Mu Xiaojiu said lightly, “Blame me?”

He didn’t say anything more, pulling her along as they continued walking.

But Baili Xia couldn’t take it anymore, tugging at his hand, she tiptoed, trying to talk to him.

Unfortunately, her height wasn’t enough, even tiptoeing didn’t help.

Mu Xiaojiu lowered his eyes to look at her, a subtle smile appearing in his eyes.

He slightly bent down, and Baili Xia’s thin lips finally reached his ear.

“Uncle, if this goes on, not only will we not be able to buy anything, but these girls won’t be able to survive.”

Baili Xia wasn’t exaggerating; just now, a girl almost fell off the escalator trying to see Uncle.

If any accident really happened, she wouldn’t want to witness it.

“Follow me.”

After speaking, Baili Xia pulled his hand and continued walking forward.

Left turn, right turn, after walking for a while, they finally arrived at a boutique.

Mu Xiaojiu felt a stir in his heart; this was the place from before, they had returned here once again!

The girl clearly couldn’t remember the things they had done together before, but somehow, it seemed that everything was going in circles, and they were repeating the story of the past.

Mu Xiaojiu followed Baili Xia into the boutique; because the store wasn’t very large, the girls finally didn’t follow them in.

But the shop assistant inside was stunned by their sudden appearance.

“You, it’s you two…” Looking at Mu Xiaojiu and Baili Xia, the female shop assistant couldn’t speak.

Mu Xiaojiu furrowed his brow slightly, a hint of displeasure on his face.

Unexpectedly, the shop assistant was someone they had seen before, who recognized them at a glance.

Although he didn’t mind others recognizing him, if these comments led Baili Xia to recall past events and cause her headaches, it was something he didn’t want to see.

The female shop assistant clearly felt the chill emanating from Mu Xiaojiu, quickly composed herself, and lowered her head, not daring to speak again.

Baili Xia was a little surprised; the shop assistant had clearly said “you two” earlier, as if she recognized them.

She wanted to ask, but seeing Uncle’s change in demeanor, she felt something was off.

“Uncle, she…”

“She mistook me.” Mu Xiaojiu said flatly.

“Oh.” With Uncle not wanting to talk, she didn’t ask further.

“Let’s go, pick out some things.” Baili Xia pulled Mu Xiaojiu and started exploring the boutique.

After walking a few steps, she suddenly stopped.

She looked back, glancing at the hand she was holding Mu Xiaojiu’s with.

“Ah.” She exclaimed softly and immediately let go.

“Uncle, is your hand okay?”

Only then did she realize she had been pulling Uncle’s injured arm all the way.

They had been walking so fast; she wondered if she had caused him pain.

Mu Xiaojiu smiled lightly, appearing indifferent.

“I’m fine.”

He didn’t say, it hurt a bit, but there’s a sweetness in his heart.

Baili Xia suddenly felt heartache.

Despite the pain, he still smiled to reassure her; Uncle is really good to her, even better than the parents who adopted her back then.

Feeling bittersweet, Baili Xia changed to holding his other hand and continued walking.

She didn’t even notice how naturally she held his hand!

The two walked around the boutique for a while, picking out a bunch of small items like scarves, sunglasses, and hats.

After choosing some things for herself, she pulled Mu Xiaojiu into the fitting room.

She arranged these items on Mu Xiaojiu, and seeing him completely transformed, she smiled with satisfaction.

Now, those girls shouldn’t be able to recognize Uncle, right?

However, Uncle’s current appearance, why does it feel vaguely familiar?

It seems like I’ve seen it somewhere before…
