Wen Yu pushed Mu Xuri into the hall and by the sofa.

Once Mu Xiaojiu sat down, Mu Xuri stared at him and slowly opened his mouth.

“Jiu, Mu Group’s overall earnings this year are quite good, and the dividends for the shareholders are high.”

“If it weren’t for Baili Yang’s issue, our Mu Group’s stock price would have risen even further.”

Mu Xiaojiu smiled faintly and did not respond.

Ye Hua stood by silently.

All of this is trivial; under Mu Xiaojiu’s leadership, Mu Corporation’s performance doubles annually, and the year-end dividends are naturally impressive.

The situation with Baili Yang is something that had to be dealt with.

Although it hurt the girl, the revenge was necessary.

Seeing there was no response, Mu Xuri continued, “Jiu, I know you have done significant work for Mu Group.

Without you, Mu Group wouldn’t have developed to its current scale.”

“Although you’ve decided to step down from the CEO position, I believe Mu Group still needs you; third brother hopes you can continue to contribute to Mu Group.”

There was more to say, but Mu Xiaojiu raised his hand to stop him.

“Let’s discuss these matters after the holidays.

During this time, I’d like to rest and not talk about business.”

Mu Xuri anxiously replied, “This matter is very important, Jiu…”

“Third brother, if we must talk about this now, then I must ask you to leave.”

Mu Xiaojiu’s words leaked coldness; clearly, this was his final refusal.

Mu Xuri’s hand reached towards his wheelchair, his fingers trembling slightly.

That same indifferent attitude—how many times has he used this attitude to speak to him?

Mu Xiaojiu’s attitude clearly aimed to delay; he had no intention of relinquishing the CEO position.

Wen Yu quickly patted Mu Xuri’s shoulder gently, calming him down.

“Yes, now that it’s New Year’s, let’s not talk about business matters. We’ll discuss these things after the holiday; it’s not too late.”

Mu Xuri suppressed his anger and withdrew his hand.

He coldly snorted, unwilling to speak further.

Just then, the servant presented freshly brewed tea.

Ye Hua immediately took it, personally pouring a cup for each of the three.

The three began to drink tea and the atmosphere finally eased.

However, since Mu Xiaojiu wished not to discuss Mu Group matters, Mu Xuri also lost interest in talking.

After sitting a while, he mentioned wanting to go for a walk.

Wen Yu smiled awkwardly towards Mu Xiaojiu and pushed Mu Xuri out of Sihai Residence.

Ye Hua watched them exit the courtyard of Sihai Residence before returning to Mu Xiaojiu’s side.

“Mr. Xiaojiu, Miss Xiaxia… seems to have forgotten even Mr.Xuri.”

Mu Xiaojiu nodded slightly without speaking.

He also noticed that the girl no longer recognized third brother.

However, forgetting might be a good thing.

This way, she won’t recall past events, nor harbor any resentment.

Whenever he sees her now, her face always carries a smile, a genuine smile, free of any pressure.

If she can be joyful and happy, then let memory fade.

Starting anew would be good.

…

Leaving Sihai Residence, Wen Yu gently pushed Mu Xuri back towards the main house.

Mu Xuri still felt angry, his icy demeanor chilling Wen Yu to the bone.

After walking for a while, Wen Yu softly attempted to comfort him.

“Xuri, have you forgotten what we agreed on earlier?

We can’t rush this matter; being too hasty may backfire.”

Mu Xuri coldly snorted, angrily saying, “That kid’s become bold now, truly arrogant, daring to oppose me.”

“Do you really think he’ll not forget his roots and willingly give up the CEO position?”
