The classmates’ gazes shifted to Ning Anran, making her feel a bit uneasy.

She wasn’t injured alongside Baili Xia, but their injuries were related.

If she said she got hurt because of Baili Xia, would Baili Xia be upset?

She didn’t dare to provoke Baili Xia; the pain in her arm and leg was still there, she hadn’t forgotten.

“I…” She didn’t know what to say, opening her mouth only to close it again.

“Of course, we weren’t injured together.” Baili Xia suddenly spoke, looking relaxed.

The classmates made an “oh” sound and stopped asking questions.

Baili Xia walked to her seat and sat down, taking out her book to prepare for class.

When Ning Anran looked at her, her eyes held a trace of complexity.

What happened to Baili Xia? Now her attitude towards Ning seemed completely different.

Before, every time they met, she seemed annoyed, but now there was nothing on her face.

Baili Xia sat not far in front of her. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but ultimately didn’t.

The class bell rang, and the teacher came in holding some books.

The class was relaxed, and time flew by.

Time flies, moments fleeting, how Baili Xia wished time could freeze in the classroom.

Life without those rights and wrongs, fewer conflicts.

There was another class in the morning, and Ning Anran tried several times to find a chance to ask Baili Xia.

But classmates always surrounded Baili Xia, either Tan Xiao or others; she never got a good opportunity.

It wasn’t until school was over that Ning Anran left the classroom early to wait outside the teaching building.

She knew that when Baili Xia didn’t have classes in the afternoon, she would go home.

Sure enough, after a while, Baili Xia came down.

Seeing Ning Anran, Baili Xia only paused briefly before striding towards her.

She ignored Ning Anran and walked right past her towards the school gate.

“Baili Xia, what do you really mean?”

Behind her, Ning Anran’s voice came.

Baili Xia stopped, turned around to look at her, and smiled.

“What are you smiling at?” Ning Anran involuntarily stepped back.

Suddenly, she felt that being alone with Baili Xia might be dangerous.

Baili Xia gave her a faint smile and said, “We’re friends, remember? If I won’t help you, who else will?”

“You’re having such a hard time with the Mu family, I feel sorry for you, of course, I’d want to help.”

Her voice was calm, without a hint of impurity in her gaze, as if she was really speaking with an old friend.

But how could Ning Anran believe her?

She took another half-step back, her eyes locked onto Baili Xia.

Afraid she might suddenly come over, push her or kick her.

Suddenly, Baili Xia’s aura changed, becoming frighteningly cold.

Her face lost all warmth, and her gaze pierced Ning Anran like two sharp swords.

Baili Xia took two steps forward, her thin lips almost next to Ning Anran’s ear.

“I have to tell you, in the Mu family, if I want you to live, you live; if I want you to die, you die.”

“From now on, you’d better be careful. Don’t cause me any more trouble, or… you’ll die miserably.”

Ning Anran felt a chill run through her body; she had never seen Baili Xia like this before.

Where could such a murderous aura come from that frail body?

Baili Xia slowly walked away from Ning Anran, glancing at the tall figure approaching the school gate.

She gave Ning Anran a fierce glare, saying no more to her.

She turned around, a smile replacing her expression, and walked towards Mu Xiaoyao.
