Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1878: Capítulo 1878: Chapter 1881
Baili Xia looked at Bei Fengjin and gently called out, “Uncle Fengjin.”
Upon hearing her voice, Wu Ming’s figure paused slightly.
Uncle? When did she acknowledge him as such?
Bei Fengjin didn’t say anything, just lifted his hand, signaling Baili Xia to come in as well, and casually closed the door.
“Uncle Fengjin, thank you for the medicine you gave me.”
As soon as she entered, Baili Xia immediately expressed her gratitude.
Only then did Bei Fengjin carefully observe Baili Xia, noticing the change in her complexion.
This girl had already taken the Heaven Pill.
Her aura was completely different from before, becoming much stronger.
“Did you encounter danger?”
Baili Xia nodded, “I was gravely injured. If it weren’t for your medicine, I probably wouldn’t be able to stand here now.”
Bei Fengjin understood that if it wasn’t a severe injury, she wouldn’t have had to use the Heaven Pill.
He nodded, a complicated look flashing through his eyes.
Such a young girl, yet her experiences were completely disproportionate to her age.
Sitting down at the table, he said indifferently, “Did you come back this time for Tianyou’s sake?”
This girl was sentimental. Besides this matter, he couldn’t think of any other reason she’d return.
He didn’t believe she’d fallen for Bei Tianyou.
The person in front of him clearly had a special affection for that girl.
Wu Ming didn’t avoid the subject: “Yes, but I’m only following her.”
“You’re not getting involved?” Bei Fengjin raised an eyebrow.
“This sort of thing doesn’t interest me.”
Baili Xia hummed lightly, then sat down beside him.
“Uncle Fengjin, don’t talk about such matters with him. It’s pointless.”
Bei Fengjin didn’t mind and casually picked up the teapot, pouring them a cup of tea.
The relationship between these two wasn’t as simple as it appeared on the surface; their bickering was perfectly normal, just like in the past with You’er…
His gaze fell on Baili Xia’s face, the familiar tone and expression giving him a sense of illusion.
It seemed as if the person sitting beside him was her from many years ago.
Thinking of Bei Qingyou made his fingers inadvertently tremble, causing the tea to almost spill.
Bei Fengjin immediately composed himself, setting the teapot on the table.
“Some things can’t be forced,” he said indifferently.
Baili Xia inexplicably sensed the sadness in his voice, unsure if he was reminiscing about someone from the past.
“You two sit and wait for a while.” Bei Fengjin suddenly stood up, said this, and then turned to walk through the screen towards the Alchemy Room.
The screen blocked Baili Xia’s view, but she heard him open the cabinet of a secret room.
Wu Ming stood up, walked around the room, as if admiring the Alchemy Room’s layout.
There was a single bed in the room, which Bei Fengjin used to rest while making medicine.
He walked over and felt around the headboard a few times.
Baili Xia felt a bit strange, wondering why someone as aloof as Wu Ming would be interested in the things in this room.
The sound of Bei Fengjin’s footsteps ascending the stairs came, and Wu Ming also returned to take his seat at the table.
After a while, Bei Fengjin emerged through the screen with two bottles in his hands.
He placed the bottles on the table and gently pushed them towards Baili Xia.
“Girl, keep these two bottles of medicine as my gift for your visit.”
Watching those two medicine bottles, Wu Ming’s dark eyes flickered with a certain thought.
The bottles were just like the ones containing the Heaven Pill he had given to Baili Xia last time.
It wasn’t hard to imagine that the value of these medicines was definitely no less than that of the Heaven Pill.
Bei Fengjin’s words immediately confirmed his speculations.
“One is a Heaven Pill, the same as before. The other is for detoxification, I call it the Hundred Poison Pill.”
