a hint of danger.

“Have you also grown fond of that boy?”

Wen Yu’s heart jolted, not expecting Mu Xuri to suddenly ask that.

Her heart raced intensely, she struggled to suppress her turbulent emotions, rebuking, “What nonsense are you talking, Jiu has been under my watch since childhood.”

“He’s your brother, and I see him as my own brother too, how can you say such things to slander me?”

A foggy mist covered her eyes, clearly deeply aggrieved.

Mu Xuri’s heart tightened, realizing he might have gone too far.

Indeed, he had been a bit impulsive, blinded by anger, with a slight sense of inferiority stirring within.

After all, he… isn’t a complete man now.

Wen Yu has been by his side for so many years, whether her heart has changed, he truly isn’t certain.

A woman, for his care, sacrificed her life’s happiness.

Is she really willing?

But, he just couldn’t give her happiness!

He glanced at Wen Yu lightly, saying nothing, his gaze fell upon the shards of the vase on the floor.

Some things, once broken, are really hard to restore.

Wen Yu saw his expression soften slightly, breathed a hidden sigh of relief.

“On this trip, I met someone, guess who I met?”
