Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1815
In the study, Mu Xiaojiu sat quietly in front of the desk, looking calmly at Mu Xuri on the opposite side, without a trace of emotion in his eyes.
Today was very unusual; Mu Xuri actually brought Ning Anran to the Sihai Residence.
He should know Mu Xiaojiu’s attitude toward Ning Anran.
Bringing her here, did he expect Mu Xiaojiu to show her a pleasant face?
“Jiu, I’ve come to see you a few times recently, but Ye Hua stopped me outside each time.”
“I don’t know if there’s something troublesome happening on your end; you can tell me, your third brother will help you.”
Mu Xuri started the conversation.
“It’s nothing, just in a bad mood and slept a few days.”
Mu Xiaojiu casually brushed the matter aside.
Seeing him not mentioning the matter of rescuing Baili Xia, Mu Xuri didn’t press further, only saying, “That’s good then, just remember to tell your third brother if anything comes up.”
Mu Xiaojiu simply nodded slightly and said nothing more.
The room suddenly fell into silence, the atmosphere somewhat awkward.
It seemed that if Mu Xuri didn’t speak, Mu Xiaojiu had nothing much to say.
But since Mu Xuri came to talk, he could of course wait patiently for him.
Finally, Mu Xuri couldn’t hold back.
“Jiu, regarding the company shareholders issue, I really have some matters to discuss with you, I hope you can give me some time.”
His tone was much gentler than a few days ago, even his attitude was particularly polite.
Such a Mu Xuri, Mu Xiaojiu had never seen before.
Usually in front of him, there was always a kind of overbearing demeanor of an elder to a junior.
But back then, Mu Xiaojiu didn’t mind.
After all, Mu Xuri was both a brother and a trainer to him, and they shared common goals.
Now that those bonds were gone, his attitude might need to change too.
His attitude towards Mu Xiaojiu improved, so Mu Xiaojiu also simplified his stance with him.
Even though it was previously said not to discuss business during the holidays, that was only spoken out of defiance.
“Third brother, please go ahead.”
Having thought it through, Mu Xiaojiu was no longer so indifferent to him.
A smile appeared on Mu Xuri’s face, and he spoke sincerely, “Jiu, after all, you are still the CEO of the Mu Group, familiar with many matters much more than I am.”
“Recently, I’ve discovered some issues within the company and feel they might affect our company’s interests.”
“That’s why I want to bring them up with you to see how we might rectify them.”
“What specific problems are you referring to?” Mu Xiaojiu asked.
Mu Xuri straightened up, his voice becoming serious.
“For example, in our finance department, many expenses are directly signed off by them without going through us.”
“And in the sales department, the current management strategy is that essentially each sales group operates like an independent company, enjoying complete financial independence, making it difficult for us to supervise them.”
He stopped and looked up at Mu Xiaojiu, without continuing.
Mu Xiaojiu lowered his eyes in thought, before speaking after a while: “Third brother, these departmental issues are not really problems.”
“I have my management strategies; giving them appropriate freedom can instead stimulate their enthusiasm, allowing them to fully utilize their capabilities.”
“How things are managed in the future, third brother, you are free to try your way, as long as the performance is accountable to the shareholders.”
Mu Xiaojiu didn’t want to speak too harshly, to criticize Mu Xuri for being too simplistic in his view.
For now, these people were his subordinates, and he could of course control them.
Mu Xuri was just worried because they were all his people inside.
But he had no intention of vying for control, people can be gradually withdrawn, but it can’t be done too hastily.
He didn’t care about the Mu Group, so why must his third brother be so aggressive?
