She called him Uncle…

Mu Xiaojiu’s large hand gripped tightly, his palm instantly filled with fine sweat.

Uncle…

Did she remember him?

Has his little Yaya finally remembered him?

Unexpectedly, just as Mu Xiaojiu was so excited he almost stood up, Baili Xia merely blinked.

A bit embarrassed, but still spoke up despite the awkwardness.

“Uncle… it’s late, why don’t you also rest early! Whatever you need to say to Brother, can it wait until tomorrow?”

Brother said he would sleep on the sofa, why does he have to sleep on the sofa?

Are there no rooms outside?

She still couldn’t remember, where exactly is this place?

The man she called Uncle was momentarily frozen there.

Expressionless, just nodded lightly, mechanically.

Only then did Baili Xia breathe a sigh of relief, uncover the quilt, and lie down directly.

Although Uncle was still here, since he promised to rest early, he should soon fall asleep too, right?

Looking up at Xiaoyao, she gently pulled on his sleeve with an expectant look.

That look, definitely wanting him to quickly come up to sleep with her.

Mu Xiaoyao turned back to look at Mu Xiaojiu, but found his gaze lost somewhere, completely absorbed.

Shaking his head awkwardly, he lifted the quilt and slipped inside.

But what made him even more embarrassed was that as soon as he got under the quilt, Baili Xia’s soft arms wrapped around him.

Baili Xia’s body leaned towards Mu Xiaoyao, her right hand gently resting on his chest.

Mu Xiaoyao’s face felt like it was on fire; Uncle was still here, this girl was truly unrestrained.

He wondered how Uncle would deal with him later!

But, no matter what, she had come back properly this time, for now, that was enough.

This situation is better than when she hated him before.

He really didn’t want to hurt her, but within the family, many things were beyond his control.

Her return like this is actually good for everyone…

Even though she forgot Uncle, at least, she seemed not to hate him now.

Mu Xiaoyao hesitated for a long time before finally turning off the room’s light.

Turning off the light wasn’t because he wanted to do anything, just to let her rest at ease.

Even though this girl kept snuggling into his arms, with Uncle’s keen eyesight, he should see that he had no improper intentions towards her.

But still, Uncle was just on the sofa not far away, and here he was, sleeping with his woman…

Mu Xiaoyao’s face showed no change, but his back was already covered in a thin layer of sweat.

The feeling of pins and needles on his back was truly uncomfortable.

Yet, this girl kept squirming in his arms.

Gently tugging at Mu Xiaoyao’s coat, Baili Xia snuggled closer, whispering very softly.

“…Brother, he… why doesn’t Uncle go back to his room to sleep? Are there no guest rooms outside?”

Mu Xiaoyao was stunned and suddenly found himself in a difficult position.

He’s not at all used to crafting lies.

“He…

you just woke up, Uncle is worried that you haven’t fully recovered, he doesn’t want to leave you at night, afraid that you might suddenly relapse and faint.”

“I’m fine, I’m really fine.” Baili Xia tugged at his coat again.

Lowering her voice once more: “Can you tell him, I’m really all right, I… I’m not used to having outsiders in the room.”

Outsider!

Mu Xiaoyao instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

Those words weren’t from him, this girl can’t remember Uncle now, so…

it was an unintended mistake.

Uncle…

he shouldn’t blame her, right?

But, it’s imaginable how painful Uncle’s heart must feel.
