Several girls had finished selecting their dresses when they noticed that Wen Yu hadn’t chosen anything for herself.

“Aren’t you picking anything?” Baili Xia looked at her and asked.

Wen Yu gave a graceful smile and said, “I occasionally attend banquets, so I’m already prepared.”

She looked at Baili Xia, her eyes showing a hint of complexity.

“But Xiaxia’s taste is quite similar to mine.”

Baili Xia smiled slightly without saying anything.

Although she felt this woman’s attitude was a bit strange today, how could she know what Wen Yu was thinking?

Wen Yu also didn’t say anything more, waving her hand to signal the servants to take away the remaining evening dresses.

The servants immediately packed up all the dresses and left.

“Tonight’s banquet is at the Imperial Hotel, we’ll leave together at six o’clock.”

“Alright.”

Upon hearing the name Imperial Hotel, a hint of curiosity flashed in Baili Xia’s mind.

How does this name resemble the school’s name? The school is called Imperial College, and this hotel is named Imperial Hotel…

After seeing Wen Yu and Ning Anran off, Baili Xia, Zimo, and Xiaoxiao could finally sit down and talk properly.

…

In the evening, Baili Xia and Xiaoxiao changed into their evening dresses and waited in the living room.

Near six o’clock, horn sounds could be heard from outside the yard.

The two immediately walked out; it was Mu Lingchuan driving over to pick them up.

“Mrs. Wen and Ning Anran are departing from the main house, let’s go.”

Seeing Baili Xia, he explained casually.

Baili Xia just nodded slightly, not saying anything.

Sitting in the back seat with Xiaoxiao, the group quickly headed to the Imperial Hotel.

In about half an hour, the car reached the entrance of the hotel lobby.

Baili Xia had been to the Imperial Hotel before.

This is the hotel near the school, but it wasn’t called Imperial Hotel back then.

The last visit was with Ning Anran, the two of them feeling like the rural woman entering the White Palace, dazzled by the sight.

But after so long, seeing such scenes was no longer surprising.

Yet, why was the name changed?

Mu Lingchuan handed the car keys to the valet, asking them to park the car.

He wrapped an arm around Zimo and guided her slowly towards the hotel.

“Big brother, why was this hotel renamed?”

Finally, Baili Xia couldn’t help but voice the question.

Mu Lingchuan’s eyes flickered with something, as if he had words he couldn’t express.

Seeing his hesitation, Baili Xia roughly guessed the reason.

“If you can’t say it, just forget it.”

Mu Lingchuan’s face showed a hint of embarrassment: “It’s not that there’s anything I can’t say.”

“This was originally Mu family’s property, but later, several other families acquired quite a few shares, so it was renamed.”

He paused and continued, “But don’t worry, the largest shareholder here is still Uncle.”

Just being bought out of shares wouldn’t necessarily require a name change; such a move might lose some old customers.

Could it be that these events were caused by the previous internal conflict within Mu Group?

Does it mean that even Uncle’s power in the Mu family is being gradually diminished?

Baili Xia had many more questions, but she held back from asking them.

Meanwhile, Wen Yu’s car also arrived, and Mu Xuri was not with her; he must have come earlier.

The group entered the lobby and took the elevator straight to the third floor, where the banquet was being held.

As they stepped out of the elevator, they were immediately facing the entrance to the banquet.

Several model-like greeting girls stood on either side of the entrance, smiling and welcoming each guest.

“Mr. Mu, please sign in.”

A girl politely extended her hand to guide Mu Lingchuan to a table on the side.

Mu Lingchuan walked over and elegantly signed his name in the register.
