Be Gentle, My Master
Chapter 1944
Baili Xia opened the door, Fan Yi was standing by the entrance.
“Miss Xiaxia.”
“So early, what’s up?” Baili Xia steadied herself, the discomfort in her stomach made it hard for her to focus.
“What’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?” Fan Yi’s heart tightened with concern.
Baili Xia gently shook her head, “It’s nothing, just drank too much last night.”
“What’s the matter?”
Fan Yi composed himself and said, “Mr. Xiaojiu has sent someone to pick you up.”
He felt somewhat dissatisfied with Mu Xiaojiu, sending someone to fetch her so early the morning after the competition seemed too hurried.
Of course, above all, he didn’t want Miss Xiaxia to leave at all.
During her stay, the young master seemed to smile much more.
Once Miss Xiaxia leaves, the young master would be all alone again.
“When?” Baili Xia was startled, her tipsiness completely vanished.
“They’ll be here soon.”
Baili Xia frowned slightly, unsure why Uncle was so anxious to bring her back.
“I’ll go ask Wu Ming.”
She didn’t want to leave yet; here, with Bei Tianyou and the old master, she could feel the warmth of familial ties.
“He left yesterday,” Fan Yi said lightly.
“What?” Baili Xia was stunned.
Turns out Wu Ming left yesterday, no wonder she hadn’t seen him all day.
Suddenly, it felt like she’d lost something, a wave of melancholy swept over her.
“I’ll go pack my luggage.”
She closed the door, leaving Fan Yi outside, mechanically walked into the room, and started packing her things.
The situation came too suddenly, without any time to prepare.
She hadn’t even said goodbye to the old master, the Old Madam, Bei Fengjin and them.
The night before last, the old master had just returned.
She hadn’t gotten the chance to sit and talk with him properly.
Uncle wouldn’t even give her this little bit of time.
Casually putting clothes and daily necessities into the suitcase, Baili Xia dragged it out the door.
Fan Yi was still waiting at the door, and he instinctively took the suitcase.
“You go have breakfast first, I’ll carry the suitcase.”
Baili Xia nodded and started walking downstairs.
After a few steps, she suddenly stopped.
Looking at the door of the room next to her, she thought for a moment and finally decided to walk over.
Fan Yi knew what she was going to do, so he didn’t wait for her anymore and went downstairs carrying the suitcase.
Guisu opened the door, slightly taken aback when he saw Baili Xia outside.
“Awake so early?”
This girl drank so much last night, he originally thought she wouldn’t get up until noon.
Baili Xia’s lips moved, unsure of how to start.
Guisu frowned and said in a deep voice, “What’s the matter?”
She pressed her lips together and finally made up her mind.
“I’m leaving.”
“Leaving? Returning to Jin City?”
Baili Xia nodded, this matter couldn’t be kept from Guisu.
But she felt his sincerity and was truly reluctant.
“I’ll go with you.”
Guisu saw Fan Yi downstairs carrying Baili Xia’s suitcase.
A chill ran through him, and he immediately turned to go back into the room to pack his own simple luggage.
“You can’t come with me.” Behind him, Baili Xia’s voice drifted softly.
Guisu’s body trembled, standing there frozen.
He turned his head to look at Baili Xia, the cold instantly sealing the space around them.
“Why?” His voice was frighteningly low, even Baili Xia couldn’t help but shiver.
Baili Xia took two deep breaths to withstand the immense pressure.
